Zach takes Ryan on a trip down memory lane. Kendall and Greenlee commiserate over Ryan. Jesse and Angie make plans for the future. Rob charms Opal. Erica and Carmen have a private fashion show.
The driver swerves the truck in which Erica and Carmen are riding and a few boxes tumble down. Both women are unharmed. Erica reaches for a box but Carmen thinks she is reaching for the gun. She tells Erica to stop trying to escape. Carmen notices one of the boxes has opened and finds designer clothes inside! She and Erica bond over the gorgeous dresses inside. Erica explains about the different designers and fabrics; Carmen is enthralled. She decides to try one dress on but because of the handcuffs, they have to cut the dress a little to make it fit. Carmen decides to have her own, private fashion show and tries on more dresses. Erica begins talking about the price of the different dresses, making Carmen feel ill. "I'm afraid to touch it," she says but Erica insists that she try another dress on. The truck stops and as the driver opens the door Carmen points the gun at the door!
Opal meets Robert at ConFusion for a drink. She asks if, through his FBI contacts, he has heard anything about Erica but he hasn't. They order drinks and Rob turns on the charm, thanking her for being a friend to him. He wonders if Tad will come around, too, and Opal says Tad just needs a little time. He says he should just leave town but Opal tells him to stick around for a while. He decides that is just what he will do, since he has another "case" he is working on! He asks about her personal life, which makes Opal feel good. She reads his palm and says he is a shrewd businessman. Opal leaves, telling Rob to call her soon. When she is gone, one of Rob's associates arrives. He has Mrs. Remington's necklace, which is a pure diamond now that it has been cut down. Rob says the next diamond will be even better - and Jesse will lead him straight to it!
Jesse arrives at Angie's newly rented apartment. She's making dinner and Frankie is at the hospital working a shift. Jesse says he's checked the fire escapes and stairwells. Angie reminds him that things are fine now. They finish the dinner preparations together. Jesse says he has been talking to Derek and Angie interrupts, saying she won't allow him to rejoin the force. They sit down to dinner and Angie says a prayer for continued health, happiness and safety. Jesse says he has prayed for similar things for the past 20 years; Angie says she has, too. "From the deepest part of my soul, I love you," Angie says and kisses him. Jesse takes her to the bedroom and they make love. After, Angie talks about the future, hoping Jesse will be able to leave the past in the past. Jesse still wonders what Papel really wanted from him. Angie tells him about Mrs. Remington's death and her missing diamond, wondering what it all means.
At ConFusion, Kendall meets Greenlee. She goes after the drinks while Kendall obsesses over the phone, hoping Erica will call. When Greens returns, Kendall tells her about Ryan's visit. Greens warns her that Ryan isn't just trying to remember his past - he is trying to win her back. Then, she wonders why Ryan hasn't remembered her yet. Both women realize they want Ryan in their lives for selfish reasons and wonder why they can't be happy with Aidan and Zach. They agree that they can put Ryan in the past now, though, because they have learned from their mistakes. Kendall starts thinking about Erica again and Greenlee assures her that Erica will wind up on top - like usual. She brings up Ryan and they toast to leaving the past in the past.
At the Slater's, Zach reacts badly to seeing Ryan, who says he is just trying to help find Erica. Zach doesn't believe him. Ryan tells Zach about lying about his memories. Zach isn't surprised. Ryan apologizes, saying he was just trying to make everyone feel better. Zach doesn't buy it and tells him to try a doctor next time. Ryan says doctors are no help. Zach suggests that Ryan can't remember because there are things he has done in the past four years he doesn't want to remember. Zach leads Ryan to Cambias where Zach has files on the past four years. He tells Ryan about Jonathan's mental illness and his own vasectomy. Then he pulls out a DVD. "You want to see some more?" he asks. Ryan doesn't but Zach bullies him into it. Stunned, Ryan watches as he berates Greenlee over being pregnant and orders her to terminate the pregnancy! On tape, he terrorizes Greenlee and slams her against a wall. Next, Zach takes Ryan to the cliffs where he faked his death. Zach says he helped Ryan then but he is done helping Ryan hurt other people. He walks away.
