Ryan is upset that Joe doesn't have more answers; Angie and Greens talk about Jesse. Ryan interrupts Kendall's book signing. Jesse convinces Tad to keep his secret. Zach is worried about Ryan's amnesia.
Inside Frankie's hospital room, Angie checks his vitals. He tells her how sorry he is for staying away so long. Another doctor comes in and says it is time for another dose. Angie lets them work, goes to a corner and thanks Jesse for giving her strength.
In the hallway, Kendall and Zach approach Ryan and Annie. Ryan is surprised that Annie told Zach about the amnesia and tells them that it is kind of surreal that life has moved on without him. Kendall brings up Greenlee and tells Ryan about her romance with Aidan. Then he brings up Zach and is a little bit heartbroken with Kendall hugs her husband and tells Ryan just how happy she is. Ryan is quiet for a moment, then apologizes to Annie for being unable to remember her. "But when I look at Kendall all I see is the woman that I love," he says! Ryan says he is sorry that he can't seem to move on but he doesn't know what to do to change things. The group disperses and Joe stops by. He tells Ryan and Annie that the tests haven't determined why Ryan has amnesia and they also didn't determine how long the amnesia will last. The news upsets Ryan. Joe leaves. Annie stays with Ryan, saying she'll do whatever it takes to help him regain his memory. Ryan hesitates. He asks what her last name is and she says Lavery. Ryan asks for time alone and Annie agrees to back off just a little bit, surprising Ryan. She hugs him and says, "I am your wife and I'll be there when you come home." Ryan walks away.
Meanwhile in Greenlee's room, Aidan is sitting with her and talking about the future. He keeps saying, "You're alive," as if he can't really believe it. Angie comes in and talks to Greens. After a while Greenlee asks about Frankie's dad; Angie tells her about the romance with Jesse and that he died. Kendall walks in, still upset from her talk with Ryan and attacks Greenlee's fingernails. Greens yanks her hand away and tells Kendall to settle down.
Amanda is busy getting conFusion ready for the big book signing when Kelly, Kendall's editor, walks in. She asks when Kendall will be there but Amanda doesn't know. Kelly becomes angry and tells Amanda to get Kendall there no matter what. Amanda tries calling Kendall and finally gets through. Kendall says she can't come to the book launch. Kelly grabs the phone from Amanda and tells Kendall to get to conFusion - or else! Greenlee takes the phone from Kendall and tells Kelly she'll be there. They hang up; Greenlee points Kendall toward the door and tells her to get going.
Zach runs into Aidan in the hallway. He tells Aidan about Ryan's amnesia and says he'll be watching Lavery until his full memory returns. Aidan returns to Greenlee, who asks what he was talking to Zach about. Aidan doesn't answer. Zach walks in; Greenlee sends Aidan to the cafeteria for some snacks. Zach sits with her, asking if she is really okay. Greenlee says there is something going on that no one is talking about and she wants to know what it is. Zach pretends not to know but Greenlee won't give up so he tells her about Ryan. Greens warns him that things may not be smooth sailing until Ryan's memory returns.
Aidan sees Annie alone in the waiting room and tries to reassure her that Ryan will remember and come back to her.
Angie returns to Frankie's room and sits with her son while he sleeps. She falls asleep, too, and dreams of Jesse. She screams for him and wakes up. Frankie wakes, too, and tells her everything will be okay. He asks Angie to tell him about Jesse's death but Angie doesn't want to talk about that. Frankie tells Angie that he is positive Jesse was there but Angie insists it must have only been Jesse's spirit. Frankie convinces Angie to go to a hotel to rest for a while, assuring her that he will be fine.
Tad sits quietly in the car with Jesse for a few minutes, trying to wrap his brain around the fact that his friend isn't really dead. Finally Tad asks where Jesse has been; instead of answering, Jesse says he couldn't stay away and let Angie lose another person she loves in this hospital. Jesse refuses when Tad says he has to see Angie. Tad says Jesse is making a huge mistake. "You have 20 years of unfinished business in that hospital," Tad says, "You can't afford to wait until it's too late." Jesse says he can't go inside but Tad begs him to change his mind, swearing that he and his friends can keep Jesse and his family safe this time around. Jesse says no one can help and begs Tad to just let it drop. Tad leaves the car and Jesse starts to drive away. Just then Angie comes into the garage! Tad talks to Jesse through the window but he just drives away. Angie asks who he was talking to but Tad keeps Jesse's secret.
Kendall arrives at conFusion. The crowd screams for her. One reporter asks how and when she started writing. More questions - like if the sex scenes are based on real life experiences - are peppered at her. Kendall answers vaguely and then signs some books. Ryan walks in and Amanda realizes something is off with him but can't put her finger on it. Ryan turns around and leaves the party. Kelly pulls Kendall away from the crush of people to talk about a full-fledged book tour. Amanda comes over and tells Kendall about Ryan stopping by; Kendall is worried and heads up to the roof when Amanda says that is where Ryan went. On the roof, Ryan reaches out to her. "I need you to be with me," he says.
