Adam catches JR in the act. Annie and Ryan learn that she isn't a donor match. Greenlee's condition worsens. Jesse swears he'll stand by Frankie but he avoids everyone else at the hospital.
At the Chandler mansion JR opens Adam's desk. "What are you doing going through my things?" Adam asks. JR says he was just feeling nostalgic and was looking for an old scrapbook. He pulls it out of the drawer and they go through all of JR's old pictures, school ribbons and report cards. Stuart put the book together for Adam, who chuckles over some of the memories. Adam brings up work and hands JR a prospectus on the beauty network. He says it is the perfect new area for Chandler Enterprises to go into. "Chandler will be nothing but a parent company," Adam says, assuring JR that he will have full control of the business. JR is touched but wonders what else Adam is up to. He shakes Adam's hand and they have a deal! Adam goes to take care of some work. As he returns JR is going through the scrapbook and pulls out a picture that angers Adam. The picture is of JR and Tad! Adam rips it up and throws it in the fire. JR turns the subject back to business and decides to go over some of the numbers for the beauty network. Uninterested, Adam goes up to his bedroom. When he is gone, JR goes back to the wall safe and punches in the code. It's been changed! JR tries a few more codes but nothing works. Adam, meanwhile, is watching from another room! He calls someone and says, "I've got a job for you."
Annie and Ryan are getting ready to go to the hospital when Annie realizes they don't have a sitter for Emma. "Who's Emma?" Ryan asks! Annie is stunned; Ryan tries to cover his lapse, but she is really worried. She asks him to see Joe while he's at the hospital with Greenlee and Kendall. Ryan says he doesn't need to see Joe and when Annie suggests a psychiatrist he becomes very upset. He is almost to the door when Emma walks down the stairs, crying. Ryan hurries back to Annie and Emma and holds the girl for a while. She tells him she had a bad dream. Ryan tells her that bad dreams happen to everyone; Emma says she dreamed about Richie! Annie and Ryan tell her that dreams don't mean anything and offer to let Emma sleep downstairs for a little while. She likes that idea. Ryan grabs a fireplace poker and tells Emma it is a special sword that will keep her safe. Annie gets a call from the hospital about her blood test. She isn't a match for Richie! She is saddened by the news and asks Ryan what will happen to her brother. Ryan isn't really interested and leaves; Annie begins to cry.
Babe and Richie are having a couple of after dinner drinks at conFusion. She orders him a health smoothie that Richie really doesn't want. As they drink they chat about what they want to do with their grown-up lives. He tells her his only dream is her. He goes to the bar to get real drinks and when he returns, Babe tries to keep things on a friendly level. Richie says he doesn't want to give up his dream of her, making her laugh. He asks about JR and Babe says her ex has moved in - and out! - of the condo in record time. Richie gets a call and learns that Annie isn't a donor match. Babe tells him they will find someone else. Annie calls and asks how he is doing. Richie says he'll live - for now. She asks if there is more she can do but he says no and hangs up.
Meanwhile at the hospital, Kendall is making calls to anyone and everyone, asking them to come to the hospital to donate blood for Greenlee and Frankie. Zach asks Joe what is going on with the patients and Joe says the virus is mutating and their efforts aren't working!
Aidan is chatting with Greenlee when she begins to have trouble breathing. Angie calls for nurses and puts a tube down Greens' throat to help her breathe. Julia uses a squeeze tube to get air into Greenlee's lungs. Angie takes Aidan, Kendall and Zach into the hall and says they are trying everything. A nurse tells her to get to Frankie's room where Joe is and Angie leaves. Jack arrives; another doctor updates him. Aidan watches Jack with Greenlee through the hospital window. Jack comes out of Greens' hospital room as Tad arrives. They tell him about the poisonous plant and wonder when the ordeal will end.
Kendall and Zach go to the waiting area to talk. She tells him about her book and Zach is shocked. She tells Zach that Greenlee got it published for her and they were celebrating when the first attack came. Zach tells Kendall not to blame herself and that Greenlee will survive. "I have to do something," Kendall says and walks out. Kendall goes into Greenlee's room as Julia is finishing up a check of her vitals. She touches Greens' hand and she wakes up for a few minutes. Kendall has a bag full of goodies for Greenlee - a silk gown, a beautiful hair clip. Kendall tells Greenlee about the upcoming book tour and asks if Greens will come along. "I need you, Greenlee. . .it'll be just like old times," she says. Greenlee flashes back to some of their best moments, including the moment Greens' found out she was pregnant and the night Kendall held Greenlee after the miscarriage. Both women begin to cry.
Kendall returns to the waiting area, where Jack is waiting. They sit down and Jack says when Greenlee makes it through this, it will be all thanks to Kendall.
In Frankie's room, Jesse begins to cry. He apologizes to Frankie for leaving when Frankie was a kid and says he would do anything to fight this disease for his child. "I love you, I never stopped," Jesse says as Frankie opens his eyes! Jesse hurries out of the room. Frankie, whose vision is blurred, wonders if he really saw his father. Joe comes in and Frankie tries to tell him what he saw but can't speak. He writes "Dad was here" on Joe's medical chart! Angie walks in and Joe shows her the note; she is shocked and believes Frankie is hallucinating. Frankie opens his eyes and whispers that Jesse was definitely there. "It was real, Mom," he says before dropping back into unconsciousness. Joe and Angie step into the hall. Angie tells Joe that she can't lose another family member in this hospital. Angie returns to Frankie's bedside to make a few calls to the CDC and other researchers she knows, trying to hurry the research along. Angie returns to Frankie's side, holds his hand and says, "Jesse I need you now more than ever." Tad walks in and tells Angie to take a break. They sit in the hall for a while; Angie tells Tad about the illness and the research. Then she tells him about Frankie's "hallucination"; Tad says he's seen Jesse, too, with Jenny! "He showed me the way home. That's what he's doing for Frankie," Tad says reassuringly. Jesse returns to Frankie's bedside and promises not to leave his son again.
Zach runs into Joe, who says they don't have all the answers yet but they are getting close. Zach returns to Greenlee's room and watches through the window with Aidan for a few moments. Zach tells Aidan that she won't give up easily. "She's strong, she's not gonna quit," Zach says, asking Aidan not to quit on Greenlee, either. They turn back to Greenlee, who begins seizing! Julia is there and tells them to get Angie, quickly!
Angie and Joe rush into Greenlee's room and manage to stop the seizure. Angie says Greenlee can't take much more; she takes the family into the hall and tells them all that she doesn't know how to stop Greenlee's or Frankie's illness. Zach and Aidan fill Jack in about Sylvester. Angie hurries off to the research lab. Jack calls Erica, upset about Greenlee but needing a distraction. He tells her to take care of the stock problem they discussed at dinner earlier that night. Zach and Kendall go down the hall; she is almost asleep standing up and Zach tells her to go home. Kendall refuses, saying she has to be with Greenlee now. She returns to Greenlee's room. Aidan returns to Greenlee's bedside and holds her hand. Ryan arrives.
Joe finds Angie back at Frankie's bedside and tells her that she shouldn't continue treating Frankie because of the conflict of interest clause at the hospital. Because she is Frankie's mom, the hospital would like her to back away! Angie, crying, tells Joe to make an exception to the rule. "I didn't come home just to see my son die," she says. Joe agrees not to remove Angie and she returns to watch Frankie through the window. Angie thinks she sees someone lurking down the hall but can't see anything so she returns to Frankie's side. Around the corner, Jesse is watching!
