An editor talks to Kendall about her book. Angie admits Greenlee to the hospital; Greenlee sneaks out! Jack and Erica co-host New Beginnings. Annie forces a deal on Richie.
Annie and Richie meet at the hospital for the marrow donor test. Richie is very friendly and Annie tells him to back off. She says she isn't doing the test for him; she is doing it because of Ryan's change of heart. Richie asks what will happen if she is a match. Annie says she'll give him the transplant if he will confess all of his sins and then move far, far away from her. She hands him a sheet of paper to write on. "Clever," Richie says, sitting down, "You're more like me than you know." Annie says she doesn't care where Richie goes, and says his confession will never be seen by police as long as Richie leaves town - for good! The nurse comes by to see if Annie is ready for the test. Annie hands Richie the paper but he won't take it. "Good luck," she says and turns to leave. Richie asks her to wait.
At the hospital Angie calls Cassandra to update her on Frankie's condition. She doesn't know much more than the night before but promises that Frankie will be fine. When she hangs up Frankie is awake and asks about his sister. Angie focuses on Frankie's problems. He tells her that she couldn't clear his airway because of a procedure he did on himself while in Iraq.
Greenlee is talking to her publisher friend, who loves Kendall's book. She is very excited and gets ready for work. Aidan walks out and asks what she thinks she is doing - because she needs to go to the hospital. Greens says she knows she promised him but Aidan cuts her off because she didn't promise him - she promised Zach! He is very upset because Greens is listening to him and not paying any attention to what Aidan says. Greenlee explains that it wasn't Zach, it was how her health was affecting her. She kisses him and tells him she is sorry for not listening to him before. "You're up here now, with me and I care about you very much," Aidan says and offers to take her to the hospital. They arrive at the hospital and see Angie. They go over her symptoms and Angie suggests a new antibiotic treatment. Greens asks to see the other patient and Angie reluctantly agrees to take her in. Inside the room, Aidan recognizes Quinton/Frankie and talks to him. Greens doesn't remember him at all. Greenlee freaks out because of the trach tube in Frankie's throat; Angie says she may not need such extreme measures. She does want to admit Greens to the hospital, though, and asks more about the shelter and the woods where they were for all those weeks. Angie also asks for blood samples from Zach, Aidan and Kendall. Angie takes Greenlee out of the room and Aidan asks Frankie how bad this is. "Bad. Real bad," he whispers. Angie and Greenlee come back from her tests; Angie says she can't leave the hospital for the time being. Greens says she has to get to work because a publisher is stopping by. Angie says she can't go and leads them both to a private room for Greenlee. Aidan asks Greenlee what is going on at Fusion that Greenlee is so worried about. Aidan settles Greenlee into her room; as soon as he leaves, Greens sneaks out!
Angie returns to Frankie's bedside and asks him what he was doing in the woods at the farm. He is asleep and can't answer. Angie swears to him that she will find whatever is wrong and fix him. She leaves his room. "God, give me the wherewithal to find it," she says in the hall.
Zach is rolling craps at his casino when Ryan walks up and asks if Zach is in a world-changing mood. "You could match me dollar for dollar," Ryan says. Zach promises to do whatever Ryan needs. Ryan suggests a joint trip to Africa for the next three months. Zach turns down Ryan, saying that a trip to Africa isn't in the family's best interests. He tells Ryan to take a little more time before heading off to Africa. Ryan gets upset and tells Zach to stop telling him what to do. Zach tells Ryan that he understands wanting to make changes fast but says they just need to be a little slower before leaving the country. Ryan leaves. Aidan calls Zach and tells him that he needs to have his blood tested because Greenlee and Quinton/Frankie have similar problems.
Erica walks onto the New Beginnings set and learns that one of her guests is missing in action. Pam is off trying to find someone to fill the void. Just then Jack walks in. Erica asks him to join her on the show to fill the 20 minute segment. Jack doesn't want to do the show; he wants to talk about personal issues. "Great, we can talk about that, too," Erica says! Jack tells her no but Erica begs him and he finally gives in just as the lights go on and the audience begins to scream and clap for them. Erica introduces Jack to the guests and begins to flirt with him a little. He is obviously uncomfortable but gradually begins to relax. Jack talks about the drama surrounding Greenlee and Kendall; the two agree that even in the midst of everything they were surrounded by love. The segment ends and Jack tries to leave. Erica won't let him go, telling him that they have more time to fill. The lights come back up before Jack can leave so he sits back down. Erica keeps things going on camera and finally the segment is over. She asks Jack why he wanted to talk to her but he can't talk now because her show has made him late for an appointment. Erica asks him to dinner so they can chat. They agree on dinner plans and Erica walks out. Jack just watches her go.
Kendall and Babe go over a few layouts for the Campbell's fashion show and then Amanda hurries over with more busy work. Kendall handles it all in stride and then finds an open envelope on her desk. "It can't be," she says. She doesn't find what she was looking for (her book) in the envelope and begins frantically looking through the office. Babe and Amanda try to help but none of them find it. Ava walks in, upset because they are going to have more than one model for the fashion show. She also objects to the red theme color, supposedly because of Lily. Kendall and the others don't care and say there has to be red. Amanda turns on the television and they see Jack and Erica take the stage on New Beginnings. They watch a little but then Babe turns off the show so they can focus on work. But the conversation doesn't turn back to work, the girls start talking about ending relationships. Babe makes a smarmy comment about Amanda not being able to let go of her exes. Kendall agrees and so does Ava once she learns that Amanda got millions from Adam. Finally Kendall gives in and tells them to cut Amanda some slack because they've all done bad things. Babe brings up kids; she and Kendall talk about the joys of motherhood but Amanda and Ava can't imagine having kids. They bring up her relationship with Ryan, which Kendall says took a long time to heal. Amanda asks about Kendall's relationship with Aidan, which stops Kendall cold. Kendall orders everyone back to work. Just then a woman walks in - the publisher - and asks to speak to Kendall, who they want to be their newest romance author! Kendall says there is no author there and when the editor begins to read a segment she becomes very upset. She says it isn't a book and isn't meant to be read by anyone but her. The editor is surprised and wonders why Greenlee sent the manuscript in. Babe and Ava leave to finish up some work but Amanda stays behind with Kendall and the editor. Kendall starts talking about Greens invading her privacy. "Are you kidding?" Amanda asks. Kendall talks to the editor a little more and says she will make her decision later. The woman leaves as Greenlee hurries in. Kendall asks everyone to go so she can talk to Greens alone. Kendall tells her about the publisher's offer. "I could just smack you with it," she says!
