Hannah finishes her job for Adam. Zach demands answers from Kendall. Aidan and Kendall both struggle with guilt. Greenlee asks Joe to release her. Richie changes his insurance beneficiary!
JR arrives at Babe's condo and asks her if they can talk. She invites him in and asks about the dropped charges. JR tells her about Amanda, the DVD and his confessions. Babe can't believe the other woman but JR brushes it off, saying he blames Adam for all of it! Babe can't believe that Adam knew Amanda's secret and didn't say anything. They continue talking and soon turn to opening presents. Babe gives JR a "Get Out of Jail Free" picture with his face superimposed over a running man. Then hands him the real picture for the frame - a shot of little A with a sign reading "I love my daddy". JR is touched. He gives Babe a silver bracelet. She loves it. JR leaves several more presents - all for little A - under the tree. Under the tree he finds a gift for Richie! JR sarcastically offers to deliver it for her but Babe asks him not to. She swears that she isn't involved with Richie and that he isn't in her life. JR asks, if that is true, why she doesn’t just toss the gift. She won't answer him. JR plays the father card and insists that Babe stay away from Richie for little A's sake! He leaves. A while later little A and Babe are sitting down, reading a book. She tells the kiddo about JR's presents under the tree. Little A shows Babe a new picture he drew for JR. He tells Babe that he drew a picture of them all together at their own house.
At the Chandler manse, Adam calls Stuart and leaves a New Year's greeting. He asks Stuart to stop by the mansion sometime soon. Hannah walks in and hands Adam a folder. "Zach's head on a platter, just like you asked," she says. Hannah tells Adam that she followed Zach's wishes and sold off all of Chandler Enterprises - to herself! "And now they're yours," Hannah says and swears that Zach will never catch on to what she did. Hannah begins blabbering about Zach being too wrapped up in Kendall and his family to notice the moves she has been making. Adam asks Hannah to join him in his new businesses. He pours two drinks and they toast to the second-coming of Chandler Enterprises. Before she drinks, Hannah tosses her drink to the ground and turns down his offer! She walks out of the room. Adam stops her at the door and asks what she'll do next. Hannah doesn't have specific ideas but says she is done working. Adam brings up her past with Alexander but Hannah won't discuss that so Adam changes tactics and asks Hannah if she is upset that Zach will never know all that she sacrificed for him! When he keeps talking Hannah threatens Adam by telling him how good she is with a rifle. She walks out. Adam calls a few cohorts and sets up an emergency meeting of the Chandler board!
Hannah arrives at her Yacht Club room and undresses with a dreamy look on her face.
At the hospital Jack tells Greenlee that he wants to defend Kendall against the charges. Greens can't believe it. Jack leaves. A few minutes later Aidan walks in and Greenlee tells him the news. She slips up and comments that Aidan is with Kendall, which unsettles him. Greenlee corrects her mistake and says she only meant that he is friends with Kendall. She asks Aidan why Kendall is turning herself in, worrying that Kendall is making a bad decision. Aidan tells her he'll find out what is going on with Kendall and leaves. Joe arrives a while later to check on Greenlee. She asks when she can go home and Joe says it will be a while because of the problems with her system. Greens begs him to allow her to go home and Joe caves in. He gives her specific instructions to cut out all stress and not to work, saying she isn't in immediate danger, and says she could go home the next day. Joe tells Greenlee she has to come back for regular testing beginning Monday. She agrees to his terms for her hospital dismissal.
In the hall Joe asks a passing nurse to finish up some blood work on Greenlee. He is worried that there is more going on with her illness that he has discovered so far.
In the mental ward, Richie's prison psychiatrist arrives and Richie tells him he has chosen his date of death! They both sit down to chat. Richie says he will die within the next week but won't give the doctor a specific date. He asks the doctor to be honest and tell his real feelings. He calls Richie a sociopath and says his death will be a huge relief to anyone in Richie's life. Once he is done talking Richie tells him their deal is off - and Babe is now getting all of the insurance money! Angry, the doc threatens Richie but Richie doesn't bite. "I played you. Deal with it," Richie says. The doctor leaves. Richie places a call from one of the hospital phones and tells the person on the other line that it is time to take care of their doctor problem! JR arrives a few moments later. He warns Richie to stay away from Babe or else. Richie asks what JR has planned and JR tells him that if he doesn't stay away from Babe Richie just might die at an inopportune time! Richie pretends to be afraid and tells JR that he will stay far, far away from Babe. JR leaves.
Meanwhile at the Pine Valley jail, an officer shows Kendall into an interrogation room. Zach walks up, closes the door and asks why she confessed. He says she should have kept her mouth shut. Jack arrives and asks if he can represent her. Kendall accepts. Kendall reports to the front desk for processing. Aidan walks in. Zach stays with Jack and asks what the game plan is, telling Jack that he won't allow Kendall to go to prison. Aidan and Jack discuss Kendall's options. Jack isn't sure what will happen to Kendall but says she could face prison time. Seeing the difference in Aidan, Jack asks what has happened between he and Kendall that all of a sudden he isn't screaming down the rafters trying to have her imprisoned. Aidan plays dumb and tells Jack that he and Kendall forged a small friendship but insists that he loves Greenlee. Jack still has doubts and tells Aidan that Greenlee's happiness is his first priority.
After processing, Kendall and Zach return to their home. Angry with her, Zach remains aloof. Kendall begs him to talk to her. Zach brings up her promises - to God, to her boys and to him, saying she has put her own guilt ahead of her family. "I kept fighting," Zach says, "and for what? So I can hold your hand when they tell you how many years you're going to spend in prison?" Zach asks Kendall why she couldn't trust him to help her make things right. He reminds her that everyone has forgiven her and asks what is eating her up inside. Kendall tries to walk away but he won't let her. She cries that she is just trying to rectify all of the bad karma so that their future won't be in doubt. Zach holds her and kisses her. Kendall asks Zach to make her forget the things she has done! They make love.
Aidan returns to Greenlee's hospital room and updates her on Kendall. He joins her in the bed and they snuggle together. "My dreams are starting to come true," Greenlee says and lays her head on Aidan's chest.
