Is The End Near? Tuesday, December 18 2007

Greenlee and Zach are running out of air. Aidan gives up hope of finding Greens. JR has a memory flash. Jonathan postpones the wedding! Annie pays a visit to Richie.

At The Comeback Ava and Jonathan are discussing wedding plans - or the lack of them. Ava mentions that Lily has picked out several dates and has started plans but none of them seem quite right. Jonathan wonders if that means something - like Ava isn't ready for marriage! He asks if she would rather be with JR, which makes Ava mad. She brings up Lily, asking if she is just a replacement for her sister. Jonathan can't believe what she is saying. He tells Ava they should put their wedding on hold. She gets angry and accuses him of not loving her. Sadly, Jonathan tells her he loves her as much as she allows but obviously that isn't enough. He leaves the bar and Ava begins to cry.

In the bomb shelter Greenlee is having problems breathing because of the remaining snake venom. Zach tells her it is just panic but Greens doesn't believe him. "Your lungs are fine," he says and then tells her the truth - their air supply is running out and that is why she is having trouble breathing! Zach believes a snowstorm or something has come through the area, cutting off their air supply. Greenlee begins to freak out but Zach calms her down, telling her to breathe deeply and not talk. "I'm afraid," Zach says. He tells her about watching Alexander kill his mother and says that is why he can never be wrong and refuses to lose control of anything in his life. Greenlee tells Zach that he doesn't have to carry that load alone and Zach says he doesn't, because he has Kendall to help him along. They sit for a while longer and then Zach manages to squeeze some water from roots in the wall. The water revives Greens a bit. Cold air begins to seep into the shelter. Zach and Greenlee huddle under a blanket.

Aidan wakes at Sylvester's but can't find Kendall. He hurries outside to find her. Kendall, meanwhile, is wandering the woods without a jacket looking for Zach. She begs Zach to send her a sign so she can find him. She hears Aidan yelling for her and tries to hide from him but he sees her. He gives her his coat, telling her that they have to go back inside. Kendall refuses and starts running through the woods screaming Zach's name! Aidan follows her with his jacket and forces her to listen to him. Finally she gives in and says she'll go back to Sylvester's but only until the snow melts. They return and Aidan shows his true feelings. He believes they will not find Greenlee and Zach alive! Kendall tells him to stop it, swearing that they will find Zach and he will be alive!

Amanda arrives at the Chandler Mansion where she finds JR, who is not happy about being on house arrest. They argue about money and they argue about the past. Finally Amanda tells JR why she is really mad: because he didn't respect her! JR can't believe his ears and tells Amanda that he did - and does - respect her. She isn't sure what to believe. JR kisses her and asks her to let him show how much he respects her one last time before he is carted off to prison. He deepens the kiss and then pulls back. "Tell me every dirty thing you've done," JR says. He is remembering that night! JR repeats the words but Amanda pretends not to know what he is talking about. She gathers her things and hurries away, not listening when JR asks her to come back.

Meanwhile in the psych ward Janet tells Richie about Amanda's windfall. Realizing that she may be able to help him, he butters her up and plays knight to her queen. Annie arrives and sees them together. Janet leaves as Annie approaches and asks if Richie needs anything. When she doesn't become spooked by his remarks, Richie thinks of new ways to creep her out. He brings up their parents but that doesn't work either. Annie tells Richie that their mother committed suicide because she couldn't take the reality that her son was psychotic. This upsets Richie. They exchange barbs for a while and Annie asks Richie what kind of funeral he would prefer! Annie leaves and tells him she won't be back. Janet, who has been watching their exchange, returns to Richie and asks if he is okay. He puts on a show about needing to help his sister and then asks Janet if she can help him escape. "Oh, you can do that any time you want," Janet says.

Annie is walking down the hospital hall when Richie comes up behind her, grabs her and chokes her! Annie fights her way free, grabs a sharp knife and stabs him. "Good girl," he says and dies. Then, Richie grabs her from behind! Annie realizes it is just her imagination. Just then the hospital alarms begin to go off. Janet is causing a scene in the psych ward and Annie pokes her head in the door. She leaves. Annie doesn't notice that Richie has donned some hospital scrubs and is running from the hospital!
