Kendall breaks her deal with God; Adam makes a deal with Amanda. Krystal decides she has to move out of Tads. JR returns home - to the mansion!
In jail JR is still trying to remember anything from the night that Zach was hit by the car. Tad walks in and tells JR about suing for custody of Jenny! JR is stunned and angrily asks Tad if Krystal is behaving better or worse than Dixie did. Tad defends his actions. JR asks if Adam and Krystal really are back together but Tad doesn't know. JR tells Tad about Adam's bail promises and how he turned it down. Tad tells him he did the right thing but JR isn't so sure. Tad asks if JR wants to take Adam's offer because he knows he can stand up to his father - or because he desperately wants out of jail! JR doesn't answer but says he is going to call Olivia to begin the bail proceedings. Thinking Tad will be disappointed in his decision but Tad says he is very proud of JR! A guard comes around and takes JR to processing. Tad and JR leave the holding area.
Adam tells Barry that they need to find out the truth about Tad's daughter Kate without letting Tad know anything about it! Amanda arrives seconds after the phone call and demands her money. Adam brings up the box of things she left last spring and asks if her "proof" this time around is better than last time. She promises it is and then tells him there is a change in the payoff - she wants $5 million now! She plays the DVD but Adam points out all the ways the DVD could have been doctored. Amanda tells him about the DJ talking in the background about a one-night-only event. He still doesn't want to pay and then insults Janet. Amanda deletes the whole thing off of her computer! "Is this where I'm supposed to pretend that this is the only copy?" Adam asks. Amanda hands over the real DVD and tells him that price is $5 million. Adam offers to grab his checkbook but Amanda asks for a wire transfer and reminds him that she will be testifying on JR's behalf so Adam better not get any ideas about making her disappear. Adam turns to begin the transfer and Amanda asks for one more thing: JR's yacht! A few minutes later the deal is done and Amanda gives Adam the DVD. He points her to the door but Amanda stays behind until Adam turns over the deed to JR's yacht. After taking it from the safe, Adam signs it over to Amanda. She blows him a kiss and leaves. Moments later Olivia calls to tell Adam JR is on his way home. He makes plans for JR's return and then tells the empty room that he would have paid much more than $5 million for JR's freedom - and loyalty! JR arrives a while later and sets up some groundrules. He tells Adam that he isn't at the mansion to rekindle the father-son relationship; he only wants to figure out what happened the night of the accident. Without saying a word about what is on it, Adam hands JR the DVD and asks him to put it in the vault on the way to his old room!
At the Martin home Babe walks in to find Krystal incredibly upset. She tells Babe about the custody suit. Krystal can't believe it when Babe defends Tad. She tells Babe that everyone should trust her judgment when it comes to Adam! Babe points out that Adam has lied before and asks if she can say with 100% authority that Adam won't hurt Jenny at some point down the road. Krystal can't. Sitting with her mother, Babe asks Krystal if she is taking her anger with Adam out on Tad! Babe wonders what Adam said about the custody suit and when Krystal says she didn't tell him because she wasn't sure what Adam would do, Babe says Krystal obviously doesn't trust Adam any more than Tad does! When Krystal keeps talking about "her baby, her Jenny", Babe realizes that Krystal doesn't consider Tad - or Adam! - a father to the child! Babe tells Krystal that she has to realize that this time around there is a father to consider and that his feelings - Tad's feelings - have to be taken into consideration. Babe leaves. Krystal hears Jenny crying upstairs and decides it time she made some noise, too. Tad returns home a few minutes later and finds Krystal packing!
In the bomb shelter Greenlee is going through their supplies and realizes that things are beginning to run low. When Zach still won't talk to her she counts him in as another supply running low. When he still won't talk she orders him back to digging so at least they might get out of there alive. Neither notices that a snake has crawled in through the holes Zach is digging! He asks what they do have and Greenlee tells him most of the food left is inedible and the barrel of water they have smells like swamp water. He tries a sip and tells her they can't drink the water because it has gone bad. Greenlee dampens a cloth and begins to bathe herself with the water since she can't drink anything. Zach returns to digging. Greenlee sees how tired he is and tells him to take a break but Zach won't stop. She holds the light for Zach and tells him that they are down to their last battery. She sits down by the pile of sticks and sees something move! Zach tells her to calm down and stop imagining ghosts in the corners. Greenlee begins searching for the love letters, hoping that they will get her mind off the dire situation. She reaches in to the pile of sticks and the snake bites her!
At the hospital Kendall is talking to Spike about the surgery. She tells Spike that everyone is pulling for him and promises that Zach will be there soon, just like the rest of their family. Then Kendall tells Spike that she has to break her promise to make things right for Greenlee because that would mean leaving him alone. A nurse arrives to check on Spike's vitals and Kendall goes to the hall. Aidan is there and she asks for news but he doesn't know anything more. She tells Aidan, too, that she can't confess about what she did to Greenlee because of the boys. Aidan surprises Kendall by saying he never wanted her to tell the cops because that wouldn't change anything. Kendall calls Ryan to check in and then turns back to Aidan. He tells her that, promise to God or not, putting herself behind bars with a confession isn't what Greenlee would want. Kendall realizes that Aidan is very close to giving up on ever finding Zach or Greenlee alive.
