Ava has a solution for JR. Adam wonders how to help his son. Tad and Hannah become closer. Kendall dreams of Zach. Aidan digs for answers in the woods.
Tad is enjoying a little father-daughter time at home when Hannah arrives. Tad asks her to grab Jenny's bottle and returns to the sitting room. Hannah has no idea what he might want but follows him inside. Finally Tad offers her an apology for walking out on her after he learned that she was working with Adam and had slept with Alexander. Hannah forgives him and says it doesn't matter. They sit down together to talk. Hannah talks about work at Cambias but Tad asks how she, personally, is doing. Hannah is thrown by his caring. Tad tells Hannah she deserves a little happiness and points out that with Zach out of the picture she had a little reprieve from doing Adam's bidding. Tad puts Jenny to sleep and Hannah sticks around. They talk some more and Hannah tells him that Adam still has a hold on her because of the secrets she is carrying. She suggests telling Zach and Kendall the truth and hoping they can forgive her. She wonders if she'll get that chance now that Zach is missing and Tad tells her she will. Hannah isn't so sure. Tad talks about Dixie, pointing out that even though he didn't get to tell her everything he did get to say goodbye; he says she can have the same closure with Ethan because he is with Hannah the same way Dixie is with Tad. The conversation turns to Jenny, which leads to Adam. Tad swears that Adam won't hurt Jenny the way he has hurt so many other people. He tells Hannah to call him if Adam threatens her again. "And if he doesn't?" she asks. Tad tells her to call him any time.
Meanwhile, Krystal barges in to the Chandler manse, telling Adam that he needs to forget trying to bust JR out of jail. Adam surprises her by saying he isn't trying to bust JR out - he is trying to figure out why JR wouldn't allow Adam to alibi him. Krystal tells Adam that JR is simply trying to be a better man but Adam won't even consider that JR is guilty. He thinks JR has lost his mind to turn himself in for a crime he doesn't know he committed. "Everything was going so well, everything was coming together," Adam says, asking her how everything went wrong. Krystal sits with him and tells Adam that he can break the old patterns just like JR is trying to do. Adam doesn't think JR was doing so well and points out his failed business venture with Ava; Krystal defends JR. Adam breaks down and begins to repeat how sorry he is. Krystal gets angry when Adam keeps going on and on about how wrong JR has been. She tells him that JR did a good thing by trying to change his life. Adam isn't convinced and asks what he is supposed to do now. Krystal reminds Adam of nearly losing Babe to the Satin Slayer and tells him he just needs to enjoy the time he has with his kids by putting them first and supporting their interests. "Just love them," she says. Adam asks what he is supposed to do when he knows his kids are on the wrong track and becomes angry when Krystal tells him to butt out. Krystal is preparing to leave when Adam asks her to stay with him. Krystal says she will call Tad which really annoys Adam. She insists, telling Adam that if she is going to spend the night she is going to call Tad first. Adam gives in.
Krystal calls and when Tad answers asks about Jenny. She hedges a bit, saying it will be a while before she gets home. Tad is disappointed but tells her to stay out as long as she would like. When he hangs up, Tad turns to Hannah and joins her on the couch. He kisses her!
Ava arrives at the jail to see JR. "You're innocent and I'm here to prove it," she says and tells him to reach into her bra! He refuses. Ava reminds him of their talk at The Comeback and offers to be his friend. She starts to leave but JR calls her back. Ava ducks down and pulls two packets from her bra - it's liquor! "You've got to get drunk," she says! She tells him he needs to get drunk because that might open his memory so that he can remember exactly what happened that night. JR finally agrees to the plan and asks Ava to leave. She insists on staying behind. JR goes to a corner where the cameras can't see him. JR is desperate to drink the contents but instead dumps it all down the sink! JR refuses to take a drink because of little A. A guard comes in to the area and accuses Ava of bringing contraband items to JR! Ava flirts with the guard but he doesn't buy her explanations and leads her from the holding area.
At the Slater home Kendall is talking with Rachael about the boys and Zach. After a few moments Rachael returns to the boys; Kendall focuses on a picture of Zach, not wanting to go to their bed without him. She falls asleep on the couch and dreams that she is running through the woods calling for Zach. She can't find him and no one answers. Finally she looks up and sees Zach, bleeding, beside a fallen log. He calls out to her, telling her that he needs her over and over. Kendall can't reach him. Suddenly Greenlee appears with a gun and points it at Zach. Kendall begins to scream. She wakes, determined to find Zach.
Aidan is tromping around in the woods, hollering for Greenlee, when he notices a patch of ground that has been dug up very recently. Dropping to his knees Aidan begins to dig around a little bit but soon stops, telling himself that it is crazy to focus on one tiny little hole in the ground. He turns away but can't forget about the area and soon returns and begins to dig again. After a while he reaches a steel drum. Inside is a tin filled with drugs and the things a dealer would need to make crystal meth. Angry, he tosses the top of the barrel into the trees. Kendall walks up and sits beside him.
