Zach's Delusional! Wednesday, November 28 2007

Zach believes Greenlee is really Kendall and gives her an earful. Aidan questions Sylvester. Adam offers to give JR an alibi but he turns it down. Babe continues to defend Richie, even after Annie tells about the euthanasia plan!

Ryan walks in to the hospital, having heard about Richie's illness, and immediately annoys Babe by asking if it is really true!

Inside Richie's hospital room, Annie opens the vial. Richie dares her to give him the drug so he can die. Annie holds the vial out but won't let Richie take it; instead she dumps it down the sink and throws out the bottle. She turns on Richie and asks him how he could do this to her. Ryan and Babe come in, asking what happened. Annie tells them that Richie just asked her to kill him! Babe thinks this is just about trick. Annie tells Ryan about the vial and he digs it out of the trash. Babe asks Richie what is going on but he won't say anything. Joe walks in as they argue, telling them all to leave so Richie can get some rest. Ryan tells Joe what happened, hands Joe the vial and asks him to have the contents tested. Richie says he can't talk about it when Joe asks if Ryan is telling the truth. Joe asks everyone to leave but Richie asks if Babe can stay. Joe allows it. He asks Richie if he really asked Annie to kill him and says he has to call in a psychologist to talk to him because of hospital regulations. Babe offers to stay until the psychologist arrives. Joe leaves. Babe turns on Richie and calls him a coward! He tells her he is just in too much pain. Richie asks if he can hold her and Babe moves into his arms. Joe returns with the psychologist and Babe leaves.

In the hall, Ryan apologizes to Annie for not being there from the beginning. She tells him she almost did what Richie asked. She tells him that Joe said Richie was out with the search parties all night long. Ryan doesn't believe his motives are altruistic and tells Annie so; Babe overhears and asks why they can't just believe Richie did a good thing. Ryan brings up JR's apparent involvement and his renewed drinking. Babe is shocked. She calls the police and learns that JR is there now. Annie suggests that Babe go to him but she says she would rather stay with Richie because he has no one else.

Babe returns inside Richie's room as the doctors leave and tells Richie that she has to help JR with something. She tells Richie about JR's possible involvement in the hit-and-run and Richie pretends not to know anything. He tells her he'll be fine and to go. When she is gone, he remembers pulling the picture of them from the glove compartment and then hitting Zach, putting him in the car and pushing him out!

Joe brings Richie's test results to Ryan and Annie, telling them that Richie may not survive the night! He promises the doctors will do whatever they can. Annie turns back to Richie's room and watches him sleep. "I want to want to go in there and tell Richie it's going to be okay," she says as Ryan holds her.

Adam watches from outside a bar as JR takes another drink. He walks up to JR, surprising him. Adam brings up the issues with the cops and offers to help JR out of the mess. JR is shaking from the booze and from worrying about what could happen if they find Zach dead. Adam orders coffee for them as JR begins to confess what he believes must have happened. "I was drunk, I blacked out but it could have gone down like Derek said," JR says. Adam promises to make the problems disappear but JR is positive that he will wind up in prison. Adam comes up with an alibi - that JR was at the Chandler mansion the whole night. JR says it won't work and tells Adam that he can handle things on his own. He desperately asks Adam if he believes JR is innocent. Adam says he doesn't care one way or the other! He says it is time they go to Derek with their newly-made alibi. JR tells Adam okay!

JR and Adam arrive at the PVPD and Derek takes them into an interrogation room. Adam pipes up that JR was with him the entire night in question. Derek asks JR about the car and Adam says it must have been stolen. Focusing on JR, Derek asks him if what Adam is saying is true. JR admits that he doesn't know where he was but says he does remember being at The Comeback at some point. He tells Derek to ask Ava because she saw him there. Adam can't believe what he is hearing. Derek places JR under arrest!

In the woods, Aidan happens upon an old farmhouse. The scary guy who told Richie to get lost is inside. Aidan shows him a picture of Greenlee but the man says he hasn't seen anyone and slams the peephole. Aidan knocks on the door again and the man orders him off the property. Aidan kicks in the door! The man points a rifle at him and tells him to get lost! Aidan backs out of the house. After a while, the man begins to turn off the lights. Aidan sneaks back in, overpowers the man and takes the gun! He asks the man what has been going on and he admits that he ran into a man in the fields. He describes Richie and tells Aidan that he told him to get lost. The man introduces himself (his name is Sylvester) and tells Aidan that the farmhouse belonged to his father. Aidan locks Sylvester in a closet while he searches the house. When he doesn't find anything, Aidan releases Sylvester and leaves the house. "Don't come back," Sylvester yells. When Aidan is gone, Sylvester reaches into a box and pulls out a container with a nuclear label on it!

Greenlee checks Zach's temperature in the bomb shelter and finds he is burning up. She begs him to wake up and yell at her so she won't be alone. Using a damp cloth to cool him, Greenlee is surprised when Zach wakes. He is delirious and asks about the light shining at him. Greenlee tells him to stay away from the light, not realizing that he is re-living the crash. She gets him to focus on her for a bit. "Where's Kendall?" Zach asks, believing that Greenlee has done something to Kendall! Greenlee tells Zach that she doesn't know where Kendall is and reminds him that she is the one who has been keeping him alive in the bomb shelter. Smiling at her, Zach loses himself in another delusion - he thinks Greenlee is Kendall and tells her that he loves her! Greenlee catches on that Zach believes he is talking to Kendall and goes along with the delusion. Zach pledges his love to Kendall and apologizes for not taking better care of her. Greenlee, still pretending to be Kendall, says she loves him too! Zach passes out again. Greenlee prays that Aidan will find her. Zach comes to, still delirious, talking about going home to Kendall and the boys. Greenlee cleans his head wound again. Since he is out of it, Greenlee asks a few pointed questions about Greenlee - wondering if he wants to drop the feud. Zach says they've already done everything but he'll do it again if he has to!

Meanwhile in the woods, Aidan is continuing his search for Greenlee in the dark.
