Tom Brennan contacts Ryan; Richie intercepts an email to Ryan. Kendall and Zach want to make up but miss the chance. Lily is stood up. Colby makes a big decision.
Annie and Ryan are enjoying a little child-free time. Ryan wants to make love and begins to seduce Annie! Before they get very far, Ryan gets a call from Tom Brennan - the guy who saw Richie murder the kid at the camp! Ryan mentions his name, which gets Annie excited. Ryan asks if they can meet him sometime. Tom hesitates, worried that Ryan might be in on something with Richie. Ryan swears he only wants to put Richie away to protect Annie, Richie's sister. Tom gets scared and hangs up! Ryan calls the security details and asks them to trace the call. They can't. He asks them to start up an immediate trace in case Tom calls back. A moment later, Tom calls! Ryan tells Tom that Annie put Richie in prison and that they want him to return to prison now. "I know some things," Tom says but he is still afraid to help Ryan. Ryan asks him to send an email; Tom warns Ryan that Richie will kill them all and then hangs up. Annie can't believe Tommy is still so frightened by Richie; she wants to move forward and see Tommy in person. Ryan wants the same thing but doesn't know how to proceed since they don't know where Tommy is. Ryan tells Annie that Tom has to call back.
Richie is helping Babe with some cleaning outside the Carey condo. He puts her sweater around her shoulders and tries to get close to her. Babe pulls away; Richie says he understands. He sees sadness in her eyes and tells her not to treat him as if he is already dead. They sit down with hot chocolate and talk; Richie makes a flip comment about dying, which annoys Babe. Before she says anything, he kisses her! Babe pulls away again and Richie starts in about his family, his disease, and his baggage. Babe tells him she isn't staying away from him because of the past or because he is sick; she says she just isn't ready for a relationship. She tells him she slept with JR a couple of days ago. Richie wonders if they are bridging their differences but Babe assures him they weren't. They kiss again. Things don't get very far before Richie gets a message - it's an email message from the Lavery corporate account! Babe asks what is wrong but Richie is focused on the message and doesn't hear her. He reads the message from Tom, which tells about Richie murdering the kid at camp. He becomes very angry but hides it from Babe and hurries away.
Zach is at BJ's. He calls Josh but there is no update on Greenlee or Aidan. Lily walks in and joins Zach. She tells him about her date when he compliments her outfit. "Hopefully Richard will be my new boyfriend," she says! Zach and Lily head to a table, where she tells Zach about her friend - who likes numbers, doesn't like noise and doesn't like to be touched. Lily thinks they are the perfect couple! He says a coffee dates sounds like a great first step. Lily begins to wonder if she and Richard have the "Golden Ratio" - like he and Kendall have! Zach flashes back to their argument and Lily picks up on his mood swing. He talks in generalizations about the argument. Lily pulls out a picture of a home she thought would be perfect for Ava and Jonathan when they get married; Ava didn't like it but Lily still does. She calls the home a safe haven and that gives Zach an idea! Zach pulls up the real estate listing to check out all the details for the home. He leaves to pick up Kendall and take her to the house. Lily waits around for Richard to arrive but he never does.
Kendall tells Erica about her fight with Zach, upset that they are now on opposing sides of their problems. Erica asks where Zach is but Kendall doesn't know and says she doesn't care either! Erica tells Kendall not to give up on Zach and says she needs to keep her expectations on a normal level. "Zach is a good man," Erica says. Kendall agrees but isn't sure they can get past the argument. Erica tells Kendall not to make the same mistakes she has done and to take into consideration that everything Zach has done - past and present - has been done because he loves her. Kendall decides she needs to call Zach and apologize. Zach doesn't answer (his phone is in the car) and his voicemail doesn't pick up either, which worries Kendall. She thinks Zach is screening his calls! Erica convinces Kendall she needs to eat something and they head for the cafeteria. Seconds later, Zach arrives and goes to see the boys. He asks one of the guards where Kendall is and then goes to find her. Kendall and Erica return, still talking about Zach. A nurse comes up and tells Kendall that Zach has been looking for her but he is gone. More upset than ever, Kendall worries that Zach will think she is horrible for leaving the boys for a few minutes.
Driving to the house, Zach begins to think that the new house - on Paradise Lane - is exactly what Kendall needs!
Adam makes his way into Tad's home - with flowers! - saying he wants to see Krystal. She says it may be a bad time. Tad gets between them and pushes Adam right back out the door! Refusing to go, Adam begins pounding on the door until Tad opens up. Annoyed, Adam tells Tad they want the same thing: Krystal's happiness! Krystal interrupts and tells them both to stop trying to run her life. They guys continue arguing. Adam finally tells Tad that they have to make this work because he and Krystal want to be together! Krystal asks Tad to try to come to terms with Adam. Adam steps in and suggests that Jenny come live at his home part-time - with Krystal! Tad is shocked. Colby walks in and immediately picks up on the tension. She asks Adam to come outside so they can talk. Adam tells Colby she doesn't have to choose between him and Tad, saying he and Krystal are trying to move forward. Colby isn't sure what to think, especially when Adam tells her Tad is the one making her choose!
Back inside, Tad and Krystal argue about whether or not she should go back to Adam. Tad says he'll never agree to Adam having any kind of role in Jenny's life - and if Krystal wants Adam back, he'll keep Jenny away from her, too! Krystal can't believe it. Tad calms down and reminds Krystal that Adam is horrible to his own children and he won't risk Jenny's safety or happiness on Adam. Colby and Adam return and she asks if they can all just get along. Tad says there is too much water under the bridge; Krystal pipes up that Adam is going too far, too fast. Adam asks Colby is she'll come home. She looks to Tad, who says it is her decision and then turns back to Adam - and says she is staying with Krystal and Tad! Adam leaves. Upset, Colby runs upstairs.
