The Plot Against Greenlee

Wednesday, November 07 2007
Ryan confronts Greens; Kendall feels badly but Zach won't let her make things right. Aidan comes up with a plan but will Greenlee follow through?

Aidan is worried.

Aidan runs into Jack in the police department. Jack motions him into one of the interrogation rooms and then goes inside. Aidan asks Jack to stall things until he can prove Greenlee is innocent. Jack doesn't want to leave Greenlee in jail any longer than necessary; Aidan tells him he saw Kendall breaking in to Greenlee's, reminds him of the phone calls and then talks about the chloroform. He believes it will be easy to prove Greens' innocence. Jack tells Aidan that they have a bad judge and Greenlee might not be found innocent and may not even make bail. Aidan can't believe it. He decides to go off on his own to investigate the matter; Jack asks him to be extra-careful so that no evidence can be thrown out at a hearing or trial. Jack tells Aidan that the DA has offered a deal - three to six years in prison for Greenlee. He turned down the deal but he is worried that Greenlee may be tried and found guilty and could spend 10 years or longer in prison! Jack is worried that Greenlee might be convicted, not because of Kendall's plans, but because of her original kidnapping attempt. Aidan promises Jack that he will free Greenlee.

Ryan doesn't believe Greens!

Ryan arrives at the police department and goes to see Greens. She swears to him that she is innocent but Ryan doesn't believe her. Greenlee tells him that Kendall set the whole thing up and tells him her side of the story. Ryan still doesn't believe her. Greenlee tells him about Kendall playing the friendship card, then the family card. "And then they yanked it all back. Now I'm as good as dead," she says. Greenlee goes on about her secret meetings with Kendall and the things they talked about. Ryan still doesn't believe her and Greenlee blurts out Zach's plans for her. Ryan is stunned. She tells him about the faked receipts and the folder that JR gave her, and then tells him that giving over her Fusion shares would have given her back the embryos. Ryan is beginning to believe her, which makes him mad. He throws out all of Greenlee's past crimes. He says he thinks there is a kernel of truth, but he still thinks she tried to take Spike! Ryan leaves the holding area. A while later Aidan walks in. He kisses Greens through the bars and tells her that she needs to plead guilty to the charges! Greenlee can't believe what she is hearing. Aidan asks her to trust him. "Okay," she says.

Zach wants Kendall to remain mum!

At the Slater home, Kendall is feeling guilty about what she did to Greenlee. Zach walks in and says he didn't mean for any of this to happen. He only wanted Greenlee to leave town. Kendall asks Zach for details and learns about JR's involvement in the plot. Kendall has a hard time with that one. She turns the conversation back to what she did, shocked that she was so crazy about protecting Spike that she put Greenlee in jail. When Zach tells Kendall that Greenlee turned down the embryos and he believes she really is beginning to move on, Kendall says there is no way. She believes Greenlee is still stuck in the past. Zach insists and tells her what JR said Greenlee did; she realizes that she was the one stuck in the past, not Greenlee. Kendall asks how much Greenlee might know, mostly because she is worried about Greenlee. This makes Zach angry. He reminds her of all the bad things Greenlee has done and insists that he did what he did to protect Kendall and Spike. Kendall decides she has to go to Greenlee to apologize but Zach won't let her. He insists that she needs to stick it out. Ryan walks in and listens to them. "What did you do?" he asks.

Annie is done!

Annie sets up a meeting with Richie at the boathouse. Before he can react, she slugs him! Annie tells him that he can't die soon enough for her! Richie blames Ryan for what happened on the plane, telling Annie that Ryan pushed him into knocking out the pilot. They argue and Richie tells her that he doesn't want to see her die. Annie doesn't believe him; she thinks he is just trying another type of manipulation. Annie believes Richie doesn't really want to kill her, he wants to torture her by making her watch him die. She says his death won't bother her one way or another. Annoyed at her, Richie tells her that their parents really did always love him better - because Annie has always been a cold woman! Annie refuses to listen to him and leaves the boathouse. "I'm not done with you," Richie says when she is gone.

OK, fellow AMC viewers...tell me this, one day the writers want us to hate Greenlee, the next (or almost the next) they want us to feel SO sorry for her. Make up your minds! I'm still on the 'don't like' Greenlee side of the fence. Just last week she wanted to have Ryan's child regardless of whether he might want that or or of any reasonable thought as to what that would do to all the other players in the scenario. Yes, being set up is not a good thing and Kendall went too far, but she is a crumb short of a whole cookie from all she's gone through. From a story line prospective Greenlee's much more interesting as a 'bad girl'.

I am so glan Jackson actually admitted how hypocrital he and Aidan by bringing up the "actual" kidnapping for which Greens completely dodge the bullet. I doubt anyone in RL would be content with some tears shed and count that as enough punishment. Heck greenlee now has the "love" of her life - that's so the opposite of total suffering.

I have to say that I mad at Kendall for somehow begning to defend greenlee! She put Greens in JAIL but somehow Zach crossed the line with the embyro plot.

Zach totally say this coming Kendall getting to a point of forgiving Greens. This is his biggest fear come true. Because ultimate the Green/Kendall relationship is just bound to lead to more heartache. Just lasts week Greens was about to create a mine Ryan sans Ryans approval. how much more complicated the family dynamics would be then.

I cannot understand why Annie & Richies Father does not come forward and tell everyone the truth about Annie & Richie and their past. It just might be that Annie is the nut case and not Richie. It that were the case I wonder what Ryan would do if he were to find out it is all Annie and not Richie who is the liar.

I think Greenlee needs a break. I mean she didn't actually go threw with the kidnapping anyway. She realized that it was the wrong thing to do and she was bringing Spike back when the accident happened. I think that's what counts. And anyway Kendal isn't as innocent as they make her out to be, true she was willing to give Greenlee a chid and Greenlee walked away from it, but it's because of Zach that it didn't go threw. He is always the source of their disagreements. And about Ryan, he is the reason why all this happened in the first place. If he hadn't have had a visectimine, Greenlee would still have had her chance of having her child. Now everyone looks at Greenlee as if she is the bad one, and it isn't so. So in the end, I think Zach and Kendall need to pay for setting up Greenlee and I am glad that Ryan over heard them talking about it.

i think we need new writers or new s/l, this junk is getting old. really making guiding light look good.....yuk.. come on amc, give us something more than these boring, predictable s/l. as dedicated viewers we deserve it.

I think that when Greenlee gets out of jail, she should leave pinevalley for good! I don't care for the new Babe. I liked the original one. They need to have Adam & Krystal get back together again. I wanna see that baby Jenny is really Adam's daughter and not Tads. We need to see some good things happen in All My Children for a change!

Now Kendall is having second thoughts !!?? It's too late for that !! You wanted Greenlee out of the way and you got your wish. So what's the problem now!!??

I am so over Ryan & his self-righteous attitude.
Is it just me?
