Derek Thinks Jonathan Intended to Kill Terry Friday, September 15 2006

Derek confronts Jonathan. Kendall goes to visit Zach in jail. Lily's tests come back. Adam realizes Colby is missing after the yacht accident. Jack promises to be a better father to Lily.

The police station is abuzz with activity while Annie and Jonathan wait to talk with Police. Jamal assures Annie a lawyer is on the way. A Law Enforcement officer starts questioning Annie. She explains that no officer ever did enough to stop Terry.

Derek enters his office telling Jonathan he understands why he had to kill McDermott – to save Lily! He treats Jonathan like a hero and Jonathan agrees. But Derek asks if Lily really willingly met him out in the woods? Jonathan realizes Derek might not think he's innocent and stops talking. Derek continues, acting like Jonathan went crazy seeing Terry and Lily half naked. Jonathan asks to call the hospital but Derek tells him he already did that and there's no new news. He tries to explain all the times Terry hurt children but Derek states "allegedly" hurt children. Jonathan explains that Terry made Lily believe he was someone else who had a mental disorder but Derek smiles reminding Jonathan that he did the very same thing.

Jonathan explains that he wasn't jealous of Terry, he was protecting Lily from getting raped by a child molester. He screams asking what's wrong with Derek? Derek plays the "bad guy" trying to understand and wonders why he booked a flight and purchased a gun 3 days prior to killing Terry? Livia, Ryan and Kendall walk in putting a stop to any further questioning and tells Jonathan to shut up. Derek replies she should go visit her husband down in jail! Kendall is surprised and didn't realize he was arrested.

Ryan replies that he won't press charges against Annie so she's free to go but Derek reminds Ryan that there's an outstanding warrant against Annie in New York. Derek tells Annie that her child will be placed in foster care until she can make arrangements to care for her again. Annie scoffs at Derek replying that he wouldn't protect Emma from Terry but he's going to arrest her?

She approaches Zach and he reaches out for her, touching her arm. She begs him for answers wondering why he went to Dixie when she begged him to stay at home with her and Spike. Zach replies telling Kendall he's ready to tell her anything she wants to know. She cries explaining that she's asked over and over repeatedly and wonders what's going to change now as she walks out the jail.

Myrtle comes to visit Zach in jail. Zach asks why she's hanging around the jail as an officer brings in coffee and doughnuts. Myrtle whispers that the officer has a crush on her and Zach agrees, stating she truly is an amazing woman. She asks Zach to stop playing games and tell her what's really going on. He thanks her for the coffee and doughnuts but he has nothing further to say. She tries to explain that his stint in jail could turn into 20 or 30 years. Myrtle calls him hopeless and reminds him that he lost Maria long ago and will now lose another woman he loves. Zach asks if he told her now that he didn't kill Madden, would she believe him? Myrtle replies that she certainly would but Zach interrupts stating Kendall doesn't and Tad's lying. Myrtle explains that his pride is far too much for him because he has everything a man would ever want and need. She kisses him goodbye and heads out.

The hospital is frantic with accident victims from the yacht crash all over the ER. Adam is frantically searching for Colby as Krystal tries to calm him down. At that moment, a drunk Sean rolls in and Adam tries to smack him but Krystal holds him back.

Julia talks with Lily, explaining that she needs to give her a needle as Erica and Jack watch on in torment. Lily glances at Jack for a brief moment before falling asleep. Erica tells Jack to go see if they found Sean as she watches over Lily. Erica covers up Lily trying to comfort her by telling Lily she's brought some of her favorite things from home. She wishes she could protect her forever as Jeff listens in on her. Erica starts brushing her hair talking about Lily's mother and how much she's loved.

Jack walks out and finds his very drunk nephew telling him when he sobers up, he'll be so sorry. But Sean is far too drunk and is enjoying all the hostility around him yelling that this was the best party ever!

Adam demands that Sean's blood alcohol level is put on the record immediately. Sean laughs telling them all that Colby was piloting the boat. Sidney is brought in yelling that Colby will pay for this. Erica runs out of Lily's room with the news that Lily wasn't raped and she reminds Jack that he has Jonathan to thank for because he saved her. Jack ignores her comment and walks to Lily's bed. He apologizes for not protecting her and assures Lily that Terry is gone and could never hurt her again. Jack continues, explaining he was so wrong thinking he knew what was best for her and touches her hand gently.

Outside, the EMT's call off the search for more injury victims explaining they've found everyone. Overhearing him, Adam runs up explaining that his daughter wasn't found and begs for help!

Ryan awakes to Kendall feeding Spike. He's happy to see the two of them wondering what the police said? Kendall replies that he can't protect Annie from this and Jamal took her to the police station. She also gives him some good news – that Terry is dead and Jonathan shot him. Ryan starts to get dressed to leave but Kendall tries to stop him. He insists it's just a scratch but Kendall calls for her nanny to take Spike home so he won't hear what she's about to say to his father. She demands for him to stay but gives up fighting him and starts to help him dress. In a great deal of pain, Ryan asks what's going on? Kendall tells him that she doesn't want this "hero" thing to rub off on Spike. Moments later, they head to the Police Station.

Zach throws a chair at Derek as another officer plugs him with a stun gun. Kendall yells at Dixie asking what she did to him?!
