Annie can't identify the dead man in the morgue; Derek investigates and finds he was an inmate with Richie! Kendall and Zach talk about cochlear implants. Aidan confides his fears about Annie to Greenlee. Krystal and Adam argue; Tad professes his love.
Krystal walks in, stunned, when Tad professes his love for her to Adam. Adam immediately begins asking for a wedding date and even offers to walk Krystal down the aisle! Tad grabs one arm and Adam grabs the other and they begin fighting over her! Krystal pulls herself away and tells both of them to back off. Adam and Tad start squabbling again and Krystal interrupts them, asking Tad why he is really there. He turns the question around on her. Neither answers why they have come to see Adam. Adam makes a smart comment about them not having make-up sex in the mansion. Tad tries to pull Krystal away but she won't go so he kisses her, passionately, and then leaves. Adam and Krystal begin bickering over whether she wants him back (she says no, he says yes!). Krystal pushes Adam's buttons about her "relationship" with Tad but he does a good job of pretending not to care. She changes her tact and tells Adam to watch out. "History is about to repeat itself," she says and begins reaming him out about buying Colby off. She picks up a ring box from the mantle, believing that Adam is buying Colby extravagant gifts. She opens the box and finds her wedding present - the one she sold! - inside. She thinks it is a sign that Adam might want her back but Adam says he just wanted it back so he could bury the ring and his memories of their marriage! They argue about which of them is to blame for the wedding. "Damn that moonshine," Adam says, getting really close to Krystal. Krystal is the first to break away and puts some space between them. Adam offers the gift to her, saying he doesn't want any more reminders. She takes it, saying she is going to sell it again. Grabbing her things, Krystal leaves the mansion. Adam follows but stops at the door and watches her walk away.
Tad meets Joe at The Comeback and tells him about the morning with Krystal and Adam. "You have a house full of people and you're still lonely," Joe says. The two men argue about Tad's propensity for dating and all the women in his past. Joe points out that Tad is a different person when he is in love and asks about Krystal. Tad admits that he only wants to keep Krystal away from Adam and Tad being "in love" with her is the perfect way to do that. Joe wonders if Krystal has real feelings for Tad but Tad is certain that she doesn't. Besides, he doesn't want to keep saving people who don't want to be saved. Tad pays their bill and heads for home to see Jenny.
Kendall and Jason begin talking about Spike. Zach joins them. Jason tells her that she doesn't understand about being deaf! He tells both adults that because of the cochlear implants he doesn't feel different from any of his friends. Jason's mom arrives to take him to a movie. Before leaving, Jason offers to be "on-call" for them if Spike ever needs a friend. Kendall and Zach leave to have lunch at The Comeback, still talking about Jason. She can't reconcile hearing-Spike with non-hearing-Spike. Zach begins talking about how Spike changed his life and reminds Kendall that the child's personality and his sweet spirit won't change simply because he can't hear. Then he reminds Kendall that she thought Jason was "normal" until Erica announced he was deaf. "Everything you want for Spike he can have," Zach says. Kendall still feels like implants are like giving up on Spike though. She also worries that giving Spike implants will give Greenlee the go-ahead to try to worm her way back into their lives. Zach reminds Kendall that they are the ones who decide when and if Greens will become part of their lives again. Kendall sees Joe, makes a beeline for him and asks for information on the implants!
Ryan catches Annie before she can fall to the floor and the medical examiner covers the body. "That isn't my brother," Annie says! Derek follows them into the hall, asking if she is positive that the man inside isn't Richie. Annie is positive. Derek goes to answer a call. Annie begins wondering how Richie found someone who looked so much like him and worrying that he is closer than they both realize. Ryan tries to calm Annie; Derek returns and tells them the spider tattoo was only a few days old! They also know his name - Eddie Johnson! And he was jailed only three cells away from Richie in Illinois! Ryan and Annie return home. He keeps trying to calm her about Richie, assuring her that she is safe from him but Annie doesn't believe him. Ryan asks her to start carrying a gun! Annie refuses, reminding Ryan about shooting him by accident. He begins checking all the doors and windows, assures Annie that the condo is locked up and his guards are downstairs and leaves the house to do some more research on Richie. Once she is alone, Annie opens every door and every window and then lies down on the sofa with a knife in her hand, singing "Ring Around The Rosie"!
Aidan and Greenlee are walking on the beach. She's distracted by the beautiful day and her gorgeous "date" but Aidan is more distracted by memories of the mugging. He tells Greenlee to knock him out! Greenlee can't believe what he is asking and refuses. Aidan has her go back through the night and what she saw; Greenlee is more interested in flirting with him, though. Finally she agrees to get serious and tells him everything she remembers, which isn't much. Aidan is frustrated. He convinces Greens to reenact the crime and is surprised that she can lift the rock easily. He asks her to go to the rocks and try again and Greenlee catches on that Aidan thinks Annie may have attacked him! He tells Greens everything he knows about Annie and Richie and the locket. Greenlee can't believe what she is hearing. Greens asks him about the locket, sad that it isn't part of an undying love story. Aidan plays with her hair and Greenlee caresses his face, telling him that they both deserve a little lightness in their lives. He kisses her hand and then takes her in his arms and kisses her lips. They are making out on the beach when Ryan walks up!
