Ava has appendicitis. Annie has more memory flashes. Aidan comes to Greenlee's rescue. Jack and Erica begin their new show.
Babe is livid with Ava's latest stunt and just hopes the girl isn't pregnant! She makes a sarcastic comment about tossing Ava out the window, which brings back more of her memories. She keeps it together for a second but Babe realizes she is freaking out about something. Babe tells Annie that she needs to go home and take care of things there because she is no good to Fusion in the shape she is in. Annie agrees to a couple of days but Babe says she may need more time. She invites Annie to come to The Comeback to cool off a little before she goes home. Annie reluctantly agrees. As she turns off the lights, she has another memory flash - someone drops the pocketwatch, scaring her. Babe calls out to her and Annie leaves the office.
Ava is nearly falling over from the pain. JR thinks she's just putting on a show and turns to go. She orders him to stick around - or she'll tell everyone that she is pregnant and the baby is his! JR carries her in to the hospital, moaning and groaning and screaming in pain. Julia meets them and asks Ava to explain the pains. She leaves to set up a room as Dr. Joe arrives. Ava describes the pain, swearing she isn't on any kind of drugs. JR throws out the pregnancy possibility. Joe wheels her off to another room as JR realizes that Ava isn't faking the symptoms. After examining her Joe says Ava isn't pregnant - she has appendicitis and needs an operation right now. She doesn't want an operation and starts to freak out. JR listens from the door and tells Ava to stop fighting the doctors! She won't back off. Joe leads Julia out so they can conference, leaving JR to reason with Ava. He actually gets through to her, saying she'll die if she doesn't have the surgery. He brings up his plans for her and all the money involved, making her forget about the pain for a bit. Another screaming pain doubles her over but Ava still won't agree to surgery. Lily walks in, upset. Ava tries to convince her sister than things aren't that bad. Julia pulls JR out of the room as Lily begins running down what could happen to Ava without surgery. Ava explains that when she was a kid she had a bad fall and had to go to the hospital for stitches. Her mother basically dropped her off and left her with the nurses - alone! "I won't leave you with strangers," Lily says and holds Ava's hand. Another screaming pain comes and Ava loses consciousness. Joe and Julia come in, followed by JR, as Lily freaks out.
Aidan orders tea from Krystal at The Comeback. He is about to toast when Greenlee comes in and asks if she can join him. Aidan turns and she slaps him! She thinks Ryan hired her to spy on her - and sleep with her! Aidan can't follow her train of thought at first but gets angry when he finally catches on. He gets through to her, saying he wouldn't sleep with anyone for money. They sit down and talk like rational adults. Greenlee tells him about Spike's allergic reaction, blaming herself just like Ryan has been doing. He points out that Greenlee didn't shove the vitamins down Spike's throat. Wes delivers a drink that Greenlee didn't order. Angry, Aidan confronts the guy who sent it - one of Ryan's guys! - and tells him to back off! He escorts the guy out, angering Krystal until he explains that the guy wasn't a customer at all. Krystal decides she doesn't want to know any more and walks away. Wes apologizes for falling for the guy and leaves. Greens thanks Aidan and they return to their table. She asks him not to hurt anyone on her behalf and he promises no one will get hurt but he'll keep watching out for her. They begin talking about the treasure that Greens picked up for Aidan on the beach. Aidan asks Greenlee to a movie. They make another bet and all Greenlee can think about is getting Aidan into bed again; she doesn't realize it but he is thinking along the same lines! Aidan leaves to follow up on the locket while Greenlee heads off to find them something nice to eat.
Babe and Annie arrive and go straight to the bar. Krystal gets their drinks and points out Greenlee with Aidan. Babe and Annie are shocked that they seem to be a pair. Annie sees the trinket that Aidan is waving around. She makes up an excuse about picking up Emma and leaves. She watches Aidan from outside, wondering how he got the locket that she threw out! Wes joins Babe at the bar. Babe asks his advice on getting Annie to open up about her fears. Wes suggests booze but Babe doesn't think that will work.
Reminding Pam that she is on shaky ground, Erica tells Pam that they need to get to work. Jack walks in. Pam, eating humble pie, tells them what is on the agenda and then leaves. Annoyed, Erica throws Greenlee's Dr. Hilliard in his face, trying to start a fight. Jack can't believe what he is hearing. Pam returns with some story ideas; Jack and Erica toss out their own. The show gets started and the subject of the day is Cold Feet! The guests arrive and immediately start bickering about their relationship. Erica, of course, identifies with the woman while Jack identifies with the guy; both surprise the guests, though, by advising them both that they need to compromise to make their relationship work. Pam interrupts as Jack and Erica really get going in their agreement. "America just fell asleep!" she tells them. Jack wonders if things were really that bad but Erica thinks things are just fine as they are. She gets a call and leaves. Erica tells Jack that he was too sweet, blaming him! They all sit down again and Jack begins to argue with Erica. Pam rolls tape on the show as the bickering really gets going between Jack and Erica. Neither guest has any idea how to respond to their fighting. Pam calls for a cut; Jack and Erica are shocked that she taped their fight! Pam couldn't be more happy and leaves to call the network execs. Erica tells Jack she can't fight with him like this any longer! "I just want to stop the constant bickering," she says, asking how they can just be people. Jack suggests they stick with the show because they can fight all they want on-camera and by the time the shows are over, they won't have any anger issues with each other. Erica likes the idea! He kisses her.
Greens is setting up their beach picnic a while later, exciting about the evening ahead. Aidan walks up, bends to pick something up and a figure pounds him over the head with a rock! When he is unconscious, the man takes the locket!
