Greenlee is getting ready for another midnight shift at Fusion, hoping to avoid the other girls. But instead of getting work done, she wonders how much longer she can go on like this. Erica walks in, angry to see her playing with the stuffed tiger. Greenlee has no idea what Erica is talking about until she spells it out - she believes the tiger is one of Ian's toys! Greenlee sets her straight but Erica doesn't believe her. She tells Greens that she feels sorry for her - she had all the breaks but has ruined everything. Greenlee asks her to leave but Erica just keeps pushing and brings up Jack and how he must feel about her latest failures. Greenlee finally begins to fight back - bringing up all of Erica's exes, including her failures with Jack! "You just leave my family alone," Erica says angrily. Greenlee walks away.

Jack meets Aidan at the yacht club and gets right to the point - he wants to know about Aidan and Greenlee's relationship. Anxious about what Jack really wants to know, Aidan sticks to the incident on the beach. Jack gets right to his point, thanking Aidan for befriending Greenlee. Aidan has a few questions of his own but Jack doesn't have many answers because he's only known Greens for a couple of years. "She has a good heart but what she needs is a good friend," Jack says. Greenlee walks in, surprised to see them together. Jack is called away. It's Erica, she asks him to join her at Fusion and then hangs up. He leaves Greens and Aidan alone. She asks what the meeting was about, nervous at what Aidan may have told him. He teases her that Jack now knows everything about them, the relieves her fears, reminding her that they promised not to talk about their night together. They both agree that the night was a mistake. Neither is sure how to act, Greenlee starts to leave, suggesting that they just stick to being friends without the benefits. Aidan quickly agrees. He kisses her cheek and leaves. Greens watches him walk away.

Ryan and Annie's plane is delayed in the air, which only serves to make her more nervous about returning home. Ryan tries to get her to relax but she can only think about the meeting with Walter at the cemetery. Ryan begins to wonder what is bothering Annie and she immediately shuts him down, preferring to clean out her purse instead of talking to him. Ryan just keeps talking, though, about Walter and their visit. When he asks about Walter's deafness Annie says he accidentally fell down a staircase. Ryan finally calls Annie on her behavior but she doesn't answer. The pilot tells them the plane will be delayed a while longer and Ryan pulls out his laptop to get some work done. Annie turns away to get some sleep and Ryan begins to research Walter! He finds a story about Walter's fall out of a window and wonders why Annie told him that Walter fell down stairs. Sleeping, Annie dreams she is at an open window and catches the pocket watch as if falls from above. She jerks awake, startling Ryan. She tries to brush off the dream and when she sees the information on Ryan's computer, changes the subject and confronts him on his investigation. Angry, she tells him to stop prying. A flight attendant comes over asking about their problems and Annie becomes very agitated when she learns she can't get off the plane. Ryan tells the attendant they're fine and she leaves. He reaches out to Annie but she pushes him away. She apologizes but Ryan wonders what she is sorry for - lying to him or getting caught. He reminds her that he has been open and honest and wonders why she can't be honest with him now. The pilot tells them they can deplane and Ryan leaves their seats.

Kendall is heading off to feed Spike when Zach holds up the vial of vitamins and asks what is going on! She thanks him for reminding her, trying to get him off the subject but Zach won't play along. He asks about Dr. Hilliard and her non-meeting with Dr. Mayer, trying to get to the truth. Finally Kendall admits that she went to see Dr. Hilliard but Zach still isn't done questioning her. He wants the full truth, right now! Kendall swears that she was going to tell him everything but didn't know how or when. Defending her actions, she tells him that she believes in Dr. Hilliard's methods. She tells him about Ryan's involvement, which only annoys Zach more. Zach insists that she listen and accept the fact that Spike may never hear naturally again. He points out Dr. Norton's credentials and prognosis, asking her to just consider it. Angry, she wonders why he ever said he could consider alternative treatments if he didn't believe in them. He brings up the option of Cochlear Implants but Kendall isn't interested in that because of the limitations - special schools, not being able to swim. "I don't want people treating him like he is an invalid," she cries. Zach calls her out on her actions - calling Spike "my son" all the time and keeping Zach and Ryan out of the loop. He tells her that he is okay with alternative options but he wants more than pamphlets and so-called vitamin drops. Kendall begs him to see Dr. Hilliard before he makes any more decisions and he agrees, as long as Annie and Ryan come, too! "No. Not Ryan," she says, insisting that Ryan will mess things up for Spike. Zach demands that she include Ryan and as they are fighting Ryan and Annie walk in the door!

Josh is singing Beatles hits to Ian when Julia comes in. They talk about Ian's progress for a while. Julia is fairly reserved with him because of how he treated her - and Jamie - before she left. Josh surprises her by apologizing for how he acted in the past. She accepts. "You're starting to sound like someone who believes in family," she says and leaves him with Ian. She returns a short time later and they watch the kiddo for a while. Josh asks about Kathy. Julia goes on and on about Kathy and school; Josh begins talking about having his own kids someday. Julia realizes she is off duty and Josh asks her to stick around for a cup of coffee. She turns him down at first but then asks if she can reconsider. They leave to get some caffeine.

Alone, Erica picks up a few of Ian's gifts. She picks up a photo frame that is engraved with Ian's birthdate. Jack arrives and she shows him the frame and the date. "I just want this over, Jack," she says despairingly. Jack sits with her for a while and then they leave together.
