All My Children - DAILY UPDATES

Tad is busily unpacking at the new Martin home when JR stops by to invite him to The Comeback for a quick bite. Instead, Tad invites him in to help with a new home-theater system. JR tells him to come to the bar to watch the game with him; Tad turns him down but JR pushes the issue. Tad begins to think something is up. He turns back to the home theater set up but all the juice the system needs shorts out the house! Happy, JR tells Tad to call an electrician in the morning and head over to The Comeback. Tad refuses and instead goes to find a flashlight. Together they get Tad's new generator working and Tad gets the new television going just in time for the big game. But, the generator goes out just as things get underway! JR asks Tad to meet him at the yacht a while later. Tad goes upstairs. JR calls Krystal to tell her they'll be there within the hour.

Outside The Comeback, Ava suggests a quick trip to New York to hit some of the hotspots. Jonathan turns her down, telling her it's time for a night out of the spotlight. She reluctantly agrees. Opal, Ruth and Joe are helping Krystal and the others finish up the decorations for Tad's surprise party. Wes, a new bartender, arrives and Krystal introduces him around. Babe offers to give Wes the grand tour. Meanwhile, Amanda and Colby wonder if Tad is prepared for the night ahead. Krystal isn't sure but is fairly confident that JR will get Tad there on time. She sees Jonathan and Ava and invites them to join in the party. They agree. Krystal stuns Ava by thanking her for the publicity that surrounded The Kiss, but warns Ava that she doesn't want any publicity tonight! Amanda can't believe Ava has been invited and warns her to keep her distance! Babe interrupts them, telling them to get over themselves, then she takes Jonathan and Amanda to finish up some decorating. Colby walks over and thanks Ava for helping to get Sean cleared of the drug charges. Ava shrugs off her actions. Josh walks in and talks to Joe about the family, still unsure of how to react to the big Martin clan. They find common ground in talking about Jamie. Joe hugs him. Ruth is creating Tad's favorite breakfast with Krystal - cereal and candy bars! "His dentist must be a rich man," Krystal says. Opal and Krystal talk about old times and karaoke nights from the past. She thanks Opal and Ruth for raising Tad the way they did.

Kendall demands that Dr. Hilliard take Spike back as his patient. Dr. Hilliard refuses. Kendall tells Dr. Hilliard how Spike came to be, the accident and Ian's early birth, all the while begging Dr. Hilliard to help her make Spike well again. Dr. Hilliard asks about Ryan and Zach but Kendall says he'll only have to deal with her. He tells her that all of the parents and step-parents need to be involved. He finally agrees to treat Spike! The doc gives her vitamin drops to give Spike every day and hands her a pamphlet for more information. He asks for Spike's medical records and Kendall promises to have them to him the next day. Dr. Hilliard asks how Ryan and Zach will react but Kendall tells him not to worry. She leaves.

From outside the NICU window, Erica watches as Zach holds Ian. When his time is up with Ian, Zach goes outside to talk with Erica. She can't believe what she just saw. Emotionally, Zach tells Erica about a vision he just had of playing hockey with Ian when he is older. Erica asks about Kendall's actions with the other mother. Zach tells her it was just sleep deprivation but Erica is still worried, especially since she heard about the new living arrangements. Zach assures Erica that it won't last long because Kendall is bouncing back quickly. Kendall arrives, surprised to see Erica there. She waves at Zach as Erica tells her that he has been holding Ian. "I can hold him, too?" Kendall asks. Before she goes inside Erica apologizes to Kendall for not being able to do more for the boys. "I haven't always been here for you but I am now," Erica says, asking if there is more she can do. Kendall gets quiet. Struggling with what to tell Erica, Kendall decides to keep quiet and goes inside to see Ian. Zach shows her the pictures Josh took. Erica invites them to come along to Tad's birthday party. Kendall agrees to go, but wants to check on Spike first. Zach starts to leave with her but Kendall says she has one more thing to do and leaves alone. Zach is waiting for Kendall when she gets off the elevator with Spike's medical records. She tells him they are for Spike's pediatrician.

Annie is shocked at the pocket watch and note attached and begins to shake. Ryan asks about the gift and who sent it. She says it's from her father and must be his way of forgiving her for the past. She trashes the note before Ryan can get a glimpse, saying it was an apology. Ryan doesn't believe her. She tells him she wants to visit her father, alone, but Ryan doesn't want her to go. He insists on going with her, certain that there is still more going on that she has been telling him. Ryan tells Annie he has run a check on Neil McDermott, Terry's brother, and he is in prison and demands that she tell him who has her so scared now. Ryan tries to reassure her by saying he will always love her and then suggests that they go to Chicago together. Ryan calls Zach, telling him about the trip to Chicago. Annie returns, ready to go. Ryan assures her that going to Chicago, together, is the right thing to do. He goes to check on some things and Annie draws the watch from her pocket, unsure what it means. She has a panic attack and sees Ryan falling out of a window! With blood trickling out of his mouth, she says she can't let Ryan know anything about her past!

Erica arrives at the party, hoping she hasn't missed the surprise. Tad isn't there yet. They see someone coming, hit the lights and hide. JR comes in - alone! Everyone wonders where Tad could be.
