Kendall decides not to wait to see Dr. Hilliard. Ryan learns a little about Annie's past. Jack is tired of Greenlee's actions. Di decides to move on!
Aidan meets Di at conFusion. She is obviously uncomfortable and instead of grabbing a table for lunch, she asks him to take a seat so they can talk. She tells him about a new opportunity at Fusion, for her to be a rep for the company in New York. Aidan is annoyed that she decided to take the job without even asking his thoughts on the matter. Di apologizes but tells him it is something she needs to do. Aidan makes light of the situation and the whole breaking up process and asks Di to skip to the "let's be friends" part of the date. He kissing her hand and says he won't have any regrets. Di tells Aidan she is nervous about the move and the job, hoping that a change of scene will help her start a life and stop floating along. They talk about old times a bit. He tells her to watch out for herself. "You take care of you," she says, kisses his cheek and quickly walks away.
Angry about the show yesterday, Erica meets with Jesse from the network, telling him that she is done with New Beginnings! He reminds her of the contract and says the network won't let her go that easily. Erica realizes the network wants more drama from her; she balks at putting her family problems back on the air and suggests co-hosts. He loves the idea - as long as Jack will do it! Erica thinks about other options - Jimmy Kimmel, Dick Vitale and even Anderson Cooper. He doesn't like any option, except having Jack come on the show as her new co-host! Without giving Erica the possibility of backing out, he tells her they'll even begin a campaign to bring awareness to deafness and offers her a large sum of money. Erica decides to go along with the idea and promises to get Jack on board!
Kendall isn't sure what to think of Dr. Hilliard's promises to find a cure for Spike, but is just desperate enough to find a cure that she wants to believe him. Dr. Hilliard gives her his number and offers to meet with she, Zach, Ryan and Annie. They hang up. In his office, Dr. Hilliard asks Greenlee a few more questions about Spike. He wonders what her connection is to Spike, and even wants her name but Greenlee won't tell him. "If anyone connects my name with Spike he won't get the help he needs," she says and asks him to find a miracle for Spike!
Later, Greens meets Jack at conFusion. He wonders why she is so happy all of a sudden and becomes worried when Greenlee talks about the possibilities of forgiveness from Ryan and Kendall. Jack turns, looking for a waiter and Greenlee realizes he is upset about something. She brings up Erica and then starts a fight with Jack about his wanting her to get out of time. "My home is here," she says, angry that he isn't backing her up. Jack doesn't back down and reminds her of the pain she has caused, saying she needs to move on with her life outside of Pine Valley. This only makes Greenlee angry; she tells Jack she has been trying to make an effort with him and everyone else. Jack interrupts, telling her she is only making things worse! He asks why she insists on taking his words - and everyone else's! - the wrong way, why she insists on pushing people away. He doesn't get through to her. "I'm not going to let you drag me down," she says and leaves him at the table. Erica walks in. Jack can't believe what wants him to do and immediately tells her he won't be involved in any more television shows with her! He walks away. Erica gets on the phone, calls Jesse and tells him Jack is on board!
Returning to Zach, Kendall tells him about Dr. Hilliard's call. Zach is suspicious, especially when Kendall tells him that Dr. H isn't affiliated with PVH. Zach doesn't burst her bubble though, and agrees to check out the new doctor once Spike is released. Kendall pulls back, unwilling to wait another minute to get help for Spike. Zach points out that Spike needs to heal from his surgeries, first, but Kendal doesn't want to listen. She asks Zach where he has gone and why he was so willing to fight for Spike before he was born and why he isn't willing to fight for Spike now. Zach reminds Kendall that Spike needs hospital care for a while longer but she won't listen. Zach asks her to talk to Dr. Norton once more before they bring in Dr. Hilliard, angering Kendall. He backs down a little, telling Kendall they'll take Spike once he is released. He leaves to check on Ian. Once she is alone, Kendall decides to take matters into her own hands! Joe comes in to check on Spike, telling Kendall that they only need to watch Spike for a little while longer. He asks her about the cochlear implant possibilities but Kendall won't discuss it. Instead, she asks when they can take Spike home. Reluctantly, Joe says they might be able to take him home in another couple of days.
A nurse meets Zach in the hall, telling him to get to the NICU fast. He meets Dr. Delano there, and learns that Ian is hemorrhaging in his brain! Dr. Delano tells him this kind of thing sometimes happens with premies; Zach asks if they can fix him. Dr. Delano tells him to get Kendall because the surgery can't wait.
Talking at home, Ryan tells Annie that he wants to know more about her. Annie isn't ready to talk about her past, which makes Ryan even more curious about her family. "I want to know you, all of you," he says. Still, Annie doesn't want to revisit the past with Ryan. He accepts her answer but tells her when she is ready, she can tell him anything. As they eat lunch, Annie tells Ryan a little about her father. His name is Walter Novak, he is serious and he became deaf after an accident. Ryan asks about the accident but Annie won't give him any details. He changes the subject to talk about Walter's job - he was a music teacher before the accident; since he lost his hearing, though, he has become a painter. "Didn't he miss what he lost?" Ryan asks. Annie tries to explain by explaining that the senses are really tied to feelings, so Spike can still feel everything even if he can't hear anything. Ryan leaves for the hospital. Annie is cleaning up from lunch when the phone rings. No one will talk to her, instead a nursery rhyme begins to play. Annie throws the phone to the floor, scared.
Ryan arrives at Kendall's suite of rooms at the hospital, surprised to find no one is around.
Greenlee sees Aidan alone at the bar and asks to join him. He blows her off and walks away.
