Jack Won't Turn On GreenleeTuesday, August 14 2007 |
Kendall wants Jack to have Greenlee arrested; Zach and Ryan argue. Greenlee wants absolution. Annie leaves on a secret mission.

At The Comeback an obviously drunken Greenlee continues her flirting with Wheeler, much to Aidan's chagrin. They get ready to leave but before they get out the door he slugs Wheeler, dropping him to the floor! Aidan pulls Greenlee from the bar but she refuses to leave, preferring instead to stumble around and try to order another drink. Aidan keeps trying to pull her away but she won't go. She rants about Wheeler, her perfect date, and soon begins talking about everyone else in town. When she mentions Kendall, her stomach turns and she runs, throwing up in the bushes! Aidan sits with her at an outside table and asks Greenlee what prompted her latest drinking binge. She tells him about the showdown with Jonathan. She wonders why Aidan keeps hanging around her and offers to double whatever Zach is paying to get him to leave her alone! Aidan turns down the offer, telling her that Zach isn't paying her for this. Aidan brings her some water as Greenlee wonders what exactly his game plan is at this point and why he hasn't had her arrested yet. "Maybe because you're doing a better job of punishing yourself," he says. Aidan tells Greenlee that she won't feel free until she confesses everything that she did but she refuses, insisting there is another way of fixing the situation. Aidan leaves Greenlee to think about things alone.

At Fusion, Annie tries to focus on work rather than the drama in her personal life but quickly thoughts of Spike and Ian take over. Di tells her not to worry about work, to let the others do that, and instead go back to her family. But Annie can't. She feels like she needs to act, to do something. Her phone rings, interrupting them, but it is a wrong number and she is disappointed. Di wonders who she hoped that call would be from. "I called him. I had to, for Spike," she says, shocking Di who obviously knows what Annie is taking about. She tells Di she didn't want to call "him" but didn't feel she had a choice because she needed to help Ryan! Di tells Annie that she needs to tell Ryan everything but Annie doesn't feel like she can yet. Instead, she tells Di that she needs to go! Di leaves. As soon as she is alone Annie calls the airlines to make a last minute reservation.

In a waiting area Ryan and Zach talk about the last few days. Ryan tells Zach about a plan to fund a few new hearing-impaired research startups and Zach offers to help. Ryan turns to him and asks what is really going on with Greenlee. Zach skirts the issue but Ryan won't let it drop which only serves to annoy Zach further. He tells Ryan that Greens is gone and tells Ryan to drop it but he won't. Zach makes up a story about wanting to throw Greenlee off a bridge! He then says simply that she has been "taken care of" and tells Ryan to back off! He doesn't and keeps pushing Zach, who tells him exactly what he thinks: that Ryan is the root of all of these problems because of the way he treated Greens in the past! Ryan turns things around, blaming Zach for the blackout and saying that is what sent Greens over the edge. "Take a look in the mirror. You are to blame," Ryan says. Zach defends his actions, telling Ryan that he protected his family. Emma arrives with Rachel. Zach leaves. Emma asks Ryan why he and Zach were yelling and he explains that they were simply disagreeing. He decides to call Annie to see about dinner but she doesn't answer.

Bianca calls Kendall and is stunned to learn that Spike's deafness is permanent. She is even more stunned when Kendall tells her to stay in Paris rather that returning to Pine Valley. Kendall goes on to tell her that Spike isn't really deaf forever, because they will find a cure for him. As they talk, Kendall goes on and on about Spike but says very little about Ian. Binks picks up on that and asks about the new baby, surprised to learn that Kendall is spending the bulk of her time with Spike rather than the new baby. Kendall hangs up after a while. Jack arrives and reaches out to Kendall. They talk about Spike and Kendall tells him she needs to get Spike to another facility - one that doesn't insist on more surgeries for him! Jack reminds her that Joe and the other doctors saved Spike's and Ian's lives, calming her down. He asks if there is anything else he can do. "You can have Greenlee arrested," Kendall says! Jack tells Kendall there isn't enough evidence to arrest Greens but Kendall doesn't want to hear it. When Jack turns to leave she stops him, insisting that Greenlee needs to be punished for what she did to Spike. She plays the dad card, telling Jack that she needs him, as her father, as much or more than Greens does! Emotionally Jack tells Kendall that he doesn't know if he can do it. "Then you can't help me at all," she says. Jack leaves. A while later Zach comes in and sees Kendall sleeping in a chair. He picks up the boy, who is awake, and talks to him for a while. Zach decides it's time for the boys to meet and takes Spike down the hall. He introduces the boys through the glass as Jack watches.

Back in the hospital room, Kendall dreams about Spike and Ian, who are both growing and perfect. She, Zach and the boys are having a picnic in the park when Spike begins to sing. Greenlee shows up, telling Kendall that she wants her life - her entire life. Kendall stands, ready to take on Greenlee - and stabs a knife into her side! Greenlee falls to the ground! Kendall wakes to find Greenlee standing over her in the hospital room!
