Tempers flare in Pine ValleyMonday, January 08 2007 |
• Adam and Jack use some tough love on Colby and Sean.
• Josh demands the truth from Zarf.

When Ryan gets home, Annie tells him about Jon's angry outburst and reaction to Zarf's questioning and release. She shares that she's afraid that Jonathan might do something crazy, and urged Ryan to make sure Jon is OK.
In Zarf's Valley Inn room, Babe is comforting a tearful Zoë when Jon breaks in and wants to know who Zarf is. Did he murder his sister? Jon calls Zarf a "sick, psychotic pervert who probably killed my sister." They get into a fight. Josh and then Ryan burst in and saves the day. Babe's bodyguard comes in and urges her to leave, but she refuses. Josh also doesn't want to leave until he's certain Babe is OK.
Babe tells Ryan and Jon that Erin was her friend, and that she's absolutely certain that Zarf wouldn't hurt anyone. Ryan apologizes for Jon and assures them that he will not be bothering them again. Jon plans to go home, but Ryan insists Jon comes with him.
After they leave, Josh insists that Zoë tell him the truth. Is he transitioning from male to female? Bianca deserves answers—they all do! Zarf undresses in front of them, and asks Josh "what he sees?" He demands that Josh look at him, and says "there's no woman here. Every part of her is gone. I'm a man."
Josh tells Zarf to stay away from Bianca and Babe, and asks Babe to leave with him. She refuses, and tells Josh that though she's made many mistakes in her life, this is not one of them.
Zarf says there's nothing babe can do to help him. Babe tells Zach that she hopes to see Zoë again soon, and leaves. Josh is waiting outside the door, and when Babe leaves, grabs her and asks what she doing! He reiterates that the New Year's Eve kiss meant something, and that he's going to fight for her. He also urges her to stay away from Zarf, saying he doesn't trust him.
Babe tells Josh that she's is not interested in him and doesn't want to see him again.
Ryan brings Jon to Annie's, and Jon says he doesn't feel comfortable there. That's the exact reason he should be there, explains Ryan. Jon has to face the truth that Erin is gone. He hopes that Jon being there—among Erin's things—will help him heal. He tells Jon that the anger Jon feels is what worries him. Jon says the same is true for him. Ryan says they have to find a way to channel their anger—otherwise it'll destroy them. Don't give into the rage…that's not what Erin would want.
When Zach asks her to explain her dislike of Annie, Kendall says that Annie is jinxed. He pointedly asks her if her real motivation is to make sure that Ryan loves her—and only her—for the rest of her life.
Kendall claims that's not true, and accuses Zach of trying to make her feel jealous. He says he simply wants her to be honest with him. She says that Annie and Emma are taking time and affection from Spike, and she's worried that it will take Ryan's attention from Spike. Then, she reveals the news that Ryan is Emma's biological father. She says that she originally thought it was another one of David's lies, but then the DNA test confirmed it.
Is he going to make her tell Ryan? Zach says he can't make Kendall do anything, but he knows that being separated from Ethan was the biggest regret of his life. He also points out that Ryan was a sperm donor--not a father.
The phone rings and it's Chief Frye, asking him to come to the station immediately regarding a development in the Fusion murders. When he gets there he sees Ryan, who's also been summoned by Derek. Before they go in to see him, Zach tells Ryan that he agrees with Spike staying with him and Annie.
Adam rushes to the police station where Colby has been arrested. She insists that Chief Frye has something against the Chandlers, and that's the only reason she's in trouble.
Jack arrives to see Sean, and they learn that Erica has moved back to the Valley Inn. Jack wants to know what the heck Sean was thinking when he drank and commandeered the limo.
Jack tells Adam that he has no intention of bailing out Sean, saying jail will be a lesson in consequences for the teen. Krystal agrees that's a good idea, and suggests that Adam do the same. He thinks that's crazy, but she insists he's "creating a monster" by saving Colby every time she does something wrong.
Krystal convinces Adam, and they leave Colby at the station.
Colby insists to Sean that this demonstrates that Adam really doesn't want her. The next time Sean's planning a road trip…she's in.
Danielle is at the police station responding to her father's call. He announces that he and her mother want her to leave Pine Valley immediately. She doesn't want to go, and says that she's safe, and under police guard 24/7. He decides to let her stay in town and urges her to change locations frequently.
Dixie goes into JR's room and finds him watching the feed from Josh's room.
Jamie and Julia arrive with little Kathy in tow. She's going to play with Little A, but the girl takes a shine to Dixie and asks her to play with her. Julia does an acupuncture session on JR, and again urges him to avoid stress in order to heal. She leaves and goes to join Dixie and Kathy. Her phone rings and it's the hospital asking her to come in right away—Linda has taken a bad turn.
When one of the bodyguards reports to JR, he learns of Josh and Babe's New Year's kiss, and Babe's presence at the Valley Inn. This enrages JR and gets he gets on the phone to his attorney, demanding he find a way for JR to gain sole custody of Little A.
