• Zarf tells Bianca the story of Zoe.
• Zach confides in Kendall.
• Erica has doubts.
Ryan wants to know why Josh and Kendall were yelling about Annie, and Kendall tries to defuse the situation and claim it's just that she thinks Annie isn't worthy of him. Ryan says that he enjoys being with Annie and will continue their relationship.
Later, Ryan and Spike run into Tad near the ice rink. Tad asks if Spike has a bodyguard. Ryan says he doesn't and wonders if Tad thinks Spike needs one. Tad says that until the Fusion killer is found, he'd keep Spike away from Kendall and Zach.
Zach says to Tad that he thinks the deaths of Erin and Simone were a message to him. He and Tad agree that Kendall is the next target. Tad demands that Zach give him more information about how Amelia died—but Zach says he never confides in anyone.
After Ryan leaves, Josh comes in and tells Kendall that she can't stop him from telling Ryan the truth. He doesn't want Ryan to miss Emma's childhood the same way Jeff Martin missed his. He cannot be swayed, he claims. "Not even if I offer you Babe?" counters Kendall, and begs him not to tell Ryan.
The phone rings and it's Zach, insisting that Kendall come to their new house immediately. When she arrives, he tells her there are things she doesn't know about this house—things he has to tell her. It's things about his childhood, memories that come flooding back every time his in their "dream house." He shows Kendall a picture of his mother.
He says that his memories of his mother are hazy…but he thinks he killed her.
Babe walks in on JR and Colby watching tape from the "spy cam." Babe announces that she's planned an intimate New Year's Eve dinner for the two of them. JR wonders why Babe is avoiding the conFusion party. Is it because of Josh? When Babe acknowledges that she and Josh have spoken, JR wants to know where.
She tells JR about the problems in the garage and how she spent time in Josh's hotel room. She continues that she wanted Josh to understand about them and their attempts to heal their marriage. She also insists that George the bodyguard was in the room with them for almost all of the exchange. Does JR believe her?
He says that he wants to believe her, and suggests she at least make an appearance at conFusion. Can she give him his New Year's kiss early? She does, and they wish each other happy new year. He asks to see George, and tells him that if Babe goes anywhere near Josh tonight, he wants to know about it.
"My name is Zoë," says Zarf to Bianca. Bianca is flabbergasted by his female dress, but Zarf claims she "sees who I really am." Bianca's response to that is a slap across his face, and an accusation that Zarf's getting kinky and wants a lesbian conquest. He insists that Zoë is his true self. Bianca isn't convinced, and tells Zarf how disappointed she is in him, and calls him a fake. He agrees that Zarf is a fake…but insists that Zoë is the true person. He tells Bianca of his history of fighting his own nature and trying to be the conventional boy his parents expected him to be, and how unyielding his father was about Zarf's habit of dressing in girl's clothes.
He continues that he hid behind his persona for his entire life—until he met Bianca. He tells her that he is a woman, a lesbian…and that he loves her.

Sean wants to talk to Jack before Erica makes her New Year's Eve appearance, but is interrupted by a radiant Erica. Sean has to hustle to cover for Jack when Erica talks about the necklace she's wearing—the one "Jack gave her." When Erica goes to freshen up, Sean quickly tells him the story of the scheme he and Colby undertook to bring them back together. He tells Jack that it's essential not to let Erica know the truth behind her jewelry.
Colby arrives to meet Sean for their New Year's Eve date and Erica overhears them talking about the scheme. When Jack comes to collect her, she promises him a New Year's Eve he'll never forget.
