Ryan, Kendall and Spike have a New Year's picnic. While Ryan is away, Kendall and Annie discuss her relationship with Ryan. Annie says that even though she looks like Greenlee, she is here, and Greenlee is long gone. She says she will be here for Ryan, since he's given so much to her.
Zach can't get the images of the woman out of his mind and is upset when he finds Bianca alone in the house. Where's her bodyguard?
She wants to know what's happening to make Zach so upset. He says it's the Fusion killer, but she insists it's more than that. What is it that he knows?
Zach tells Bianca about the dream he's had every night and how he can't help the woman in the dream either. It's clear that Zach is horrified by the possibility of danger coming to Kendall and believes that he's the only person who can truly protect her. He can't figure out the connection between his dream and the murders.
Tad encounters little Kathy at the hospital. Julia is comforting Linda, who has just learned of the death of her husband. Julia takes Kathy in to see her mother, who tells her that Aunt Julia will take care for her for the time being.
As Tad and Jamie discuss the Christmas Eve tragedy, Fr. Clarence is seen in the background. Tad shares some of the highlights of his Christmas Eve and says that he has faith that Kate is being taken care of and, if it's meant to be, they will find her. As Jamie, Julia and Kathy leave for Wildwind, Kathy asks "the funny man" [Tad] to come with them, which he happily does.

After leaving the Valley Inn lounge, Babe's alone and scared in the parking garage. She hears footsteps. Who is it? Suddenly, Josh and George the bodyguard arrive. They search the garage, but can't find anyone. After they leave, Zarf wanders out of the darkness.
After calming down in Josh's room, Babe says it's time for her to go home. An anguished Josh tells Babe that he can't forget about her. As she's leaving, she spots a wrapped Christmas gift and realizes it was meant for her. Yes, says Josh, he still wants her to have it. She opens it—a gold compact with the inscription inside: "You Are Loved."

Colby and Sean have booted up what she calls the "nasty cam" and they begin their surveillance of Babe. Colby claims she's doing it for JR, but Sean is skeptical. And when the camera shows Babe in bed at Josh's room in the Valley Inn, she thinks she's hit pay dirt—except that the camera is one the floor, and missing most of the action. Colby insists she has to go over there right away and re-set the camera—but Sean convinces her that's a terrible idea.
Zarf comes to the Chandler house to see JR, and asks him: "Do you think Babe really belongs with you? JR wants to know where Babe is. "On a journey," intones Zarf.
Zarf says he came to see what sort of man Babe, "a special soul," is spending her life with. JR reacts angrily, and Zarf wants to know why. JR says he doesn't intend to discuss his marriage with Zarf. Zarf says he knows what Babe needs and wants.
"What are you hiding from, JR Chandler?" asks Zarf. JR yells at him to get out of his house, but Zarf just stands there looking at him. Babe arrives at that moment, and she shows Zarf out.
Zarf says that JR's aura is terrible and that she and he both need a best friend. He wants her to come with him to "fulfill their destiny." Babe declines and Zarf tells her that tomorrow is when he will risk everything to fulfill his destiny.
Kendall's cell phone rings as she and Spike are sitting at the ice rink, watching Emma, Ryan and Emma skate. It's Josh, with the news that he has the DNA test results on Emma's parentage. He comes over to tell her that her suspicions are true: Emma is Ryan's biological daughter.
