Soaps.com has learned that All My Children will bring back Kelly Ripa (Hayley Santos) and Mark Consuelos (Mateo Santos) early next year!

Hayley and Mateo will be back on the show to help celebrate it's 40th anniversary, and are slated to appear on January 4 and 5, 2010!

Of course, Kelly and Mark met and married at AMC, and now have three children and busy lives in the entertainment industry.

I was so glad to hear Kelly make the anouncement this morning. I think its great. The way things are going it may be the last episodes I watch of AMC.

Love it, even if just two days. Will they play some scenes from their past? What about the many other longtimers who we miss?

The return of Kelly and Mark, even if only for two days, ought to generate viewers at least. AMC lost a lot when those two left, but for the sake of their own careers I am glad they did, since the show has been in such a downward spiral.
