Soaps.com can confirm that ABC has made the move to bring actress Rebecca Budig back to her former role of Greenlee Smythe on All My Children!

The character is presumed dead, but as many Soaps.com readers have speculated, Nurse Gayle is actually tending to Greenlee in Gloucester, as she was sent to do by Dr. David Hayward (Vincent Irizarry).

The show will not wait until they move to Los Angeles to have Rebecca start back - she will shoot scenes at the New York studio before the end of the year. No first airdate was provided.

WHY?????????? And who are they going to match her with? Ryawn is boinking Mommie Dearest, Aiden has been given the BIG pink slip and it's not like the writing was so good for her on her last visit.

YES! Haters fall back please because Green is back in the building. Loving it. Now I will be watching AMC once again! All they need to do now is bring back Dixie & I'm good! I dont care how many times they bring those two back just keep bringin em!
