All My Children's Vincent Irizarry Wins Daytime Emmy!

Last night, August 30, the Daytime Emmy Awards were given out in Los Angeles, California. Among the elated winners was All My Children's own Vincent Irizarry, who plays the dark and complex Dr. David Hayward. Vincent was awarded the Emmy for Best Supporting Actor in a drama!

Vincent actually tied in the category with actor Jeff Branson from Guiding Light. As Soaps.com readers may remember, Jeff once portrayed Jonathon Lavery on AMC as well.

Vincent is certainly deserving of the award, as he embodies the character of David completely, portraying the contrasting personality traits of the dark doctor in such a way that viewers often find they love him, while at the same time hating him!

I'm very happy Vincent who plays David Hayward got the award, because I think he deserved it. I love the character he plays on AMC.

Vincent Irizarry, who plays Dr. David Hayward is my favorite characater in AMC. I wish they'd give him better lines. I wish he'd come out on top for a change. I think he's great.
