Andrita Media Center to be All My Children's New Home!

Tuesday, August 18 2009

ABC
ABC has inked a new long-term agreement with Andrita Media Center to be the new home facility for All My Children when it moves to Los Angeles.

Taping will commence in early January, and the state-of-the-art production facility will enable the iconic series to make an immediate transition from Standard-Definition to High-Definition.

ABC first began it's relationship with the Andrita Media Center back in 2008 when the taping for "General Hospital: Night Shift" was held there.

Soaps.com wishes AMC the very best in it's new home! Do you have any thoughts on the move? Share them with Soaps.com in the comment section below!

Well, I hope this move gives ABC some breathing room, so that they don't have to cancel any of the soaps. I also hope that enough of the regulars move, that AMC will still be recognizable. Maybe Emma and Kathy can be taped at the OLTL set and spliced in somehow with the regular taping.

As a longtime fan of AMC, I truly hope this move will reinvent the magic of Pine Valley. With all respect to the actors and crew, I feel AMC MUST return to concentrating on family drama. While I hope to see the actors relocate to LA, I think this move would be the perfect time to introduce a new core family to the cast, such as was done with the Cortlands in the 1980's .

Me being in Calif., I am very happy All My Children is moving to L.A. Good luck!

I don't like the move at all. I have been watching this show since it first hit the air waves in 1970. This not only will more than likely put a hard ship on my favorite stars, we stand to lose some of them too. This show has always been based in New York. Whose idea was it to fix something that wasn't Broken? If Susan Lucci, Ray Macdonald, or Michael Knight are off this show then I will quit watching for good.
