All My Children: Changing Spaces, Changing Cities!

Tuesday, August 04 2009

All My Children will indeed be making a move to Los Angeles from it's current location in New York City before the new year. Cast, crew, and air times will remain the same.

"All My Children is one of the most recognizable brands in television, and we are committed to continue telling and enhancing the stories of the residents of Pine Valley," said Brian Frons president of the Daytime division of the Disney/ABC Television Group.

AMC's creator, Agnes Nixon said, "I am so grateful for the wonderful commitment from ABC to 'All My Children.'"

What an insane idea... and you didn't even have it on your front page!

Many of the actors are not going to want to move or commute, and a good contract lawyer can get them out of their contract using "change of venue" as their reason. If the network thinks tbis will be the same show, they are sorely mistaken.

The only good thing is that being in California, James Mitchell (Palmer) can continue with the show since he now lives there.

I am excited that AMC is moving to LA because this means that there is a relly good chance that Rebecca Budig will return to AMC to portay Greenlee Smythe. She left the show to be with Bob in their home in California so this could work out perfectly! And since its obious that Greenlee isn't dead it would be easy to come up with a cathcy story line. It is also very obious that Charles Prett Jr. wants Becca to return becasue in an ABC Soaps magazine he said that he would like to take Bob(Rebecca's husband) on the golf course to persuade him to have Rebecca return. He also said in another addition of ABC Soaps magazine that he is leaving room for Greenlee to return and he thinks that one day she will and she will not be recasted.
