Rebecca Budig (ABC)
Rebecca returned to the show in the fall of 2007 and, at the time, only signed on for one year. Her contract had an option for three additional years, making it the standard four-year contract that most stars sign. She says it was a tough decision but that her heart is with her family – husband "Bachelor" Bob Guiney – in Los Angeles.
Rebecca's return last year caused a lot of online debate and strife because of rumors that Sabine Singh, who had been recast as Greenlee earlier in the year, had been fired to make way for Rebecca's return. Ads that cited "the real Greenlee" would return on fueled those rumors; Rebecca has never commented on those rumors. She would only say that the timing and the offer was right.
According to Rebecca, the end of her run as Greenlee will be worth watching and filled with surprises. Does this exit spell the end for Greenlee? You never know in soaps!
A final airdate has not been released but Soaps.com has learned that she will be around until the Spring of 2009. We will keep you posted until then!
