Soap veteran Frank Runyeon joins AMC Cast!

Thursday, October 23 2008

Frank Runyeon (Frank Runyeon)
Soaps.com welcomes soap veteran Frank Runyeon (ex-Steve, As The World Turns; ex-Michael, "Santa Barbara") to All My Children! Frank will take on the role of Forrest Williams.

Forrest is Reese's (Bianca's girlfriend) father and according to spoiler reports, he – and the rest of Reese's family – are none too happy with her life choices! This could lead to even more drama as the storyline around Bianca (and Zach and Reese) heats up.

***Spoiler Alert***

We now know that Erica is not going to be pleased that Bianca had another baby; she's even less pleased when she learns who the baby-daddy is. There is no way the news will go down well with Kendall, once she wakes from the coma. All of this means there will also be repercussions throughout the Kane and Montgomery clans. Greenlee and Jack are likely to be pulled into the mix, too.

Frank is best known as Steve Andropolous, one-half of the ATWT supercouple Betsy and Steve; he has been a fixture in the soap world for two decades. He is also an inspirational speaker.

Welcome, Frank! Soaps.com looks forward to seeing you back in Daytime!

I thought AMC was a wonderful show - until you allowed gays to openly show their preferences. Now, I'm not so sure I'm going to continue to be a fan.

i feel sorry for people that can't even watch a story line on a soap opera before they let their ignorance ruin it for themselves. I am proud to watch AMC break away from the "norm"; it could have a profound effect on those that think they know about other people's lifestyles, but really don't.

you don't have to feel sorry for people that wont watch something because they have a gay person on it. For one thing I myself don't care to watch anything gay. I think its sickning to see. It's bad enough that they are shoved down our throats during prime time and every where you look. Did God create Man & Man or Man & Woman?

God created all man kind. If you want to preach take your behind to church. Nobody is forcing you to watch the show. I think it's great that AMC has a homosexual relationship in there story line. My son watches AMC in the evenings with me and he has learned a lot from watching Binks. Just last week he helped out a girl in his school, who by the way is gay. Go AMC!!!! Keep it comming.

but why is it ok to throw the gay s/l in peoples face and stand behind it and say get over it but then have no tolerance if other people do not agree and say they have no tolerance? Do I want my child seeing the same sex kissing-- NO but then again small children shouldn't be watching sny grown ups on soaps doing half of what they do--it is not for little children to watch. Ireally don't think the shows as a rule are appropriate for undr the age of 17 any more and I was a veiw of soaps at 13--times have changed on tv and not always for the better--and that has nothing to do with gays on tv.

I'm enjoying the Bianca and Reese storyline for what it is---a drama about the ups and downs of a romantic relationship. So what if the two characters at the center of that storyline are gay?! Gays are a part of our society and they deserve just as much as any other minority group to have their stories told. IMHO. I suppose if I found a "gay story" offensive and unwatchable I would exercise my choice to turn the station to something more to my liking.

Oh and on the topic of Frank Runyeon---I love him. I was a huge fan of ATWT's Betsy and Steve supercouple. They were great together!

I don't care if they have a "gay" story line. Whatever -- what I DO mind is having Bianca go behind her sister's back to do what she did -- and Zach not consulting Kendall. That's the crap part of it. The other thing that just peeves me is that when I gripe about the SL, then people just say that I don't like it because it's about "gays" -- they just want to start the great debate. Again, let them be gay, but stay out of Kendall's decisions or lack of them. That's the crap part.
