Susan Lucci lives to dance another day! After a weak showing during the season premiere, Susan stepped up her game - and danced 'til she dropped!
Night one saw Susan Cha-Chaing with caution; night two had her Quick Stepping and looking much more at ease. The judges loved Susan - and partner Tony - tonight!
Judge Carrie Anne and Judge Len both said Susan was vastly improved and Bruno loved her!
"My fair lady! Class and elegance," said Bruno!
In the end, Susan and Tony won 22 points from the judges; combined with America's vote it was enough to allow them to dance another day.

For the second year in a row, a Daytime star is heating up the stage in a Primetime reality show. Monday night, September 22, started it all off for Dancing with the Stars and All My Children'sSusan Lucci (Erica). Over the next two nights, Susan and the other contestants will shake their groove thangs on the dance floor in the hopes of capturing America's vote - and living to dance another night.
Joining Susan on the dance floor are *NSYNC star Lance Bass, Grammy Award Winning singer Toni Braxton, actress Brooke Burke, beach volleyball star (and Olympic Gold Medalist) Misty May-Treanor, celebrity chef Rocco DiSpirito, Olympic track star Maurice Greene, actress Kim Kardashian, actress Cloris Leachman, Disney star Cody Linley, actor Ted McGinley, football star Warren Sapp and comedian Jeffrey Ross!
Susan drew Tony Dovoloni as her partner. Tony was the World Rhythm Champion in 2005 and 2006 and also the 2006 PBS American Ballroom Challenge Rhythm Challenge. His style is Latin.
Tonight, Susan and Tony danced the Cha-Cha and, while most of the moves were great, Susan was stiff and did lose her place in the steps at one point.

Judge Len echoed these sentiments saying, "It was neat, it was precise. You need to throw caution to the wind!"
In the end, Susan and Tony were given a score of 15. Although that is low, it wasn't the lowest. Comedian Jeffrey Ross and partner Edyta Sliwinska scored only a 12! America's votes will determine which dancing pairs will continue on and which pair will be cut from the competition. If they survive, Susan and Tony will dance the Quick Step - and that should be fun to watch!
What did Susan have to say about her first night on the dance floor?
"Everyone thinks of me as Erica Kane but I'm not Erica Kane. And, I am scared to death," she said. "I've never danced like this but it's so much fun! I have miles to go; I want to do better!"
Well, Susan, you've certainly got our vote - now to get the votes of the rest of the country!
As Soaps.com did last year, we'll be recapping Susan's performances each night of the competition, so check back here to see how she did, whether she will live to dance again or be given a reprieve and a little bit more sleep!
For those of you who didn't realize it, Susan isn't taking a break from Pine Valley and her storyline has been front-burnered. So, for the forseeable future, she is going to be working seven days each week and earning a lot of frequent flyer miles! Susan's AMC schedule included shooting all day Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, flying to Los Angeles on Saturday to learn the dances, performing on DWTS Monday and Tuesday, flying back to New York on Wednesday and starting the whole shebang again. Wow! Talk about a hectic schedule!
Congratulations on your first dance night, Susan! Soaps.com wishes you the best of luck!
