Friday, August 07 2009: Marissa Gets Shot!

In the courtroom, Kendall rises to hear the verdict. The judge sentences her to incarceration to the state penitentiary for the remainder of her life and a minimum fifteen years served before consideration for parole. Kendall is in shock. Liza tells her that it’s not over and that she will get the sentence lowered. Kendall asks Jesse if she can just go now and they put on handcuffs. As Adam emerges from the courtroom, reporters gather around him and ask him for a statement. He thanks the DA office for their tenacity. They ask Kendall why Erica is not there. Liza tells them that they will appeal. Marion looks on in disgust, then pulls a gun and shoots. They rush to hold her and Zach rushes to Kendall and asks if she’s been hit. When it’s clear she’s okay, he rushes to Marissa who has been shot, and tells her that she’ll be okay. She leaves by ambulance and Liza rushes to her mom, Marion. Marion is beside herself for having shot the wrong person. Natalia takes Marion past Adam. Adam looks at her and says, “Oh my God!” She tells him that she had to try and that he didn’t have the courage. They take her away. Liza tells Adam that whenever there is a life destroyed, he’s smack dab in the middle of it. Jesse calls for an ambulance.

Liza tells Marion that they are taking her to the hospital. Marion talks about making Stuart’s dinner but Liza reminds her that Stuart is dead. Marion asks what she’s doing there. She remembers going to Kendall’s sentencing but she doesn’t remember what happened. Liza tells her that she will take care of things. Natalia tells them that it’s time for Marion to go. Marion tells Liza that they have to have lunch at the Yacht Club soon. They hug, kiss and Marion is taken away. Liza cries.

Thursday, August 06 2009: JR Comes On To Annie!

Zach is on the stand in the courtroom and tells the judge what an incredible mother Kendall is. He says if it weren’t for Kendall the boys wouldn’t be here. He tells the judge he wants him to understand why Kendall went to the mansion that night. Scott takes the stand and tells the courtroom that Stuart was an extremely forgiving person and he would want his murderer forgiven. On the stand, Adam tells the court that he believes in an eye for an eye but that Stuart didn’t share that belief. He says he wants to carry out Stuart’s wishes. Marion abruptly walks into the courtroom and yells loudly that Stuart might have forgiven his killer, but she has not!

Taking the stand, Marion cries that her husband is gone and it’s because of Kendall. She says she doesn’t care if Stuart wasn’t the intended victim. Liza rises and goes to the stand. Marion calls Kendall a cold-blooded monster and hopes that she suffers every moment of her miserable life, and then rots in hell.

Outside the courtroom, Zach and Liza chat, Scott and Marissa sit together and Marion tells Adam that when she looks at him, she doesn’t see Stuart’s twin. She sees nothing. He acknowledges that she’s hurting. She angrily tells him she’s moving out of the Gatehouse. A court official announces that they are advised to return to the courtroom.
