Playing With Fire!

At the hospital Jake confronts Taylor about her 'slow' recovery. She says she is faking her recovery and pretending it is taking longer so that she will have more time with Brot. She says this is the only way to help Brot return to the man he was. Jake can't believe what he is hearing. She leaves. Amanda arrives and asks for Jake's help with JR and David. "Something bad might happen," Amanda says, convincing Jake to come with her.

Brot takes Taylor home. She struggles to use her walker and he says she needs more stretching exercises but she insists on lunch first. She gets wine glasses and some food from the fridge. Brot goes to the door but Taylor stops him, telling him that she needs to take breaks and it would help her if he would stay for lunch. He gives in. Brot rubs her feet as they picnic in the living room. She reminds him of a day they played with kids in Iraq and says that day kept her sane after the explosion. He says he couldn't think of that day. She slowly gets to her feet, turns on some music and asks him to dance with her! As they dance, she kisses him and draws him closer. After the dance she sits down – and Brot walks out. She quickly follows him and he realizes she has been faking her progress!

Will You Marry Me?

Taylor calls for a cab to take her to Pine Valley Hospital for physio, but just then, Brot comes to the door and offers her a lift, so she cancels the cab. He brings her favorite snacks. When he suggests they leave, she asks him why he avoids getting close.

At Pine Valley Hospital, Jake talks to Joe about Tad’s absence. Tad’s been gone for two weeks. Joe says that communication is down where Tad is, and he has been officially listed as missing. Taylor runs into Jake who is very stressed about all of the problems in his life. He asks her how she is. She tells Jake she thinks Brot feels a sense of responsibility for her and that he will skip town and leave her with unanswered questions.

Back at home, Taylor and Brot talk about her physical condition. He wants to see her walk without help. She takes three steps and flings herself toward him in a big happy hug. She wants to try again, but he leaves.

Just One Christmas Miracle?

In jail Brot tells Taylor that nothing will turn him back into the man he was long ago.

At the hospital, Jake tells Greenlee about losing his privileges to the hospital because of David – the 'Prince of Darkness'! He walks away and Greens settles into the waiting room, thinking about Emma. Jake returns with a Santa suit and asks her to come along with him. Taylor walks slowly by and he asks Greens to wait for a while. He follows Taylor into the hall. She says Brot has given up and she doesn't know how to fix him. Then, she stops short, saying she isn't going to dump all of this on Jake. She goes on to physical therapy. Greenlee comes into the hall and asks if he loves Taylor. "No," Jake says but it sounds like a question. She tells him to go after Taylor and promises to return the Santa suit for him. Jake catches up with Taylor; she says she can't focus on therapy with all of the problems with Brot. Jake listen and she says again that this isn't his problem. "We were almost something," she says. Jake says friends help one another out and gives her a candy cane. Taylor continues down the hall and stops outside Kendall's room. Zach is putting pictures of the boys out and talking to Kendall. He spots her and comes over; they each apologize and then Taylor asks for his help with Brot!

Brot arrives at Taylor's with Zach in tow. Zach says he is having the case reviewed and leaves. Taylor tells Brot things will be okay now. He pulls away. Taylor wants him to stay but Brot leaves, saying he'll call her.

Let's Be Honest!

Jake and Taylor get rid of the MP's but by the time they do Brot has disappeared as well. Taylor worries about him. Jake says Brot will be okay and he'll come back but Taylor isn't so sure. She thanks Jake for helping them and says he is a good friend. He leaves.

Brot returns to Taylor's and says he is only there to say goodbye. She tells him not to do this. He sets her down and says he can't get past his injuries. "It's over," he says. Taylor offers to find a lawyer for him but he tells her to forget about the MP's because that won't change his mind about leaving. She says she won't let him run away from her! She says if he runs now he will keep on running forever.
