Petey comes right back at Adam about his own Pidgeon Hollow roots. Colby pushes him to the door - and Petey kisses her! Adam sees, which worries Colby. He grabs Petey and then his phone and orders Palmer to keep his son under control. Colby says this isn't good. Petey points out that with Adam distracted with him and Palmer, he is leaving Colby alone. Adam focuses on Petey and is about to go off on him when Colby pushes him to the door. "Later, Juliet," he calls as Colby holds Adam back.
Carmen brings Adam his breakfast but he isn't interested in it. She lays down the new rules for his meals - healthy, non-caffeinated food - and then throws out all of his alcohol! Adam takes the alcohol out of the boxes but Carmen puts them right back in. He fires her - again! - but Carmen ignores him. She asks about Krystal. Adam yells at her and she says yelling is bad for his heart. She brings up the kids and says his drinking is hard on them; she says she saw Colby putting rum and vodka in her sodas. She says he can have one glass of wine with dinner but other than that she is cutting him off. She walks out. Carmen finds Colby staring outside and tells her to go enjoy life. Colby shuts her down. Carmen tells her how hard she had it at Colby's age - working two jobs and living in a rough neighborhood - and says if she could survive, so can Colby. Colby says she wants her family to go away. Carmen says she should count her blessings to have a family at all. To cheer her up, Carmen gives Colby a Salsa lesson. She says during the really tough times at home, dancing got her through because she could pretend to be anywhere with anyone. Carmen starts fluffing pillows. Colby hugs her in thanks and leaves the house.
Colby and Cassandra arrive at the Yacht Club. Cassandra runs to Dre, crying. She can't understand why Dre has been arrested when Richie was such a bad person. As they talk, Cassandra suggests that someone else killed Richie before they hit him; Dre says that couldn't have happened but Cassandra reminds him of how many other people hated Richie. Dre says whatever happens, he will be okay. She promises to be there for him no matter what happens. They kiss.
Petey sidetracks Colby, who thinks he is stalking her. He says he just likes her. She asks about college and he says he is tired of being a brain and is taking a break. Colby says they can never have a romantic relationship. "But I love you," blurts Petey! Colby gets really nervous. Petey pretends it was a joke.
The Hubbards arrive at Tad's for a family barbecue. Cassandra wails about Dre's arrest, and when Jesse says Dre is out on bail she already gets very upset because he hasn't called her. Jesse says he is keeping his distance because of the pending charges against the girls. Cassandra tries to leave but Colby stops her. Tad takes Jesse to the basement while Krystal and Angie try to distract the girls with food preparation. Angie hugs Cass and tells her that she and Jesse love her. Cassandra says, again, that she was just trying to protect her friends. Angie asks how serious things are between she and Dre which annoys Cassandra even more. She thinks Angie disapproves of Dre because of his legal troubles. Angie says she disapproves of the relationship because they are too young to go fast. Cass says she should worry about Frankie's relationship with Randi. Angie says Frankie is old enough to make hard decisions. She walks away.
Krystal goes upstairs to check on Colby, who is worried about Dre and the possibility of landing in jail herself. Krystal sniffs her water bottle, angering Colby. She says again that she isn't an alcoholic and sprays some of the water on Krystal accidentally! Krystal cleans up and Colby reiterates over and over that she isn't a drunk like the other Chandler kids. Krystal says she might not be drinking today but she has been drinking in the past and that action is hurting her. Krystal reminds her that Jenny needs a strong role model - and Colby isn't it! She says she can be the kind of role model Jenny needs and swears she'll do anything to prove it. Krystal hugs her and says she'll do anything for Colby. She tells her not to be afraid to ask for help; Colby says she is fine.
Back upstairs, Cassandra whines to Colby about her talk with Angie. Colby says she and Krystal had a heart to heart, too. Cass desperately wants to see Dre so Colby makes up a story about a pool party. Krystal and Angie let them leave.
At the Chandler mansion, JR and Babe follow Colby to the door, telling her that she needs to attend an AA meeting. She doesn't want to and insists she doesn't have a drinking problem. JR and Babe won't listen so to get them to stop, she agrees to go. Babe leaves for work.
JR and Babe go to an AA meeting at the hospital. JR sits down and recounts his crimes while he was drinking. After the meeting, Colby says she isn't like the other people at the meeting and storms off. JR follows but Colby won't open up to him. She says she is nothing like the wacked-out alcoholics in the room - or him for that matter! She walks off.
Tad and Krystal take Colby home. She is wrecked because of Dre's arrest and Cassandra's breakdown. Krystal and Tad say she can get through this but Colby isn't so sure. She goes upstairs. As soon as they are alone, Tad asks Krystal how she could have kept Adam's secrets! She insists she was trying to help Colby and begged Adam over and over to go to the police. He reminds her how much Adam has hurt his other children and says she should have come to him. She says she didn't intend to help Adam but she didn't see another way to help Colby. Tad says she shouldn't have lied to him; she says she never lied! Tad steps back and says she may not have lied but she wasn't 100% truthful either. She says she loves him and will make this up to him. Tad reminds her of Adam's bad side and asks when she will open her eyes and see the real Adam. She says she'll prove that she can stay away from Adam - if he'll just give her another chance. Tad takes her in his arms and says she doesn't have to prove anything, she just needs to trust their love! Krystal suggests they let Colby move in. Tad agrees. Colby comes back downstairs as they are headed up to bed. When she is alone, she pours a drink. JR walks in and asks what she is doing! She admits she is drinking and JR drags her to an AA meeting.
