Is Brot Alive?

At the hospital, Jake tells Taylor that he has feelings for her that he can't hide. Taylor calls him a liar. He says she wants to go back to Iraq so she can die! She says she doesn't want to die but she feels useless here; Jake tells her about losing his friend in Africa. He apologizes for telling her but she says his experience is just like hers. She tells him about her last night with Brot – they danced and made love and danced. "I can still feel his hand on the small of my back," she says. She asks about Jake's marriage. He says they went to Africa to save the world but then she left him for a unibrowed guerilla. "You've seen the Cave Man Commercials?" Jake asks. The mystery man calls but Taylor is practically laughing so he just hangs up. Taylor and Jake talk and then she kisses him!

Manipulations Galore!

At the hospital, Jake wakes up to find Taylor watching him. She tells him to get out so she can rest. "Nope. I'm the doctor and I'm the boss of you and I say no sleep," Jake says! He brushes his teeth using his index finger and her water jug. Taylor tells him again to get out but Jake won't leave. He reminds her of their deal – he leaves when she is ready to work. Taylor tries to use the call button but Jake grabs it and unplugs it! He closes her blinds and says she doesn't need light if she is just going to let herself die. He turns on the television to a foreign station and they try to figure out what is going on. Jake decides they are fighting over a woman; Taylor thinks they are doctors fighting over a patient. After the show, Jake starts doing push-ups, trying to get Taylor interested in something. She brings up Amanda and he says they broke up – because of her!

Never Let Them See You're Upset!

At the hospital board meeting, David proposes the Babe Hayward Memorial Wing; both Angie and Jake point out that Babe went by the last name of Chandler but David says she was a Hayward. They don't like his plans but David plows right ahead. He says Jake should be ignored because he has put the hospital in jeopardy and then brings up Carolyn. Jake storms out.

Tad goes to Taylor's hospital room and finds her on the floor; he tries to help her but she pushes him away. She says she can handle this on her own. Jake walks in and is short with her; he says she doesn't have to be so independent and then walks out again. Taylor is shocked. Tad apologizes for Jake's shortness; Taylor says it doesn't matter. He sees how depressed she is and asks what is next. She says nothing.

Amanda finds Jake at the hospital but he is distracted with David and Taylor and puts her off. She says he should just concentrate on Taylor since she is the only woman he can think about and walks out! On her way out the door, she bumps into JR and he asks if she is okay. Amanda breaks down and says she is out of control and everything is wrong; she realizes JR's problems are worse that hers and apologizes. David sees them and watches. Amanda tells JR she'll be around if he needs a friend. He leaves. David follows Amanda and offers her a shoulder to cry on; she goes on about Babe and Jake. He says she wasted her time on Jake! She talks about Babe and offers him some of her pictures if he would like; they make plans to meet later. David leaves.

Joe catches up with Jake and says he defended him; Jake says he doesn't need his father fighting his battles. Joe asks if Jake is upset at David's plans or because David brought up Carolyn. Jake doesn't answer. Adam and JR walk in and ask what is going on; Joe explains. JR says he'll sue the hospital if they go along with David's plans.

Jake returns to Taylor's room. She tells him to leave but he says he won't go until she admits she wants to walk again.

I Want To Bring My Daughter Back!

At the hospital, Taylor kicks some workers out of her room. Jake hears her and asks Joe what is going on. Joe says Taylor won't let anyone near her so Jake walks in. Taylor is talking to her superior, telling him that she is fine. Jake asks why she is lying! He shows her the chart and she tosses it at the wall, saying he is fired! Jake refuses to leave; he says if Taylor would work with them they could fix her body. She says hospitals couldn't fix Brot and she hates hospitals. She rips off her covers and yells that she can't feel anything. "It doesn't matter if I try, I'm out! Medical. Discharge," she says. Jake says there is more to Taylor than soldiering; he asks what she had planned for the rest of her life once the war was over. Taylor takes a deep breath and says she would wait for more orders.

Joe, Angie and Jake meet with David about hiring a new cardiologist. Joe suggests David but Jake is adamantly opposed and Angie says they need to consider all of the ramifications. Joe says David is here and available and with Zach's lawsuit threat, they should consider David. He turns to David and asks if he'll take the job! "Your first wrong move, you're out the door," Joe says when David accepts. Joe leaves to talk to the board. Krystal arrives and asks what is going on; David tells him about the job offer and says he is going to prove to the town that he isn't out for revenge. Krystal says he is staying because of Little A and David admits she is right. Krystal says that won't happen because JR is leaving for San Diego right away. David can't believe it. He says JR is just running and then tells Krystal that JR is abandoning her – not him! Krystal says she will be fine and so will JR and Little A but David keeps manipulating her, telling her that she'll never see Babe's son again. "You have to stop this," he says.

Tad finds Jake at the hospital and asks about Taylor's prognosis. Jake says he doesn't know but that Taylor has given up. Jake thinks Tad is trying to butt into his life but Tad tells him about the emails and the strange man asking questions. Jake and Tad are both worried; Tad says they should talk to Taylor about this but Jake doesn't want to do that. Tad says the mystery man might be able to get through to Taylor!
