Bailed Out!

At BJ's, Jake says he won't move in with Greenlee. She refuses to give up on the idea and tells Jake all the ways she has changed since their last co-habitation. He says because of their history and his friendship with Aidan it isn't a good idea. She keeps pressing him and Jake finally gives in and says he'll be her roomie. Kendall calls to tell her Richie is out on bail and Greens begins to freak out. Jake holds her.

The Power Of The Fist Bump!

Jake sees Tad and Kathy at BJ's and joins them for lunch. Kathy shows him a picture she drew of her new family. Tad explains that Jake is Kathy's uncle. Kathy can't believe that Jake doesn't live in town and asks why.

With Kathy distracted by Colby, Tad tries to get to the heart of Jake's reluctance to stay in Pine Valley. Jake hems and haws and then says he isn't ready to work in a hospital because of the mistake he nearly made with Ryan. He says Africa is life and death and he can handle that much better. Tad can't believe how downtrodden Jake is. He wonders where his brother Jake went and who this stranger is. He advises Jake to stay in Pine Valley and regain his life. Colby brings Kathy back; she was worried that Tad might have left her. Tad says he will always be there and Jake says he'll stay, too. He gets coffee from the bar as Greenlee walks in. She asks about his plans and when he says he is staying, offers to let him move in with her!

Do You Want Me To Make Her Scream?

At the hospital, Ryan is getting ready for the memory procedure when Annie "remembers" leaving some materials at the printers and leaves. Jake walks up and says there could be a problem. He says Ryan could die from the procedure! Ryan is very disappointed but Jake says there are still some options open to him.

At the hospital, Jake runs into Frankie and asks him to take a case - a hooker who was beaten by a pimp. Frankie goes into the room and sees Randi there!

Erica's Back On Center Stage!

At the hospital, Frankie calls Randi as Jake walks in. Frankie tells him about his suspicions of Randi and Jake tells him about a woman in Africa who was beaten because she had daughters instead of sons. Jake warns Frankie not to let Randi mess up his life. Jake continues on his rounds. His first stop is Richie's room. Richie insists he is innocent but Jake doesn't believe him. Jake says they'll talk more when the DNA results are back and then leaves. A few minutes later Jake returns and says, "Your luck has just run out."

No Risk, No Reward!

Ryan is just finishing up an exam with Angie when Jake stops in. Angie tells Ryan she'll take another look at his file and tests to see if there is anything they can do. Jake says he may have an idea. He tells Ryan about a deep brain therapy that has been used with Alzheimer's patients to repair some memory function. Ryan is excited about the possibilities but Angie is more leery. Jake gives Ryan more information. Annoyed, Angie says Ryan should look at other options before he turns to surgery. Jake and Angie argue about what is best for him; Angie wonders if Jake is really worried about Ryan - or himself! They keep sniping at each other about the best course of action. Angie leads Jake into the hall, telling him not to give Ryan hope about an experimental procedure that may not happen. She reminds him that he isn't even a doctor at Pine Valley Memorial. Jake reminds her just who he is and warns her not to talk to him this way again! He walks off. Angie returns to Ryan and takes a blood sample, telling him the amnesia could be viral. Ryan asks about Jake's idea. Angie says it is something to look into but not something to jump into! "It could be fatal," she says and reminds him that a quick fix isn't the best option. Angie leaves. Jake returns and tells Ryan the surgery is a long shot but could be worth it. "No risk, no reward," Ryan says.

I Am The Queen!

At ConFusion, Greenlee and Jake have a drink. She brings up the past but Jake doesn't want to talk about anything deep. Soone, they are having a who-had-the-biggest-problems pity party and comparing their sob stories, taking shots of tequila between each bad thing. Jake finally gives in and says Greenlee has the biggest mess of a life. Both of them are drunk; Jake tries to encourage Greens but is distracted by how his hands move. After another drink, he goes to the bathroom. Josh walks in and Greenlee asks how much his life sucks. Josh notices the number of tequila glasses on the table and gets worried until Greens says Jake drank several of them. She goes on about her problems and then flirts with Josh. Jake returns and makes a paper crown for Greens and paper airplanes for herself. She goes on and on about her problems as Josh gets a little drunk with them. Greens finally admits she is jealous of Kendall. Both Josh and Jake tell her how much more she has than Kendall. They get the giggles when she finally says she has it all. Greens and Josh keep drinking but Jake has had enough.

I Still Hate Your Guts!

Joe and Jake have a drink together at Fusion. Joe admits how worried he was for Tad and how grateful he is that Jake is back. He asks him to come by the house for dinner but Jake turns him down. He says he has to return to Africa as soon as possible. Zach walks up and says he won't be returning to Africa - at least not as a Cambias employee! "If you go back to Africa, you're dead," he says! Zach explains about the rebel leader's death and the bounty now on Jake's head. That doesn't change Jake's mind. Joe angrily tells Jake to listen but Jake won't. Zach takes Jake aside to ask about Caroline but Jake won't talk about her either. In fact, he says his family doesn't need to know anything about Africa - or Caroline! Jake goes back to Joe, apologizes but says he can't stay away from Africa. He finally admits to Joe that he isn't with Caroline any longer. Joe leaves as Greenlee walks in. Jake tries to brush her off but Greens won't take no for an answer and sits down with him.

Visitation Day...

Aidan is walking the hospital halls when Jake finds him. Seeing how upset he is, Jake questions Aidan. He finally tells Jake about the broken engagement. They commiserate. Jake is down the hall when he finds JR and Babe arguing. JR asks Jake to tell Babe exactly how evil Adam is. Jake won't say anything. JR stuns Babe when he says Colby was supposed to be Jake's kid! Babe is horrified but JR just keeps talking about what Adam did. Jake stops JR, telling him that Colby doesn't know the truth and he doesn't want her to know. "Life is too short, JR," Jake says and walks off. JR follows Jake and brings up Jamie. Jake asks what is really going on with him. JR says he is just putting his life back together; he apologizes to Jake for bringing up Colby. Jake brushes off the apology and asks about Babe, wondering why JR is still chasing her instead of moving on with his life. Before JR can answer, Jake walks off.
