It's All An Illusion!

Amanda shows Jake to the cabin and tells him about her tom-boy days. He can't imagine her as anything other than the beautiful woman she is. He caresses her face and they make love.

Taylor goes for a jog but doesn't last long. She hears Jake thanking nature. Amanda shows up and they kiss. Taylor watches, annoyed.

Bright Ideas!

Jake sarcastically comments on Taylor's work out routine and she challenges him to a workout. Amanda walks in and watches as they push-up-to- the-death. Jake gives in before Taylor does and Amanda teases him. Taylor starts in on sit ups next. Amanda says she should make a work out video and Taylor runs for the shower. Jake opens Amanda's breakfast offering of pastries and says he is going to let Taylor have the apartment. Amanda says he could move into David's old cabin but Jake isn't sure about that. She plunges forward and decides to contact the real estate agent; she leaves. Taylor returns from her shower and asks about his plans; Jake tells her about Amanda's cabin idea and then brings up Iraq. Taylor says she wants to go back not to go to war but to help her fellow soldiers! "But why? For what? There is no just cause," Jake says. Taylor angrily says she is protecting the amazing people who are already there! Jake backs off and apologizes. He says he'll be around if her heel acts up again and leaves. The teapot begins to boil and Taylor has a war flashback. She struggles through it and turns off the pot, then leaves the apartment.

Zach catches up to her downstairs at ConFusion. She angrily tells him to stop following her but not talking to her. He grabs her and walks out. Babe, Amanda, Annie and Randi walk in, talking about the newer perfume. They brainstorm ideas and Amanda says they should call the fragrance Arabella, after Babe. They decide that is too long and decide on a shortened version - Bella! They decide to launch right there at ConFusion. Amanda spots Jake and corners him at the bar. With the others distracted, Annie calls Adam to report that she is back in the fold and getting a lot of information.

The Gauntlet Is Thrown!

Jake arrives at his new apartment, alone, but Taylor is already there. They both have signed leases for the same apartment! Jake decides to bunk at the hospital but Taylor says they are both adults and can cohabitate for one night - especially since she's perfectly safe with him! Jake wonders what she means. They talk about their work and he tells her about Doctors Without Borders; she asks about his love life and he says it is fine that Aidan loves Greens. Amanda interrupts with food and plants a juicy kiss on Jake. Amanda offers to let Jake stay with her on the yacht when she learns that Jake and Taylor are stuck in the same apartment. Jake isn't sure that is a good idea. Amanda kisses him, says the offer is open and leaves. Taylor asks Jake when he threw over Aidan for Amanda! It takes Jake a minute but then he realizes Taylor thought he was gay. Jake sets her straight and says he'll move in with Amanda. Taylor says she can handle a guy and lets him stay. She unpacks her Army uniform. Jake asks about her service and she says she is waiting to go back; he tells her not to take Frankie with him but Taylor says that is Frankie's decision. They argue about the war; Jake says Frankie has the right priorities - healing people. Taylor is offended and leaves the room. Later, Jake is nearly asleep when he hears Taylor having a nightmare.

Spy Games!

Amanda meets Jake at ConFusion dressed in the pirate costume. She has added a talking toy parrot to the get-up, which makes Jake laugh. He goes to get drinks and Annie sits down. She tells Amanda that they should all mutiny and start their own cosmetics company since they're doing all of Kendall and Greenlee's work anyway! Amanda tells Annie she is on a date and doesn't want to talk business but Annie pushes the matter. Amanda makes the parrot tell Annie to back off. Jake returns and Annie leaves; he asks about her and Amanda tells him about the day. He says Annie's weirdness is understandable considering the stress her brother put her under. They chat about childhood foibles and laugh a lot. Jake says he's rusty at dating but he's having a good time; Amanda says she is having a great time, too. She asks him to stick around for some dancing but Jake has to go look at a new apartment. He says they'll do this again soon. They leave together.

Annie Quits!

Jake is whining about his homelessness at the hospital when Aidan calls. Taylor, across the hall, hears him talking to Aidan and calling him sweetheart. She thinks he is gay! A nurse shows Taylor into an exam room; Jake arrives to look her over! He checks out her feet and says she should take better care of herself by not running outdoors so much. He tries to smooth things over by saying he wasn't flirting with her; she says she understands that now. Jake continues his exam. Jake finally gets to the problem area - her heel. Jake says he's had the same ailment but he believes she may be in real trouble because her ligaments could be involved. He suggests an anti-inflammatory and leads her into the hall. She tries to hide her limp. A nurse tells Jake a hottie dropped off his box. "He's spoken for," Jake says. Taylor takes the prescription and leaves with the nurse. She asks the nurse about confidentiality and is reassured that the Army won't find out about her foot problem. Jake checks in with the nurse and decides to take on another shift. Joe overhears. He insists that Jake go ahead with his original plans. Jake says he can't let a friend down; Joe says he'll take the shift. "Just be Jake," he says.

Get Outta Town!

At the penthouse, Greenlee realizes that Jake is packing to move. He sees her romantic dinner and tries to help since she isn't a cook. Greens reminds him that he doesn't have to rush away but he says it is time to move on. He helps her with some more dinner preparations and they have a glass of wine. He says he'll stay in a hotel for a while but that he is leaving town - very soon. She says he is running and suggests that he think about what he really wants and fight for it. Greens says she knows of a great apartment if he'll stay; he says he'll think about it. Greenlee says Pine Valley needs him and he leaves. Jack arrives and Greenlee, thinking he is Aidan, opens the door with her dress undone. She laughs and he closes his eyes while she fixes herself up. Greenlee asks what is going on with Carmen. He says he is finally over Erica and that it's nice to be around a woman without an agenda. Jack changes the subject and Greens tells him about Aidan's house plans. She quickly turns the tables and says he needs to ask Carmen out on a real date. He says he did but Carmen hasn't answered yet. She convinces him to call her and not hang up without a yes. Jack leaves. Greenlee realizes her fondue is burning - so dinner is off. She gets another idea. Aidan arrives home and finds a trail of breadcrumbs leading up to Greenlee - dressed in lingerie - on the buffet table!

Why? Why? Why?

Amanda walks in to Fusion to find a note from Randi about morning snacks. Jake walks in as Amanda is moving a huge bouquet of flowers for Kendall. She pokes her eye accidentally and Jake comes to her rescue. He flirts with her a little bit and she flirts back. He puts a patch on her eye and says she should see an eye doctor. Amanda makes awful pirate noises as she bumps into chairs and desks. Jake brings up his real reason for stopping by - a donation request for Kendall from Doctors Without Borders. He asks how she is doing and Amanda says she is fine but overworked. She tells him about Greenlee's impromptu wedding in Vegas. Babe arrives, ready to get to work and asks what happened to Amanda. She tells her and asks for vacation time. Babe says there is no way she can spare her. Jake leaves but says she can call on him if she feels worse. Babe asks if she really hurt herself. She says she did. Since they are alone, Amanda and Babe talk about their secret project, eager to get something going without Kendall and Greens. They get to work and soon realize that Kendall and Greenlee really dropped the ball in the last week; they spend a lot of time putting out fires. JR arrives as Amanda leaves to create some last minute reports. He tells Babe to imagine herself in the boss's seat. She says she isn't ready for it yet. He says she deserves more than she is getting and asks her to trust him. Amanda returns after nearly hitting a bus bench because her depth perception is ruined. JR teases her about the patch and leaves. Amanda asks Babe if they have time for the secret project now.

At the hospital, Jake is short with Joe. He questions Jake, who clams up. Joe pushes and Jake says he isn't used to checking in and that he just learned that Greenlee eloped and he'll probably have to move. Joe offers to open his old room but Jake turns him down. Jake gets to work but is quickly frustrated and leaves.
