Cassandra and Frankie go to Colby and Dre's table. Colby invites them to sit down and Cassandra begs Frankie to stay with the two other kids. Finally, Frankie and Dre go to get drinks. Colby lets Cassandra know she is just Dre's friend. Cass says it doesn't matter because she isn't interested in dating. The four of them go to the patio. Dre and Cassandra are instantly attracted; Colby invites Cassandra to come hear Dre play sometime. Frankie tells them about Cass's poetry; Colby suggests they get together to make music. Frankie and Dre have to go so Colby takes Cassandra with her. Frankie warns Dre away from Cassandra.
At the hospital, Frankie is giving Jesse a physical. He takes some vital statistics while Jesse tells him how proud he is. Jesse jokes about his physical health as Frankie opens the back of his gown and sees the scarring there. Jesse says it doesn't matter now. Frankie asks what he plans to do now that he's free; Jesse says he'll make Angie happy. They start talking about the wedding. Jesse asks him to be the best man. Frankie says he won't wear a tux. Julia arrives. Jesse asks about Kathy and then Julia wheels him to X-Ray. When Jesse returns, Frankie pronounces him 100% healthy.
Cassandra is sketching when Angie comes in to check on her. Since she's been in several times now, Cass asks what is going on. Angie asks if she is adjusting to Jesse and his similarities to Jacob. Cass says she'll get used to it. As they chat about the wedding, Angie asks if Cassandra will be her maid of honor. She wonders if that would hurt Jacob. Angie insists that Jacob wouldn't mind and says she loved Jacob. They talk about love. Cass fakes her out but then says she hasn't been in love. She jokes about having friends-with-benefits, annoying Angie. She finally admits she is waiting for love. Then, she agrees to be the maid of honor. Angie leaves. Cassandra tells her love-life problems to the elephant, wondering if she'll ever love anyone the way Angie loves Jesse. Frankie arrives to take her to lunch. Once they are along, Angie and Jesse realize the wedding plans are coming along - and that they're alone. They make love.
Dre meets Colby at The Comeback. She asks how his trip with Sam went; he says he was just tagging along while his father campaigned. He believes his father is lonely. Colby asks about girls on Dre's radar but he says there is no one. Colby admits that she has it bad for Frankie but that he doesn't see her at all. Frankie and Cassandra arrive; she can't take her eyes off of Dre!
Cassandra says she has thought of Jesse as a hero but now she can see he's also just a normal guy. Jesse says he has a few stories about her, too, and things settle down as they all get acquainted. In her room, Cassandra makes Frankie promise not to do anything crazy - like joining the Army and going to Iraq - again! Angie leaves to check on Jesse's dinner-making skills. Alone, Frankie says Jesse is the best medicine for Angie. He asks about Jacob and Cassandra says his music career is going well. She won't let him see her poems or sketches, insisting that the more adventures she has the better artist she will be. Back in the kitchen, Angie breaks down a little because their family is whole again. The mail arrives and Jesse learns he is officially back from the dead - complete with a back taxes request from the IRS and a driver's license. Angie says the only thing missing is a marriage certificate. The kids come in and Angie asks them to take part in the wedding.
Jesse, Angie and Frankie are preparing their apartment for Cassandra's arrival. Jesse is nervous about meeting her. Angie leaves. Jesse makes a mess in the kitchen; Frankie gives him some pointers on how to interact with Cassandra. Jesse is sure things will be fine because he already loves Cassandra. Frankie says things won't be that simple because Cassandra is 18 and has all the "issues" that teenage girls usually have - like being annoying as often as possible!
At the airport, Cassandra runs straight to Angie. She is ready to get back home but Cassandra hangs back. She is worried about meeting Jesse and wonders how Angie could have fallen for him - again! - so quickly. Angie says she never got over Jesse and they leave for home. When they arrive, Cassandra and Frankie hug and then Cassandra looks at Jesse and says, "You're him!"
When Jesse's coffin is opened the only thing inside is an old stuffed toy of Frankie's that has been ripped open! Frankie remembers getting the toy the day Jesse was shot and says he placed it on the coffin at the funeral. Angie starts to freak out. Jesse calms her down but then asks Tad why Papel would have the toy ripped up and placed in the coffin. None of them notice Rob is still watching them. Jesse turns back to the grave marker and promises to have it destroyed very soon. They leave but Tad stays behind. He goes to Dixie's grave and apologizes for not being able to find Kate. He asks for her guidance. He returns home to find Jesse and crew waiting with Krystal. Rob arrives. Tad tells him to get out; Rob drops his keys and plants a bug before leaving. Angie confesses that the toy Frankie threw into the grave wasn't the toy from Jesse! She switched toys; Rob is listening. Krystal and Jesse ask where the real toy is. Angie remembers she gave the toy to Cassandra but doesn't remember if Cassandra kept it or gave it away. Jesse thinks they have to find the toy. Tad agrees to help. Angie tells Jesse to stop obsessing and seeing how upset she is he says he'll back off. Cassandra calls and announces that she is going to come for a visit! Angie is excited and Cassandra says she'll be there tomorrow.
Jesse gives Angie one last chance to go home but she refuses. Tad arrives. None of them notice that Robert has arrived and is watching them. By phone, he tells the diamond brokers he'll have more rocks soon. Rob pulls a gun and watches as the crews begin digging. Angie has a bad feeling that whatever is dug up will change their lives for the worse! Jesse is focused on the coffin and what might be inside. Frankie goes to reassure Angie. The coffin is finally raised to ground level. They cops open it up. "Oh my," Angie says in horror.
Angie and Jesse are talking at home when Frankie comes in. He tells them about his day and then says he'd like to be called Franklin from now on. Jesse puts a damper on Frankie's day when he says they are digging up the coffin. The three of them arrive at the cemetery as Tony, the lead forensics investigator, puts up the yellow tape. Frankie steps under the tape and remembers the day of the funeral. "I wanted to go with you," he says. Frankie flashes back to the day he asked Angie if it was okay to cry. Angie takes Frankie's hand and says he helped her come back to life after Jesse was gone. Then she turns to Jesse, thanking him again for coming back to her. The three of them look across the cemetery and see Dixie's grave. They walk over as Angie tells Jesse a little about Dixie. Tony returns and explains how the exhumation will work. Angie wants to go but Jesse wants to stay so she stays. They hold hands and Angie prays for strength.
