At Randi's, Frankie tells Randi that he beat up Fletcher because he was endangering Cassandra. He goes to wash the blood off his hands. Randi calls another prostitute who says Fletcher is being taken to the hospital. She is relieved, which upsets Frankie. She angrily says she is relieved because she doesn't want him going to jail because of Fletcher! Randi comes on to Frankie, kissing his hands and placing his hands on her body! She starts to undress and Frankie stops her. He says she doesn't owe him anything - and when they do make love, it will be because they both want it and not because she feels like she owes him. He leaves.
Frankie swears to Angie that he'll take care of Fletcher. Angie warns him not to do anything crazy. Frankie reminds Angie of her own history working with prostitutes and AIDS victims; Angie says Randi isn't the same as the women she helped. Then he brings up Jesse and compares him to Randi! She tells him again to be careful and leaves the apartment.
Frankie finds Fletcher at a bar and immediately begins beating him up! He tells Fletcher to stay away from Angie, from Cassandra and from Randi - or he'll kill him!
Frankie finds Randi at BJ's and asks why she left the shelter. She says Fletcher found her. This upsets Frankie but Randi says it was no big deal. He says she can return to the shelter because he told the workers about Fletcher and they'll be on the lookout from now on. He tries to get through to her but she is convinced Fletcher is right and she is trash. She warns him to steer clear of Fletcher. Frankie leaves. Randi pays the bill. Fletcher texts her, saying, "U can run but U can't hide."
Cassandra returns home after babysitting. Angie is there and hugs her. Cass tells her about the weird guy she thinks is following her around. Angie is worried. Frankie walks in and asks for a description. He believes the guy following Cass is Fletcher!
Frankie overhears Randi talking to a job counselor at an office. She doesn't want to provide the information they need and walks away but Frankie stops her. She tells him she doesn't need his help but Frankie won't stop pressing her. She finally agrees to answer the questions so Frankie goes through the application with her. She says she is 22, has no family and no job skills. He asks how she got started with hooking. She says it just happened. She calls Fletcher her protector. Frankie looks at her sympathetically and she angrily says she isn't a victim! Frankie keeps pushing her and realizes she was a sexual abuse victim as a child. She refuses to talk about her past any longer. Frankie tells her she isn't a victim but she has to face the past to fully move on. She says she has to finish the forms so Frankie leaves.
Fletcher shows up at Angie’s apartment and asks for Randi. She tells him off; he pretends not to be a pimp but she doesn’t buy his explanations. “You will not put your hands on another woman again,” she says, telling him that Jesse is the police chief and he better stay away. She starts to slam the door but Fletcher won’t let her. Frankie comes in and scares Fletcher away. He is satisfied but Angie isn’t. She says Fletcher never would have been there if Frankie hadn’t brought Randi to their home! Frankie wants to go after Randi but Angie explodes in anger. She tells him to forget about Randi and move on with his life because Randi and Fletcher are too dangerous. Frankie can’t give up on her, though. Angie says he can’t save Randi unless she wants to be saved.
Angie can’t believe Frankie brought Randi to her home and says it is completely the wrong thing. Randi makes things worse by saying she didn’t want to come there anyway. Angie and Frankie argue about what happens next. Angie says Randi needs a place to go that isn’t Angie’s home; Randi says she wouldn’t care if Randi had a more pristine past. Angie walks out of Cass’s room. Frankie follows her, saying she needs to let him make his own decisions. She says he is off base with Randi. Randi comes from the bedroom and says she is leaving. Frankie tries to stop her but she won’t listen. When he returns to Angie, she says Randi can stay. He says it is too late.
At home, Frankie rages a little about Fletcher being released from jail. He says the man should be locked up for good and won't listen when Jesse and Angie tell him to let things play out. Angie finishes up breakfast preparations at the apartment as she and Jesse talk about the Novak case. Jesse questions her about the cause of death and wonders what caused the blunt force trauma. After breakfast, Jesse works in his home office. He has Richie's cell phone records and calls the last number Richie called - it's Annie! She asks what he wants and he explains. He asks about the last time Richie called her and realizes that he called Annie before and after the movie she supposedly saw - and also just after Richie hit her in the head at the motel! He says they need to talk.
Frankie goes to the hospital. Randi still wants to leave but he wants to keep her in the hospital because of her blood pressure. She says he can't keep her because without insurance the hospital wants her gone. He asks where she'll go and she says she can stay with friends. He offers to find a shelter but she says it won't work. Angie arrives to dismiss Randi. She warns Randi to make changes and stay away from Fletcher or she could wind up dead. Frankie comes back in and says he can help her with a place to stay. Randi reluctantly agrees to go with him. Angie returns and asks about Randi. Frankie says he checked her out. Angie reminds him that he is only Randi's doctor, not her psychiatrist. Frankie admits that he helped Randi find a place, upsetting Angie. She tells him to get back to work.
