Damage Control!

At the police station, Randi tells Jesse that Taylor saved her life. After the questioning, they return to the outer office. Jesse leads Taylor into the interrogation room as Frankie says Taylor looked just like she did in Iraq after the attack. Taylor tells Jesse she had no choice but to kill Fletcher at first but he keeps questioning her. She finally admits that she may have overreacted but as soon as she does, Jesse says Fletcher would have killed her and then Randi if she didn't stop him. He says this is a clear cut case of self-defense. Taylor is worried about the Army finding out and Jesse promises not to tell if they don't ask. Taylor walks back into the squad room; Randi hugs her. Frankie tells Randi he'll take her home and she agrees. Jake tries to talk to Taylor but she leaves.

Bella Is Launched!

At the police station, Frankie questions Jesse about Fletcher's case. Jesse doesn't have any news, angering Frankie. He wants this case to be Jesse's top priority. Jesse says all of the cases warrant attention and swears the cops are on top of things. Frankie leaves for the party. Soon after, Jesse gets the medical examiner's report and learns that the blood on the lug wrench was Richie's. This confirms that the kids are in the clear. He says the next step is to connect the wrench to Annie. Another officer says that won't be easy!

It's All An Illusion!

Frankie goes home; Jesse is there and he tells Jesse about the payoff demands. Jesse can't believe it. Frankie says he has gotten used to taking care of his own problems. Jesse takes charge and says they'll have Fletcher arrested and put Randi in protective custody. Frankie says this could ruin Randi's new outlook and Jesse promises to keep things quiet. He leaves.

Bright Ideas!

Angie is thinking about Cassandra when Jesse sees her at home. He asks her to talk to him but is called away on police business. His crew found the lug wrench! He leaves and his phone rings. Angie answers but there is no one there.

Jesse gets to the hospital test lab with the wrench. A doctor takes the wrench for testing. Jesse gets a hang up call. Angie walks up and says she got a hang up at the house, too. Jesse starts to worry but says it is just the case. Angie asks who his suspects are if it turns out that Richie was killed with the wrench. Jesse won't say. He leaves a while later.

Angie returns home to find Jesse preparing dinner. They talk about old times and Angie asks about the past 20 years. Jesse doesn't want to talk about it but she says they have to. Jesse will only say he was happiest when he was dreaming of her. She asks why he can't look at her. Jesse says he just doesn't like remembering those days. Angie puts on a negligee and goes to the bedroom. Jesse gets another call but no one says anything. "This is you, isn't it?" he asks!

Who Loves You More?

In her bedroom, Dre tells Cassandra that they can make it on their own. She is excited but scared about their plans because Dre will be skipping out on his bail. Dre says they'll manage and that his father will be fine. Cassandra prepares herself and then goes to talk to Angie and Jesse. She thanks them for being there for her and then says Dre will take her to the airport. Jesse says he'll make sure Dre isn't convicted of Richie's murder. He gives Cassandra a family portrait and hugs her. Angie breaks down. Cass says she won't be gone forever but Angie feels like this goodbye is permanent. They each say, "I love you," and then Cassandra returns to her room. She sees Dre at the window and breaks down. She says she can't leave her family like this but then tries to convince herself that Angie will survive. Dre takes the portrait and says she can't leave her family and he has to trust his father. She says Jesse is on his side, too. They hug.

Spy Games!

At BJ's, Frankie dodges Randi's questions about her friend. Jesse walks in and Frankie says this is a great opportunity. Randi doesn't want to talk to Jesse about her new start but Frankie insists. When he sits down, Frankie tells him what great strides Randi is making; Jesse says this is a great opportunity to get to know the real Randi and offers to buy them dinner. As they eat, they talk about Randi's job. Jesse is very interested when she says Annie just quit. He leaves a little while later. Randi asks Frankie what this dinner meeting was really about. He says he was just trying to help. She brings up Fusion and her insecurities about the job because of Kendall and the modeling ideas. He says she'll be fine.

In the bathroom, Annie splashes her face with water and Richie appears. He tells her she has to take action before someone else does. Annie tells him to go away but Richie keeps pressing her to take action. Annie returns to the bar but doesn't notice Jesse watching her. When she leaves, he follows.

Get Outta Town!

Angie tries to cheer up Jesse but he can't forget what Cassandra said about Frankie and he thinks she might be right! He says he should have been more understanding with Cass; Angie says he was fine and offers to talk to her. She goes to Cass's room; she is packing. She insists on leaving and won't listen to Angie. Angie grabs her and says she isn't allowed to run - she has to stand and fight. Cass says they are a family - she is an outsider. No matter what Angie says, Cassandra can't believe that Jesse loves her or that she belongs with them. Angie begs her to reconsider but Cass refuses. They go back to Jesse, who says he has cleared things with the DA. Cassandra apologizes for being so difficult and then hurries off to see Dre one last time. Angie is heartbroken that she is leaving town. She says she didn't realize how tough this would be for Cass; Jesse says Cassandra will be fine. Angie says he doesn't get it - she has been trying to control their family from the beginning and she's afraid she has gone too far. She goes on and on about the error of her ways. Jesse says she didn't do anything wrong. Angie emotionally says they can't be the same people they were 20 years ago!
