A Declaration of Love!

Krystal is walking in the park when she hears a noise and she bumps into Rob! He introduces himself and apologizes for bumping into her. Krystal is relieved but still unsettled. She walks to Tad's office and Jesse leaps into a corner to hide. Krystal tells them about Rob. "He gave me the creeps," Krystal says and finally realizes the connection between Rob and Ray. Tad brings up the increased traffic at the office and says they need to find a safer place for Jesse to hide. Jesse says leaving town is the best option but Tad disagrees and changes the subject back to Remy. Angie remembers that Remy's mother lived around Pine Valley and says she'll go to talk to the woman.

Kendall Attacks Her Stalker!

At Tad's office, Jesse insists that it is time for him to run again. Tad and Angie angrily tell him that he can't run away this time so Jesse says he will make it known to anyone and everyone that he is still alive so that his captors will try to catch him again. Tad objects to that plan, too, telling Jesse that one funeral was more than enough. Jesse starts to pack, ignoring Tad's and Angie's pleas to stop. Angie points out Tad's family and Frankie could also be in danger. This only makes Jesse more certain that running is the answer. Angie brings up John Remington again and suggests that might be the trail to follow. Someone knocks on the door; Jesse and Angie hide.

Annie Gambles With Her Future

In the store room Angie and Jesse are searching for any reference to his shooting and care 20 years ago when Tad walks in, startling them. All three begin searching but they don't find anything. Tad leaves to check on something else; Angie and Jesse keep searching. Jesse finds some paper from the day after his admission but there is no information anywhere about Jesse's shooting or his death. Jesse becomes very nervous and they leave for Tad's office. He tries to figure out who would have taken his records. As they are talking, Jesse hears a noise outside but when he checks there is no one there. Jesse brings up the past, trying to ease Angie's fears. He talks about the beginning of their romance and is blown away that Angie loves him now the way she loved him then. Angie returns to the subject at hand and suggests that his file was just misplaced. Jesse doesn't believe that for a second.

Tad finds one of the security guards and asks if he can look through the security tape from the past few weeks. The guard says no so Tad bribes him! Tad goes through the DVD recordings and realizes that there are a lot of holes. He goes to his office and tells Angie and Jesse that someone got to the surveillance DVDs ahead of them!

A Few New Worries

Angie returns to the cabin with a bag of groceries and calls to Jesse. He asks why she came back, reminding her it isn't safe. "You have got to stop coming out here," he says. Angie ignores the request and unloads her bag of goodies. She will only promise to be careful. Hungry, Jesse plows through the food and is excited for some of Angie's mac-n-cheese. Angie brings up Remy and tells him about the questions Derek asked. Jesse is partially relieved and partially worried that Derek didn't bring him up at all. Angie offers to talk to Derek again but Jesse is afraid the cop will become suspicious. Angie leaves to meet Joe at the hospital. Jesse kisses her goodbye as someone approaches the cabin! Jesse grabs a bat and nearly beans Tad! Angie leaves. Tad stays behind to show Jesse the information he has found so far. Jesse is excited at what Tad has turned up but also wants more. Tad tells Jesse to stop thinking like a man on the run and start thinking like the cop he is.

Tad arrives at the hospital a short time later and tells Angie that Jesse is holding up well. She says she isn't as patient as he and Jesse are. Tad tells her not to give up hope and leaves. Angie decides to have a look at the files - and finds Jesse already there! "Great minds think alike," she says and they begin to go through some of the old filing boxes.

New Beginnings Is Over!

Angie and Jesse are ready to leave the cabin when Derek calls to ask her about Remy. Angie says she hasn't seen him in years and can't help. When they hang up she turns to Jesse and tells him about dating Remy all those years ago. As much as Jesse hates the idea of them dating, especially since the bullet he took was intended for Remy, he tries to be understanding. The more Jesse thinks about it, the more certain he is that Remy could have had something to do with Jesse's "death". Angie can't remember anything strange or unusual that happened when they were together at first but then she does remember that their house was broken into a few weeks after she broke things off with Remy. Jesse goes for a walk and when he returns Angie has candles lit. Taking her hands, Jesse worries that his "death" and Remy's murder may be connected. Angie tries to remember more about the burglary but can't. She suggests that they tell Derek everything they know. Jesse tells her to talk to Derek alone but advises her not to bring up him at all. They make love. Jesse has a nightmare about his torture.

Somebody's Spying On Pine Valley

Jesse steps forward to talk with Frankie but Frankie isn't so sure he wants to talk to his father after all this time. Angie asks him to give Jesse a chance and they go inside together. Angie waits with Krystal and Tad outside. Inside, Jesse explains that he never wanted them to know he was alive. Frankie angrily asks why Jesse abandoned them in the first place. Jesse tries to explain that his death was faked and that he was kidnapped but when he can't explain why they wanted him, Frankie doubts Jesse's story. Jesse continues with his explanations and Frankie realizes he is telling the truth. He is still angry, though. "We needed you," he says, "and you weren't there." Frankie demands to know exactly what happened but Jesse won't tell him. Frankie slaps Jesse and then hugs him.

Outside, Angie paces. Tad tells her to calm down and asks how she is reacting to everything. Angie feels like she is in a dream. She thanks both of them for what they have done. Angie tells Tad that Jesse has given a few hints but not the whole story. She believes the men who took Jesse did it because of her! They wait a while longer. Krystal tells Tad how lucky she feels to have him and wonders if things will work out this time for the Hubbard's. All three go inside. Jesse insists that they let him go but Tad and the others stand firm and tell him they won't let him go alone. Jesse angrily says he won't let them be hurt because of him. "Don't you dare tell me what I need," Angie says when Jesse insists on leaving them again. He starts to walk out but Angie grabs him, forcing him to listen to her this time around. Frankie, Tad and Krystal all say he deserves a second chance and should let them help. Crying, Jesse says he doesn't want to take chances with her life or with Frankie's. "Okay," he whispers and then pulls Angie and Frankie into his arms.

Only Erica Could Get Arrested in a Ball Gown

Jesse tries to leave the cabin but Angie, crying, locks the door and asks him what happened 20 years ago. She lights a candle as Jesse sits down. He tells her what he remembers about "dying". "I woke up in this room, not dead, and tied up," he says. Jesse remembers being questioned by strangers about things he never knew the answers to and being beaten when he couldn't answer. He says he can't trust the rest of the world to keep her safe and that if she knows any more she could be hurt. He holds her as she cries. Angie lifts his shirt and sees some of the scars on his back. Jesse picks up his coat but Angie grabs it from him. Unable to resist her, Jesse kisses her. Before it can go further Jesse backs away, telling Angie this isn't a safe place any more. She tells him the cabin is always their safe place and begs him to stay with her for the night. Jesse gives in and they make love. After, Angie gently touches Jesse's back and asks what happened.
