Ryan and Greenlee rush into the apartment and find Annie, shot, on the floor! She is shot in the arm and Ryan revives her. She says a masked man shot her and ran; Ryan takes off after the man. Greenlee is about to call the police when Annie stops her. She says Greenlee is going to get Emma killed! Ryan returns and insists on taking Annie to the hospital.
Frankie checks out Annie and says the wound will heal. Ryan says the shooting was an accident; Frankie wants to call the cops but Annie says they can't call in the cops because Emma will be in danger. Ryan says they have no choice; Frankie tells Greenlee where to find Jesse. Frankie leaves. Annie says they could have signed Emma's death warrant! Ryan's phone rings and the kidnapper says they were lucky – this time. Ryan asks where Emma is. The kidnapper gives him directions. When Greenlee returns with Jesse, Ryan and Annie are gone.
You Killed My Wife!
At the apartment, Annie worries because the kidnapper hasn't called. Greenlee says they need to call the police but Annie doesn't like that. Just then the kidnapper calls with an address; Ryan writes down the instructions. He tells the kidnapper they won't hand over the cash unless they need Emma; the kidnapper hangs up! Greenlee convinces Ryan to let Aidan help them bug the money. He leaves. Annie angrily tells Greenlee she knows what Greenlee is up to – making sure Emma never comes home! She tells Greenlee that she sees through her act and tells her to get out. Greenlee goes to the hall. Annie picks up the bag of money and directions and sneaks out the back! Ryan returns and takes Greenlee back inside – they realize Annie and the money are gone! They hurry to catch up with her.
Will You Save My Daughter?
Greenlee goes to the penthouse; Aidan is there. She tells him about Kendall and he tells her about Emma. Greens thanks Aidan for helping but he says Ryan has kicked him out of the investigation. Greenlee can't believe Ryan would do that. Aidan says Ryan is risking Emma's life!
Ryan and Annie get to the apartment and his banker says he can't free up the $10 million for several weeks but Ryan can have $2 million. Annie says she'll give up her 401K and Ryan angrily tells her to be quiet so he can think. He apologizes. Annie asks if they can go to Zach but Ryan says they can't bother Zach with Kendall in the shape she is in. She grabs the phone to call him anyway and he grabs it away from her. Greenlee arrives and asks if she can help. Ryan says they have things under control but Annie butts in and asks if Greenlee has $8 million so they can come up with the full ransom amount. Greenlee says she'll do it! She calls her banker and Ryan returns with a bag for the cash. He insists on going with her, which annoys Annie. Greenlee and Ryan return a while later; Annie is asleep so they go to the terrace to talk. Ryan says he wants peace for everyone – including them. Annie wakes and sees them outside.
Angie Meets Rebecca!
In Kendall's room, Greenlee tells Zach to go home to the boys but he won't leave Kendall's side. Greens tells him that he can't leave the boys alone, no matter how much he wants to stay with Kendall. She promises to keep the vigil at her bedside so that he can spend a little time with the boys. Zach says he won't stay home long. He goes to Kendall's side and says she'll be home to give the boys goodnight kisses soon. Greenlee tells Kendall to wake up because Zach can't handle all of this. She holds Kendall's hands and then the monitors begin beeping crazily!
Zach and Binks get to the house. Bianca says Reese will be here soon with Miranda. The baby is a little fussy; Zach asks if he can hold her and Bianca gives him the baby. Greenlee calls and says Kendall's heart has stopped!
Vigil With Kendall.
Aidan and Greenlee sit with Bianca’s baby in her hospital room and Greenlee talks about how their life together could have been different. Aidan asks what’s the point of talking about something that is never going to happen? He says there are other things to think about now. Kendall’s fighting for her life and Emma has disappeared. Greens asks Aidan to help find Emma. He says he’ll say a few prayers for Kendall.
Annie and Ryan arrive at the hospital and run into Greenlee. Greenlee is compassionate about the disappearance of Emma, but Annie is cold and uninterested in her feelings. Ryan leaves and Greenlee apologizes to Annie. Annie is angry that Greenlee stole her husband and left Emma without a father.
Babe Dies!
While Greenlee and Bianca are in her room, she tells Greenlee that she blames herself for Kendall’s injuries because Kendall was trying to save her life. They talk about the last year and Bianca says she knows everything that happened when Greenlee and Zach were trapped underground. Greenlee tells Bianca that she and Kendall are closer than ever. Zach shows up and asks how Bianca and the baby are doing. Joe Martin comes in to say that Erica is alright. Zach tells Joe to take Jake off the case or he will make a bigger storm for Pine Valley than they’ve ever seen! He says that Jake wanted to play God. Zach talks to the boys and says everything is going to be alright. He takes them to meet their new baby cousin. He suggests the four of them choose a cool name for the baby. A nurse arrives to tell Zach that Kendall has been moved to ICU. He leaves with the boys. Greenlee offers to watch the baby if Bianca wants to go too. Aidan walks in and Greenlee explains who the baby is. He asks where Ryan is. She says with Annie. Greens says she is worried about Kendall.
