At the office, Tad says he can see that things aren't as perfect as the picture Aidan is trying to paint and asks again what is really going on. Aidan finally says he was in a very bad place while Greenlee and Zach were missing. He tells Tad about the night he and Kendall went searching together and how desperate they were. Then he tearfully tells Tad that they had grief sex. Tad warns Aidan that Zach can never know, then says Greenlee shouldn't be told either. Greenlee walks in and asks what she shouldn't be told about. Tad keeps quiet; Aidan says there are things she shouldn't know. Greenlee doesn't catch on to the tension in the room and believes he is talking about the wedding. She says she wants to get married as soon as possible. The three of them toast with Greenlee's concoction of champagne and stout, making Tad choke. Greenlee starts rambling about the wedding plans and all the people she is going to invite - specifically Kendall and Zach.
At the PI office, Aidan and Greenlee make love on the pool table. She happily pronounces her new name - Mrs. Greenlee Devane - excited at the prospect of marrying him. Aidan kisses her and reaches for the engagement ring, still in his jacket pocket. After placing it on her finger, they both say, "I love you." Then Greenlee says she needs time to plan a huge wedding and suggests that Zach and Kendall be their attendants! He doesn't like the idea and tries to change the subject but Greenlee pushes him to allow Kendall to be his "best woman" and Zach to be her "man of honor". He says he had something more traditional in mind. Tad walks in and starts wise-cracking about how they spent the night. Greenlee hurries off to get dressed while Aidan tells him about the engagement. He asks Tad to give him away! Tad laughs and then asks about the wedding plans. Aidan asks Tad to help him plan an elopement. Tad asks what is really going on.
Livia stops by Fusion to check on Annie. She happily says the divorce is off - at least for now! Livia leaves. Annie is studying a picture of her and Ryan when Greenlee happily marches in. Annie more or less ignores her, only giving her the barest of details about the other women. Seeing that she only has Annie to celebrate with, Greenlee pulls out a bottle of champagne and tells her about Aidan. As she twitters on about her wedding plans, Annie warns her to watch out because someone might crash it. Still upset over Ryan, Annie asks what happens when she becomes bored with Aidan - will she decide to mess with Ryan again? Greenlee fires back that she has no doubts about Aidan. Annie tells her about Aidan's drunken visit and asks what is really going on. She wonders if Greenlee accepted Aidan's proposal because Ryan sent her away - again! Just then Ryan arrives.
Aidan is startled when he arrives at the PI office and finds it unlocked. Greenlee is inside, in a 1940's get-up. "I need your help. I've lost my man," she says! Aidan isn't interested in her games and tries to push her away but Greenlee just keeps talking, enticing him. He starts playing along, pretending to be a PI from a movie. He asks if she is really over her ex and she swears she is. She starts to cry when he pushes her, saying he doesn't believe she is over Ryan. He gives her a tissue and tells her to get out! He says he is done with her games, angering Greens. She takes off her hat, pulls her hair down and unbuttons her blouse! Aidan can't take it and kisses her passionately. They make love and Greenlee says she'll marry him!
Greenlee arrives at ConFusion, surprised that Zach came. She asks for his help in winning the heart of her true love. He says he isn't sure Ryan is right for her but Greens stops him and says her true love is Aidan! Zach asks why she wants Aidan and questions her commitment. The more he questions her motives the more upset Greenlee becomes. Zach reminds her of what she said in the bomb shelter - that she is always trying to fill her mental house. He wonders if Aidan is just a fill-in because Ryan doesn't want her anymore! Greens angrily says that in the bomb shelter the only man she wanted was Aidan. Zach says that doesn't change the fact that she's been ignoring Aidan in favor of Ryan. Greenlee is hurt and Zach finally backs off. He says he'll do what he can. As they chat, Greenlee comes up with a plan to win Aidan back. She texts Aidan and ignores Zach. When she is done, she thanks him.
In another area of ConFusion, Ryan is stunned that Annie has had divorce papers drawn up. He says he'll go along with whatever Annie wants. The nicer he is the more upset Annie becomes until she can't take it any longer. She says she can't bear to think about her life without him but she also can't stand to be with him when he doesn't remember her. She asks what he really wants and Ryan says he just wants to move on with his life, memories or not. Finally, he asks Annie not to file the divorce papers and begs for a little more time. "I want something to hope for," he says. Annie gives in and rips up the divorce papers. She grabs her bag and runs out. He gets up to leave and sees Greenlee hugging Zach across the room. Ryan has another memory flash. He catches Greenlee's eye and she becomes nervous. She pulls away from Zach as Ryan leaves.
Greenlee calls Aidan to meet her on the beach. She has recreated his proposal picnic. Aidan isn't sure what to think. She apologizes for the way she acted. Aidan pretends to be impervious to her and says he can't turn back time - but Ryan can! He starts to leave but Greens stops him. She tells him about going to Ryan after the proposal, saying he needed her because of what Zach did. That doesn't sit well with Aidan. She keeps talking and says she's realized she keeps pushing away the people who care and running to the people who don't. Then she begs him to propose again. Aidan won't do it. He says she obviously needs more time and he isn't going to propose again. Greens begs and begs but Aidan won't re-propose. He walks away. As soon as he is gone, she calls Zach and says she needs him!
Greenlee, meanwhile, calls Aidan from the road but he won't answer. She tries Kendall next. Kendall says she picked up Aidan because he was drunk, but doesn't give Greenlee all the details. Greenlee asks if Aidan might forgive her and Kendall says he will. Eager to get off the phone, Kendal tries to hang up but Greenlee just keeps talking about Aidan. Kendall hears an airport announcement in the background and realizes Greenlee is very far from home. Greenlee hangs up on her.
Ryan tells Greenlee, once more, that he has to recover his memories on his own. She says she can't abandon him now. She says she is the only person who can help him! She kisses him. Greenlee pulls back, shocked. She says she shouldn't be there and realizes that she has been trying to fix Ryan - when she really should have been strengthening her relationship with Aidan. She can't believe what she has done but still has trouble pulling herself away from him. He tells her to go to Aidan and eventually she does. After she has gone, Ryan has a vivid memory - of Greenlee! He calls out to her. She turns around and asks what is wrong. Ryan wants to tell her about the memory but instead says that Aidan is a lucky guy.
Ryan is alone in a rubble pile that used to be his home. He remembers his drunken mother and abusive father and what his life was like. Greenlee arrives. She says his bad side is gone, just like his father and the horrible home he grew up in. Ryan doesn't believe her. He says he isn't over the past and she needs to leave. Greenlee tells him about Aidan's proposal and how she turned him down. She says she can't say yes to Aidan until things are right for Ryan again - and she feels she is the only person who can make things right. Her phone rings but she ignores it. "I'm the one you need," she says. Ryan tells her to leave him alone because he has to do this alone. She refuses to listen, saying Ryan wanted her to follow him or he wouldn't have called her. Ryan says that can't be true because he doesn't even remember her.
