Annie goes to The Comeback and is startled that Babe is so hostile. She asks Annie about the trial, wondering why she would lie to send Richie to prison. Annie turns away but Babe stops her and asks about the night Ryan shot her. Annie tells Babe to watch out for Richie or he'll ruin her life. Babe blurts out that Richie is sick! Babe stuns Annie by saying Richie is physically sick - with leukemia! She tells Annie how she found the pill bottle and got the information from a doctor she trusts. Babe hands over the pill bottle but Annie thinks it could be a fake. "Do you want your brother to die?" Babe asks. Annie gathers her things and leaves.
Hannah Attacks Adam!
Babe runs into Richie in the park. He stops her to tell her about the job but Babe isn't interested. Babe is stunned when he tells her he'll be working for Ryan and wonders what he is really after. Richie swears it is just a chance to be close to his sister - and stay in Pine Valley. Babe reminds him that she is definitely not interested in whether he stays or goes. Richie asks Babe if she knows why he was in jail and goes on to tell her that Annie lied against him in a robbery/assault trial. He gives her the details and Babe thinks she knows why he is sticking around. "You want her to pay," Babe says. When she tells Richie she'll decide about Annie on her own he reminds Babe that Annie has lied about her family since arriving in Pine Valley. He goes on to tell her about life in prison and admits that he wanted to make Annie pay for a long time. Now, he says, he doesn't; he just wants to move on. "I came here to forgive Annie," he says. Richie tells Babe that he just wants to move on with his life but he feels he has to make amends with Annie first. Babe is hesitant to believe in him completely but she does listen to him when he says that his feelings for her were - and are - very real! Richie agrees not to push Babe and then she leaves for work. She watches him pop a couple of pills and then toss the empty pill bottle. After he is gone, she takes the pill bottle from the trash can! Babe writes down the identifying number from the pill bottle and text messages Josh to find out what the pills are for.
Krystal Wants Adam Back!
Babe arrives at Richie's motel room. He cleans up a bit so she can sit down and she realizes he is packing up. He tells her that he isn't leaving town but he is moving on from the Pine Cone. He leaves to pick up some packing boxes and soon returns. Babe asks who he thinks managed to get him kicked out of the motel; Richie shrugs off the eviction and continues packing. He asks if she wants him to leave. Babe pulls the Mickey Mantle card from her purse and tells him to take it with him wherever he decides to live. Babe sees a bottle of pills but Richie grabs it - saying it is an anti-inflammatory prescription - before she can get a good look at it. He gets a call to set up a job interview and tells Babe he doesn't need the card back. She asks about the job but Richie doesn't have much information. Babe starts to leave but Richie asks her to stay and he starts goes to change clothes. When he returns, Babe is gone and the baseball card is on the desk.
Adam surprises Krystal by stopping by the Martin home. She sees him through the peephole and struggles with whether to let him in or not. Adam rings the bell again and Krystal answers the door. He barges in without waiting for an invitation, telling Krystal that he wants to visit her as Adam and not as Stuart. He apologizes for his actions and tells her that he is still in love with her! Krystal can't believe what she is hearing and tries to hold back her tears. "Do you think you could ever love me again?" Adam asks. Krystal reaches out to him, telling him that she can love him again! They kiss! And then Krystal wakes up from her daydream. She opens the door and invites "Stuart" in to the house. Krystal focuses on the baby but "Stuart" can't stop talking about Adam and the changes he is trying to make in his life. Krystal asks why "Stuart" keeps pushing her toward Adam. He tells her that Adam is a changed man and that since Jenny stole his heart, he knows Jenny can steal Adam's heart, too! He steps closer to Krystal but just then Babe arrives. "Stuart" makes a quick exit. Babe updates Krystal on where she's been and Richie's job interview. Krystal thinks she knows who is trying to hire Richie and takes off very quickly.
Ava Takes Control!
Babe brings Colby and Corrina in to be Fusion's young focus group. Amanda is the only on in the office. Corrina talks about Ava and is definitely a fan. Ava hasn't come in yet and that is worrying Amanda because the photographer and reporter are due any minute. Just then Ava walks in a goofy looking sexy-mummy dress dress with her hair pulled back in a turban. Ava and Babe tell her to change but Ava refuses, telling them to fire her if they don't like her outfit. Ava asks Corrina what she thinks; Corrina likes it! Ava and Amanda keep arguing; Babe tries to calm both of them down. Ava spots the reporter and photographer coming in and begins to throw a huge fit! Babe and Amanda manage to calm her down and the interview gets underway. In the middle of everything Ava unveils her real new look - a blonde Mohawk and punk gear! Amanda and Babe drag Ava away, telling her that if she doesn't straighten up and fly right they will keep her under contract and not let her do any work at all! "You'll be the face of nothing by the end of the month," Babe says. Ava storms off. The reporter comes over and tells them how edgy they are being - he loves Ava's new look and wants to go on with the interview. Babe decides to give Ava the "good" news. She tells Ava that her perspective is fresh and they will give her some say in what she wears and how she looks. Ava unwraps her new look. Finally the interview is over. Corrina can't say enough about Ava's new look and Colby suggests that Corrina do a little modeling for them, too! Meanwhile, Ava's next photo shoot gets underway. JR arrives and watches for a while. Amanda spots him and tells him that Ava's latest stunt isn't going to get her out of the Fusion contract.
JR Gives Greenlee Hope
Richie arrives at The Comeback and is surprised that Babe is there instead of Krystal. He wants his job back! Babe tells him to take the hint and just leave town but Richie won't back down. She angrily tells him that she isn't fooled by him any longer after last night. Richie takes her hands and moves close, telling her that there is still something in Pine Valley that he wants! Richie asks her if she really thinks he is crazy, pointing out that Annie is the one who had him falsely convicted and sent to jail. Babe walks away but Richie won't leave. He swears that Ryan and Annie are the crazy people because of the "Annie's Dead" scene he saw but Babe still won't give him the answers he wants. She asks him to leave. She walks away and when she returns Richie is still hanging around. Babe gets irritated and Richie turns on the charm. "I don't care why it started or who started it," Babe says and tells Richie that she isn't interested in bad boys any more! He finally agrees to leave and Babe wishes him luck finding a new job. Richie makes himself comfortable at the bar, wondering if he'll be able to find a job anywhere near Pine Valley. He pulls a baseball card - Mickey Mantle's rookie card - from his pocket and gives it to Babe for little A. Babe refuses to take it but Richie insists. He leaves it on the bar and then leaves.
Josh Madden: Hunky Spy!
Babe walks into The Comeback, chats with Kyle for a second and then goes to the bar. Tad walks in to talk and takes Babe to a side table. He points out that Richie has acted like a lot of serial killers have acted but Babe still can't make her memories of Wes match the things that Annie says Richie has done. Tad points out that Richie couldn't even be honest about his name. He suggests that Babe keep her distance from Richie for the time being until they find out more about his past. Babe reluctantly agrees and then returns to work. She goes outside to bus a few tables. Richie arrives, freaked out about Ryan and Annie. He tries to explain things but Tad comes to him as he swears he didn't kill Annie! Richie tells them everything that happened. "My sister's dead. Ryan killed her," he says. Tad convinces them both to come with him to Ryan's. They arrive and everyone is surprised to see Annie - alive and definitely not shot! - with Ryan in the living area. Babe can't believe what she is seeing and leaves. Richie stays behind but Ryan orders him out. He goes. Tad smiles at Ryan and then leaves, too. Ryan and Annie can't believe their plan worked!
Who Will Babe Believe?
Julia is checking on Richie when Babe arrives. Richie wakes and Julia gives them some space. Babe asks him why he kept his past a secret and wonders why he set up the robbery at The Comeback. Richie makes a big deal about not being able to speak because of the noose and begins telling Babe his version of their family history. He says that Annie was thrown out of the house and that she has always twisted things to her own benefit. Babe has her doubts but Richie keeps working on her until she admits that he could be telling the truth. He brings up his attraction to Babe but she cuts him off by asking why he chose to return to Pine Valley but keep his identity a secret. Richie insists it was the only way to prove to Annie that they could be a family again. Richie plays up the fact that Annie ruined his entire life. Walter arrives and hugs Richie. Richie introduces Walter to Babe and before she can leave, tells her to stick around so he can tell the truth about what happened. He blames Ryan, telling Walter that Annie probably didn't mean for things to go that far. Richie keeps the details to himself but when Walter insists on knowing, he tells them that Ryan and Aidan trussed him up and then kicked the chair from under his feet to hang him. Babe can't believe it! Walter becomes angry at Annie. Babe turns to go but Walter stops her, siding with Richie. Annie walks in and Walter orders her to stay away from Richie! "You're sick. You sent your husband to murder your brother," he says and pushes Annie out of the hospital room.
Richie's In Big Trouble!
Annie asks Richie to hand over Emma but he hesitates, telling Annie how much Emma looks like their mother. Annie takes Emma inside and tells Richie to stay where he is. Everyone questions Babe, making her really nervous about Wes. Tad tells her who "Wes" really is. Babe can't believe it. Annie walks in with Emma, and leaves her inside. She, Adam, Tad and JR go outside but Richie is nowhere to be found! They return inside. Krystal hugs Babe and Annie wonders where Ryan could be. Tad calls Detective Perry, who promises to return to them soon. Babe can't believe that Wes is really Richie and has been stalking her friend. JR attacks her choice to even see Wes/Richie. Adam steps in and defends Babe, telling JR to back off. Babe is having trouble believing that the sweet "Wes" she knew is really Annie's crazy brother. Det. Perry arrives and asks what Wes/Richie did in the cabin and Babe says he was the perfect gentleman and helped with the kids. Annie tells Babe and the detective it was all an act. Babe would rather trust her own instincts and tells Annie so. Annie can't listen to her. Greenlee sticks close to Annie, telling her over and over that she believes her about Richie. Adam tells Krystal and Colby that the Chandler security team is on the case to help track down Richie. Krystal asks why he is being so nice. Outside, Tad reassures Greenlee that Ryan and Aidan will be okay with Richie. He returns inside just in time to hear Adam tell Krystal that he is trying to be a nice guy. She wants to know why. Det. Perry gets a call that Aidan and Ryan left the Pine Cone an hour before. Julia leaves, telling Babe how sorry she is about everything. Ryan calls Annie and tells her that he and Aidan have Richie. She demands to know where they are but Ryan won't tell her anything. He hangs up and that makes Annie even more nervous. The detective asks where Ryan was and Annie tells him that she heard Polka music. He deducts that they must be at the Octoberfest situation. JR gathers little A to leave, on his way out the door he tells Greenlee that she'll understand how he feels about little A if she ever has a child. At the bar Colby, Babe and Krystal wonder how they could have been deluded by Richie. Tad tells them they were simply fooled. Colby wonders if Richie is the honest sibling and Annie is the liar.
