Annie bobbles it and winds up pouring coffee all over the papers. Upset, she tells the girls that she should just leave the company! They tell her to stay, that they need her. Annie isn't convinced, worried about Ryan and her job. They girls sit down to dish about Greenlee. They tell her that she has to be strong and tough around Greens. Babe them about her past with JR and compares that with the Greenlee situation. Annie decides to deal with Greenlee on her own, without waiting for Ryan to decide what he is going to do. Ryan and Greenlee meet at ConFusion. She thinks he is going to tell her it's time to leave Annie! When Ryan tries to direct the conversation, Greenlee pulls out presents for Spike and goes on about the baby. Ryan interrupts her and things turn serious. "We can't be together anymore," Ryan says! Greenlee laughs at him, telling him that they can't break up because they aren't a couple! Ryan sets her straight, telling her that they aren't going to be friends, they aren't going to hang out or even talk. He tells her to focus on her other friendships - like Kendall. Greenlee can't believe it. She tells him she can't not have him in her life but Ryan doesn't back down. Greenlee gets angry, thinking that Ryan is going to try to take her life away - again! Greenlee leaves the table, asking Ryan how she is a threat to his family. She overreacts, asking him if she can talk to him on the phone when he calls Annie at work or if she has to leave the office when he visits. She tells him she has seen the way he looks at her, telling him that his feelings for her haven't changed over the years. "You still want me," she says! Ryan tells her that he doesn't want her - he wants Annie! Greenlee asks him to give Annie time to get acclimated to her but he tells her that isn't it. "We're done," he says. Greenlee isn't ready to accept that. Greenlee asks him to give her another chance, reminding him that Kendall is willing to take a chance on her again. Ryan turns her down, telling her that he prefers Annie and just wants Greens to leave them alone. Trying to hold back tears, Greenlee tells him that she will leave him, Annie and their family alone. She runs from the club. Zach picks up Spike's toy boat and sighs. He sends Annie a text message and they meet a few moments later. Sitting down, Annie realizes there are two cups of coffee already on the table and one has lipstick on the cup. She realizes Ryan was Greens' "big meeting". Before he can say anything, Annie leaves!
Greenlee heads to the beach. Sitting alone by the shore she has a little pity party. "I bit it big time," she says, crying and wondering what her next move should be. She sees Ryan as her whole life still and isn't ready to give him up!
Annie watches Greenlee get chummy with Ryan at the yacht club for a moment. Ryan realizes they aren't alone and is surprised to see here there. Annie storms by him not wanting to talk! Ryan follows her. Annie vents that Greenlee is too close too often and she doesn't like it! Greenlee steps in and Annie tells Ryan exactly what Greenlee said that morning. Greens interrupts and Annie storms off. Ryan follows, ignoring Greenlee and telling Rachel to take Spike home. Annie runs to the beach angry with Ryan. "Greenlee is still in love with you," she says, upset because Ryan is eating up all of Greens' attention! Ryan tries to explain his actions but his explanation - that he kissed Greenlee because he felt sorry for her - doesn't fly with Annie. "She is here because she wants you," Annie says when Ryan continues trying to convince Annie that Greenlee only reacting because she wants a child like Spike. The more they talk the more upset Annie gets, fearing that Ryan will leave her and leave Emma! Ryan gets quiet for several moments. He tells Annie that he is completely devoted to her and their kids - not Greenlee! Annie begins to cry; she wants to believe Ryan but she can't trust Greenlee! "I never thought I would doubt you but I do," she says and turns away. Annie turns back to Ryan telling him that what hurts the most is the way he looks at Greenlee. Ryan vows his love, telling Annie that he stopped loving Greenlee a long time ago. When Annie can't accept that, Ryan asks her what he can do to convince her of his love. She can't give him ultimatums but tells him that she won't share him any longer! Crying, Annie walks away and leaves Ryan on the beach!
Greenlee heads to ConFusion where she meets with Josh. She invites him to join her for a special evening and they take off. In a private corner, Greenlee toasts to Annie - her savior! Asking him to dance, Greenlee tells him that things aren't nearly over between her and Ryan! She is convinced that Ryan is still in love with her. Josh tells her not to be so sure but Greenlee is convinced. "That marriage is as good as over," she says, confident that she will win.
Greenlee surprises Ryan at the yacht club. She flirts with him, wondering if he is following her. Ryan smiles at her, saying it's probably the other way around - that she is following him! Greenlee suggests it is fate throwing them together, just like the old days. She asks Ryan to join her but he declines. Greenlee thanks Ryan for standing by her when she returned home and tells him that it helped her get back on track. She tells him about making the new fragrance a few nights before and gives Ryan the credit. "You stood up for me. Because of you I can stay and I can reclaim my life," she says and calls Ryan her family. Ryan is quiet for a minute and then tells her that Annie, Emma and Spike will be his first priority from now on. Greenlee tells him that she understands Annie better than anyone else can! When Greenlee tells Ryan that she will do anything to make him happy Ryan realizes she has other motives. He tells her he is already happy - with Annie! Greenlee tries to backtrack but it doesn't work Rachel arrives with Spike and Greenlee turns to mush. Ryan and Spike head off to swim class, leaving Greenlee alone. She quickly changes into a bikini and when Ryan and Spike return from swim class, she is there waiting with extra sunblock and a few extra lounge chairs! Annie arrives just in time to see Greenlee give Spike a new pair of boating shoes and looking very at home with Annie's family!
Greenlee is surprised to find Ryan and Annie back in Pine Valley - and making out on the beach. Greenlee goes on about the chemistry at Fusion, implying that without Annie the company is working so much better. Annie agrees with Greenlee, telling her that without the constant interruptions she and Ryan are doing much better, too. Greenlee heads off to finish her morning run. When they are alone, Annie tells Ryan it's time to get back to the real world. Greenlee watches them from the bushes.
Babe and Di arrive at Fusion and Babe tells her about the breakthrough with Greenlee, believing that she and Greenlee are becoming friends again. Angry, Greenlee storms into the office. She demands to know where Kendall is but Babe and Di don't know. Babe calls her on her attitude. Just then Annie walks in and Babe and Di know just what is bothering Greens. Greenlee offers to give Annie a few more days off but Annie turns it down. Greens tells her that things have changed and she may not fit in so well at Fusion now but Annie could care less. She tells Annie that long hours and late nights are now required. Still, Annie won't back down. "You may not want me here but you better get used to it," Annie says. Greenlee tells her that she may not be there long if her family begins to interfere with her work! This makes Annie mad and she retaliates, telling Greenlee that her family has never interfered with her work. "Firing me won't get Ryan back," she says and storms off.
Babe and Di are testing Kendall and Greenlee's new fragrance. They love it, exciting Greenlee and Kendall. Zach arrives and jokingly asks if they are excited about him! Kendall puts the test strip up to Zach's nose to get his reaction. She pulls him out of the room, leaving Greenlee, Di and Babe alone. Di grabs a test strip and goes home for the night. Greenlee apologizes for dragging Babe away from her family late at night but Babe tells her not to worry about it and says she needed the break from studying for the GED. She apologizes again, this time for making Babe feel bad about dropping out. Babe turns the tables, thanking Greenlee for pushing her into finishing her high school studies! Greenlee pours them a couple of drinks, shocked that Babe is giving her thanks now. "I was getting too comfortable but you made me step up my game. Now I can see what's important and I know that I can make it happen," Babe says. Greenlee can't believe what she is hearing. Babe thanks her again, telling Greens that she gave Babe the room to be the woman she always wanted to be. Babe asks Greenlee what really happened to get Greens and Kendall back on the friendship track.
Kendall and Greenlee bring boxes of flowers, spices and herbs into the mostly-empty Slater condo, preparing to get to work on their new concoction. They begin talking about Simone, wondering if their friend would be happy to see them working together again. Stirring things into the pot, Greenlee and Kendall begin adding ingredients. Both are worried that they won't be able to recreate their past accomplishments. Greenlee adds in some valerian root, loving the scent for a second until it really begins to boil. The horrible scent overwhelms them and they dump it down the sink. Greens and Kendall begin cooking again. A few more failed concoctions come about. Finally they produce a nice aroma. It isn't quite right but does put them in the mood for pina coladas! Talking about having an alcoholic drink, Greenlee remembers that Kendall is pregnant and it puts a damper on their evening. Instead of making her sad, it gives Greenlee an idea: what if they can find that fresh, baby scent and incorporate that into a fragrance? Kendall tells her they can't because that scent is something that only babies can produce. They start working on fragrance #37. They finally hit on the right scent. "That is it that is it that is it," Kendall says, excited and begins to put all the ingredients into the computer.
