Ready for Court?

At the courthouse, Jack assures Derek that he will take over the trial reigns and keep Alexander behind bars! Jonathan, Aidan, Dell and Di arrive, incensed that Alexander might get off with an insanity plea. "The judge actually believes this rubbish?" Aidan asks. Jack tells them that Alexander will be sent to a mental institution but that doesn't make anyone feel better. After all, Janet just escaped from a similar institution! Ryan arrives and Jack tries to get him to calm Jonathan. "He has to pay," Jonathan says and storms from the courtroom. Ryan tells Jack that whatever Alexander is paying the judge, he will double. Jack assures him that the judge is an honorable man. In the hall, Zach runs into Tad, telling him that he was wrong for talking Zach out of killing his father in Vegas! Kendall arrives, telling Zach that she is not leaving him to face Alexander alone. Zach gives in and together they head inside. Kendall talks briefly with Hannah, eager to confront Alexander; Hannah warns her to keep her distance. Annie reassures Ryan that she will help keep an eye on Jonathan as Babe arrives asking if the news is true. Meanwhile, Jack tells Zach that he is going to motion for a stay so that they can get their own psychiatrist to examine Alexander. "And if that doesn't work, it's up to you," Jack says, telling Zach that he may have to break his father down! Alexander is wheeled into the room, singing the Red Rock song over and over.

Decisions, Decisions!

At the jail, Hannah arrives to see Alexander. "Remember me?" she asks. It takes Alexander a moment, but he finally realizes who she really is. Angry with him and unafraid to confront him with the jail bars between them, Hannah tells him that he failed in trying to get Ethan from her and she will never regret her actions. "You belong in there," she says and quickly walks away.

Good News Travels Fast

At the police department, Zach asks to see Alexander. He stares through the bars for several moments without saying a word.

A Proposal, An Answer And A Response

Ryan arrives at the police station to see Alexander and give up control of Cambias Industries. Alexander isn't worried about Ryan leaving, in fact he has already found someone to take it over and rubs the fact in Ryan's face. "All the power and all the money only matter when you use them to do good," Ryan says, not caring who will take over Cambias. Zach arrives, slamming down the papers naming him as the new leader of Cambias. "Take your company to hell with you," he says! Zach tells Alexander that he won't take over the company and rips up the contract. When Alexander threatens Kendall, Zach lunges across the table and takes him by the throat. He tells Alexander not to threaten his family. Ryan and Kendall convince Zach to let Alexander go. Able to breathe again, Alexander informs them that he has other plans for Cambias if Zach refuses to run the company! He will form The Michael Cambias Foundation from it, a foundation dedicated to defending violent criminals and getting them released from prisons! "There is a special place in hell for you," Zach says and leaves. Alone with Alexander, Ryan tells him that he is alone, sick and crazy and leaves him to ponder how to spend the rest of his caged days. Meanwhile, at Zach and Kendall's, she tries to convince him there is one reason - and only one - to take over the company. And it has nothing to do with Alexander, Michael or any other Cambias. It has to do with their son - and their new baby!

The Future Is Bright

At the police station, Zach comes face to face with Alexander. "You will never be free," Alexander tells him. He calls Zach a selfish coward, but Zach isn't listening. "You can't guilt me into submission any longer," Zach says, because he knows what real love is now. Turning, Zach leaves his father in chains. Sitting alone in the station, Alexander ponders what has happened.

Ready To Run?

At the police station, Erica arrives as Jack finishes up some work on the Satin Slayer case. She thanks him for helping to save Kendall and he tries to walk away. Erica stops him by asking about the mess he created for Josh! With Babe still pretending to be dead, Erica believes Josh could be in trouble. Jack walks away, telling her that he's been busy with the actual killer. Jack tells her to give it time; Babe will come "back from the dead" when she is ready. He tells Erica to stop meddling and she takes offense. Jack turns the tables, reminding her of their marriage promise - to stay out of their children's lives. He tells her that unlike her he is still honoring all of their marriage promises! Angry, Erica storms away, telling Jack to give Barbara her regards! Later, Zach arrives at the station and talks to Derek. As he begins looking through the evidence against Alexander, memories of the Vegas trip flash through his mind. Moments later, Zach is shocked to see Alexander in the room!

It's Over!

At the Vegas police department, Derek and Jack work on extradition, but Alexander isn't done with them. He tells Tad and JR that things aren't nearly over! Taunting the men, Alexander calls them buffoons. He knows he will always have their attention - which is exactly what he always wanted. "You've made me immortal," he says. JR tries to attack Alex, but Tad grabs him and with Jamie's help holds him back. Derek promises Alexander that they may never forget him but he will never see freedom again. "You might as well not exist," Tad tells Alexander, promising that he will never matter to anyone again! Derek leaves to finish the extradition papers. Tad, JR and Jamie talk about Dixie and Babe, wondering how this spring would be different and the same from all of the springs in their pasts. Papers ready, they leave Las Vegas. Back in Pine Valley, Tad visits Dixie's grave.

Caught In The Crossfire

At the replica mansion, Alexander's gun goes off as he fights with Zach but neither man is hurt! Zach manages to get the V-Tach device away from Alexander but he manages to keep gun! Alex shoots Zach but Zach keeps the device activated. When Alexander begins working on Zach's mind again, Kendall tries to convince him that he isn't to blame and yells, "No!" when Zach volunteers his life for hers. Seeing that Alexander isn't giving in, Zach asks what he really wants. Alexander tells them he wants an heir. Ryan is a good choice, he thinks, but only because Ryan can lead him to the person he really wants to carry on the Cambias name: Spike! Because of Kendall's strength, Alexander wants to raise Spike as his own son! "You stay the hell away from my son," Kendall says. Alexander orders Zach to kneel, and slowly turns the gun on Kendall. As he turns, Zach pulls a knife from his boot and throws it at Alexander, cutting his arm deeply! Hurrying, he gets the needle away from Kendall's throat as Alexander reaches for the gun again. Zach stops him and wrestles him inside. "You killed Erin. You killed Simone. You killed Dixie, you killed my mom. Now I'm gonna kill you!" he says. Kendall cries for Zach to come back, but he is too enraged to hear her. Tad and Ryan arrive and Tad pulls Zach off of Alexander, trying to convince Zach that his life is worth more than Alexander's. Tad finally begins to calm him. Jamie, Aidan and JR arrive and head into the main room. Tad promises that Alexander will be punished. Outside, Kendall tells Ryan about Alexander's threats to Spike. Ryan heads straight for Alexander, telling him that if he ever goes near Spike, Ryan will kill him. JR approaches Alexander, angry and wanting to know what Babe's last moments were like. He doesn't answer. Zach comes in and takes Kendall in his arms, as Tad leads Alexander away.

And The Truth Will Set You Free!

At the replica mansion, Alexander activates the device tied to Kendall. It holds a needle filled with V-Tach and if Zach takes another step, it will inject Kendall. Alexander has one more trick up his sleeve. Because he holds the switch controlling the device, if Zach manages to kill him, the device will go off! No matter what happens, he tells Zach, Kendall is dead! Seeing Kendall tied up brings back another memory for Zach: his parents arguing and Alexander pushing Amelia off of the balcony! Zach can't believe what Alexander did, how much of a monster he really is. "You took away everything beautiful in my life," Zach says, holding up a picture of Amelia. Alexander defends his actions, saying Amelia was a bad influence on Zach and Michael. He believes she got what she deserved. He goes on to say if Zach would have fallen in line as a child and young adult, no one else would have had to die. Seeing the tears running down her face, Zach offers his life for Kendall's, but Alexander won't let her go until Zach apologizes to him! "Do as I say or Kendall dies," he says. When Zach starts to apologize, Kendall interrupts him. She doesn't believe he has anything to apologize for. Alexander demands the picture of Amelia and throws it over the balcony railing. Then, he tells Zach to beg for Kendall's life - on his knees! Zach bends to his knees and begins his apology again. "I deeply apologize for causing you pain. You are always right. You win," he says. Kendall defends Zach, telling Alexander that no matter what happens, Zach will always be her husband. She will never leave him, she exclaims with tears running down her face! "Never in my life have I been more proud of him than I am right now." Zach surprises Alexander then by telling him to let Kendall go - and keep him instead! As Alexander begins to let go of the button on the detonator, Zach lunges forward, fighting him for it!

Truths Are Revealed

At the replica Cambias mansion, Kendall reluctantly takes the ribbon and gardenia from Alexander. She thinks she finally has Alexander figured out - he wanted all of the victims to be Amelia! She believes that he blames Zach for her death. Kendall plays analyst, telling him that by killing the other women he was trying to spend a little more time with Amelia! "I want to understand," Kendall says. Alexander puts a small pistol in his pocket as Kendall talks to him. She kisses him, telling Alexander that she can bring Amelia back! Wondering where she is going with her new act, Alexander plays along. "Sweet girl," he says and grabs her arms, twisting them behind her back. Angry, Alexander says he doesn't want Amelia back - he only wants to use Kendall to torture Zach a little more! He throws Kendall against a bench and she lets her anger show again. Laughing at him, Kendall tells him he is a pathetic loser. "You murder women because you are completely inadequate!" she says. Michael was just as pathetic as he, Kendall says, but Zach was different. Zach was everything that Alexander wanted to be but couldn't. Kendall dares Alexander to pull the trigger, and he does! Driving, Zach hears Kendall's voice and then the lullaby again. He arrives at the duplicate of the mansion and goes in with his gun drawn! "Welcome home," Alexander says behind him. "Take me to my wife before I blow your head off!" Zach says. Instead of taking him to Kendall, Alexander plays with Zach's mind, telling him he killed Amelia. Zach lowers his gun and walks toward Alexander until the gun is against his chest. Alexander steps back, telling Zach he doesn't want him dead, Alexander points to "Zach's" urn. He wants an apology! Seeing that Zach won't apologize, Alexander leads him to the terrace and Kendall. She is dressed as Amelia and tied to the balcony. "I won't kill Kendall," Alexander says, "You will!"
