Josh stops by Ryan's penthouse and asks why he's been making such drastic changes. Ryan says he wants the most out of life and that includes helping as many people as he can. Josh pulls out a stack of papers to help Ryan start on disseminating his funds. Richie stops by and asks to see Annie. Ryan invites Richie in so they can talk. Josh leaves. Ryan sits down with Richie and says Annie will never be his bone marrow donor, however, he promises to help Richie find a suitable donor. Richie doesn't believe Ryan for a second and wonders what he is really up to. Ryan remains calm, points out all of the horrible things from the past and tells him this is the best offer he'll get. Ryan dismisses Richie. Kendall arrives and Ryan wraps her up in a big bear hug and then kisses her passionately!
Hannah Escapes!
Zach calls out to Josh but he doesn't answer. Hannah moves to the door and Josh keeps working on untying the ropes. With Hannah distracted by Zach and Kendall's arrival Josh calls out for them both to get out of there. Hannah tells them Josh is dead if they leave. Zach sends Kendall to call the cops and tries to reason with Hannah but she is too far gone to listen. Zach doesn't speak for a while so Hannah turns the gun on Josh, threatening to kill him. Zach, still outside the apartment, realizes Hannah has switched her focus and begins talking to her again. Josh finally frees himself from one of the rope knots. Zach begins to agree with anything and everything Hannah says. Kendall returns. Josh sneaks up on Hannah and they struggle over the gun. It goes off! Zach and Kendall burst inside and find Josh on the floor and Hannah nowhere to be found. Josh says Hannah has the gun and points Zach in the right direction. Kendall tries to follow but Josh holds her back. Kendall stays with Josh, getting him an icepack for his head. Josh asks what is going on but Kendall isn't sure. Zach returns, angry because he couldn't find Hannah. He blames Josh for all of this! Kendall steps in, reminding Zach that keeping Hannah on at Cambias was her idea. Zach backs off. He sends Josh off with orders for the security detail - to kill Hannah if they have to! Josh leaves. Kendall can't believe the order Zach just gave. Josh accompanies Zach and Kendall home, telling them that there is no news about Hannah. Josh tells Zach what he knows about Hannah's deal with Adam and then leaves. Kendall asks Zach to be careful, especially around Hannah.
Josh Is Hannah's Hostage!
Josh is in his apartment watching the ambulances when Hannah arrives. He asks what all the commotion is outside. Hannah kisses him passionately and shuts the apartment door! Josh pulls away, wondering what Hannah really wants. She goes on and on about her life and Zach. Josh realizes she is still in love with Zach. Hannah brings up Adam and tells Josh she's been a double-agent for Adam Chandler! "Nothing matters now," she says and Josh becomes very worried. He tries to figure out what Hannah has done and doesn't have to work too hard because Hannah is all too willing to talk. Zach calls but before Josh can answer Hannah hits him over the head, knocking him out cold! She ties him to the chair and then wakes him up, holding a gun on him. Smiling, Hannah sits on his lap and begins kissing him. Josh pulls away as much as he can. Angry, Hannah tells Josh that Zach was supposed to turn to her when Kendall was put away, but since Kendall got off Hannah had to take matters into her own hands. She tells him about Ryan ruining her plans. "And Kendall doesn't know it yet but justice will be served," Hannah says. Josh begins working on the ropes tying him to the chair, hoping he can get them undone without Hannah noticing. She doesn't notice a thing because she is too angry with Zach, Alexander and Kendall. Josh points out that Hannah can't shoot him without drawing the attention of the rest of the apartment building and Hannah says she has no intention of shooting Josh now. She is going to wait for Zach to arrive - and kill them at the same time! Josh tells her it won't work. Seconds later Kendall and Zach knock on the door and ask him to open up. Hannah uses Josh as a shield and orders him to call out to them!
Hannah's Nuts!
At Cambias, Josh surprises Hannah who didn't realize he was back from a business trip. He brings up Kendall and Hannah pretends to be happy about the judge's decision. The conversation turns back to business but Josh can't stop talking about Kendall and her close call with prison. Hannah wonders if Kendall's complete honesty could hurt her later. Josh turns back to business, asking about the latest on the Chandler portfolio. Hannah surprises Josh by saying she sold it all off. She shows him the paperwork but Josh is still uneasy with what she has done, especially when he realizes he doesn't recognize any of the company names. Hannah tries to get Josh to leave but he sticks around, talking about Zach and Kendall non-stop. Hannah can't get over how committed Zach is to Kendall and wonders if she could have that someday. Josh believes Hannah is still hung up on Zach but Hannah insists she isn't. He brings up Tad and Hannah tells him about Tad's marriage. Josh invites her out for a drink but she begs off and leaves the office alone. Josh goes back to his office and keeps going over Hannah's papers. The more he digs into the deal the less he likes it.
Bianca's Home!
In Zach's room, Myrtle tells Zach to stop sweet-talking her and just get better - and get home! She turns to go but Zach tells her to stay. She can't, because she is going to church. "Put in a good word for a new friend," Zach says. Myrtle leaves. A few seconds later Kendall walks in and tells him that Aidan saved Greenlee's life. "It has to be a miracle," she says as Josh walks in with Ian. Zach holds his son for the first time in weeks. "My boy," he says in awe. Kendall sits with them for a few moments and then returns to the waiting room. Josh and Ryan want news about Zach but Kendall asks for a little time alone. She goes to the window, sits down and becomes teary. Erica sits with her, telling her it is okay to let all of the emotion out. Kendall can't. She tells Erica that she stopped believing that Zach would return but doesn't tell her about sleeping with Aidan.
Back in Zach's room Josh fills him in on all the happenings since he has been gone. Josh assures Zach that he hasn't missed a thing because he's been putting every move the boys have made on tape. Zach thanks him for moving in with Kendall and helping her out. "You're my brother now," Zach says. Ryan and Annie come in with Spike and Zach holds both of his boys for a while. In the hall Josh runs in to Kendall, who thanks him for all of his help. She returns to Zach's side. Josh asks Erica why she gets all misty-eyed around Kendall; Erica says it's a mom thing, but that fathers can feel it to. She points toward Zach and Kendall, together with their boys, in the hospital room. Emma arrives with a few presents for Zach, all hand made by her. She asks what happened while he was gone. Without giving her the bad details, Zach says he was on a trip but he wasn't afraid because he kept "visiting" his family in his head. Zach grabs a teething ring for Ian; Emma asks if she can put on her princess dress and Kendall says she needs to see Greenlee. Annie takes Emma out, leaving Erica to sit with Spike, Zach and Ian. She speaks to him softly and Zach pretends not to be able to hear her. When she moves closer he kisses her and thanks her for helping Kendall through. Erica is touched. She leaves as Ryan, Annie and Emma return.
In the hall Erica runs in to Jack and tells him she really is happy that Greenlee is back. She brings up their relationship but Jack refuses to talk about them, at least for the holiday. Everyone comes into the hall as Emma announces they are having a party. Zach and Kendall sit with the boys, Annie and Ryan sit with Emma - and then Bianca and Miranda walk in! They are welcomed with hugs and kisses. Julia arrives. Erica is carried in by two young orderlies. She makes a speech to all of them about love, family and happiness. She wishes everyone "Merry Christmas" and the crowd begins singing "Deck the Halls" as the kids begin dancing. Greenlee and Zach, sitting across the room from one another, lock eyes and smile.
Have I Got A Deal For You!
Erica arrives at Kendall's just in time to hear Joe's new diagnosis for Spike. All of them are stunned to learn that Spike would have become deaf whether or not Greenlee kidnapped him and they got into the accident. Joe leaves. Kendall goes off the deep end, believing more than ever that she is to blame for Greenlee's disappearance and Zach's; and even their deaths if neither is ever found! Erica sits down with Kendall, telling her that none of this is her fault, after all, Greenlee was after Spike. Ryan suggests going to tell Aidan the news but Kendall insists on going alone. She leaves. Ryan suggests that Erica go to Jacks to give him the news and she hurries away. Ryan settles in with the kiddos alone. Josh stops by and Ryan tells him about Joe's new findings. Ryan says they need to start preparing Kendall for the possibility that Zach may not return alive. Josh is surprised that Ryan is giving up hope. Ryan reminds Josh how long it has been and tells Josh that he knows Zach would move heaven and earth to return to Kendall but that he may not be able to.
Providing An Alibi
Kendall arrives at the hospital with Spike. Ryan and Annie meet her and so does Erica. Erica has ordered them all lunch and reserved an area just for their family to wait for news of Spike's surgery. Joe walks in and Erica becomes uncomfortable; he focuses on Spike and Kendall, promising her that Spike will be right as rain in just a few hours. Ryan takes Spike off for a little daddy-talk. As the women become teary, Ryan promises Spike that he will hear again. Kendall kisses Spike one more time before Joe takes him off to surgery. Joe returns a while later. He shows them the implant and explains about the surgery and then leaves. Kendall becomes very worried that she may have made a mistake in going forward with the surgery. Both Annie and Erica tell her she is doing the right thing. Ryan tries to calm her down but Kendall freaks out about Spike and about Zach. Josh walks up with Zach's favorite hockey sweater. They sit down and Josh assures Kendall that Zach will be back fighting for both of her boys before long; Kendall isn't so sure. She worries when the nurses don't come in to give her an update on the surgery but Josh calms her down. Ryan and Annie return with coffee and apologize to Kendall for being so wrapped up in their own problems and not helping her. Kendall says it doesn't matter because they are all together now. Erica returns and Jack walks in the waiting room. Erica is surprised to see him and asks how things are. Julia arrives and they begin chatting about Lily. Erica is surprised to learn about Lily's meltdown and asks why Jack didn't call her. He says it never occurred to him that she would care; that hurts Erica. Kendall begins telling everyone about her newfound working relationship with Aidan. Across the room, Jonathan confronts Ava about her meetings with JR at the jail lately. He asks if she is seeing JR now! Before she can answer Joe comes in with news about Spike. He says Spike came through the surgery with flying colors but asks them to wait a few more minutes before disturbing the kiddo. Joe tells them in a few weeks they will turn the implant on and then they will know if Spike will hear again. The good news gives Kendall hope for Zach, too.
Being Committed...
At Kendall's, Josh arrives as Erica is making demands on a toy company. A delivery man arrives with boxes filled with toys. She tells Josh that she is trying to make certain that things will be perfect for Kendall and Zach; Josh asks what he is doing with her own life. Kendall calls and afterward Josh asks what is really going on with Erica. Instead of talking about her own problems, Erica calls Pam and postpones several episode tapings, telling Pam that she has to be available for anything that Kendall may need. As she dials a few more numbers Josh tells her that he is moving in until Zach returns home. Erica more or less ignores him. Pam calls back and begins going over a few show details with Erica. When Erica finally hangs up the phone Josh cuts right to the chase and brings up Jack but before Erica can say anything Joe Martin interrupts them. Erica sees him and says he is not welcome in her home! Erica sends Josh away (apparently not caring that she is actually in Kendall's home) and tells Joe that he is not welcome anywhere near her or her family because of the way he is trying to break up she and Jack. Joe points out that he isn't the one who was lying to Jack and says in any case he is there to see Kendall, not Erica. Erica tosses him out! Josh returns and tells her he know exactly how she feels! Erica tells him about her plans for Greenlee. Josh tells her that even Kane's can be wrong and says she has to be the first to apologize to Jack. Erica says she can't because she truly believes Greenlee needs psychiatric help. Josh reminds Erica that when he was in a similar place, she gave him exactly the same advice. She still doesn't think she can do it. Kendall arrives home a few minutes later.
