"I hate you," yells Babe to Josh. He doesn't care—he not leaving her. And she's done nothing wrong—if JR dies, it's his fault, not hers. She saw him covered with JR's blood and thinks the worst—but Bianca interrupts and tells her that it's Josh who saved JR, when he did surgery on him in the alley. Babe is shocked by that news, and later comes back to thank Josh.
"You're free now, Babe…take your son and leave that house," advises Josh.
JR is out of surgery and is stable. He has multiple fractures and internal bleeding. Dixie goes in to see him; later Babe sneaks into his room, and Josh sees her go in.
Josh, still covered in JR's blood, comes to Kendall's door to tell her that JR may be dead. Her first reaction is that he killed JR, and she begins to plan his "escape."
He tells her the real story. Josh wonders why he stays in Pine Valley—it's only Babe. He admits he doesn't want to be alone tonight—that's why he came here. Kendall wants him to be happy, but she doesn't believe that Babe is the right woman for him. She points out that he helped keep JR alive. Whatever the reason, she says, if JR lives, it'll be because of Josh. A still-angry Josh rushes off to the hospital.
Bianca calls 911 about JR's jump; Erica and Josh are standing over his motionless body in the alley. He needs a doctor—so Josh begins to help him. He's bleeding out as the EMT's arrive—Josh insists he has to operate on JR right now—in the alley—or he will die! He performs emergency surgery, and then JR is rushed to the ER. The policBabe admits to Adam that she told JR about her Josh tryst. He's very angry and accuses her of ruining JR's life, and being motivated by money. He's getting angrier and angrier—when Jeff walks in, and tells him to shut up. Jeff is looking for Josh.
The police arrive to question Bianca and Erica.
Bianca is in a daze—how could this happen? Should she have let JR leave the room when he wanted to live? Erica tries to convince her that it's not her fault and that JR will no longer do damage to her family.
Erica is shaken by the fact that they could have lost Josh a second time, and Jeff comforts her.
Josh is back in his room, reliving the horrible events of that evening.
Adam and Babe see a blood-covered Josh, who tells them all that has happened. Josh tries to convince Babe that this demonstrates what JR is capable of—but she is unwilling to listen.
Adam is in JR's hospital room as they prep him for surgery. He tells JR how much they love him. Bianca runs into Babe and Adam there—he asks her what the hell she did to JR? She explains that she's sorry about what happened—but it's not her fault. Babe wants to know if JR threatened her and how this happened.
Di finally convinces Dixie to go back to sleep, and she does, but she is awakened by a phone call from Adam telling her about the accident.
Josh and Babe are on the roof—and he realizes JR finally knows the truth. He thinks this is the moment when the JR/Babe marriage is finally over, and their relationship can begin.
Babe is enraged over Josh "stabbing her in the back" and revealing the truth. She insists she still wants her marriage—but Josh won't listen. Babe says she has a future with JR—he can't believe her. Babe tells him to listen to her—"JR is her life"!
Josh admits that he was eavesdropping around the Chandler house and overheard her conversation with JR. Babe is angry and appalled, and tells Josh that her relationship with him is over. She doesn't want to see anyone hurt or JR behind bars. Josh walks away.
Erin and Josh are at the bar, commiserating about he and Babe. He claims he's ready to move on after Babe. She tells him that she's ready for a friends-with-benefits relationship. They go out to the roof and make out. He admits to her that he can't give her anything emotionally, but that's ok with her. As they're kissing, Josh has flashbacks of his time on the roof with Babe—and says he can't continue.
It's time for the New Beginnings party! Josh is already on a tear, complaining about Zach's presence—and insulting Kendall by suggesting that it's Zach's prowess as a lover that keeps her married to him. He reveals Bianca and Maggie's problems. Kendall finally has had enough and suggests that this is all about his issues with Babe—not them. She tells him if he makes her choose—it's Zach all the way.
Before Erica makes her appearance, Jack surprises Erica with his presence—and a glittering diamond necklace. When Jeff shows up at her door, ready to escort her, he's in a shock.
Erica makes her appearance and the argument spreads—just as special guest Donnie Osmond arrives, and notes that "Osmond family reunions are nothing like this!" She introduces him to her family, and the tension is still thick.
When Erica and Donnie appear before the press, she announces that he will be the lead guest on her show. Afterwards, he teases her about her "husbands", and Josh complains to Jeff about Erica. He tells him about revealing the truth to JR. Later, he wanders off to chat up Erin—and suggest they hook up.
Zach and Kendall are sitting together, and he wants to know if she really meant it when she defended him. She did. They decide to leave early, since Kendall want to show him their dream house. When he gets there, he tells her that they can't live there.
Josh and JR are speaking angrily in his office. Josh says he may be a liar, but the truth is "I had sex with your wife. Now that you know, Babe can finally be free." JR is disbelieving, but Josh insists Babe loves him. JR is upset and tries to figure out what's next—and calls Babe a profane name. Josh is enraged, and tells JR that she's a "walking miracle."
Babe calls at that moment, asking JR to come to see their "dream house." He tells Josh that he will never have Babe—and that he's fired!
Bianca comes in at that moment—and she tells Josh that Babe loves JR—and not because she wants to maintain custody of Little A. He signed that over to her months ago. He's sure that his confession to JR will turn the tables, but Bianca doesn't agree, and reminds him that marriages don't automatically break up because of an affair.
She confides to Josh that the reason she's in Pine Valley is because Maggie had an affair—but if she walked through the door right now—she'd take her back. She explains that Maggie isn't willing to be monogamous right now.
JR shows up and the property, as requested. Babe takes one look at his face and asks what's wrong. He tells her that Josh is out of Chandler Industries. Kendall is there, and they disagree over whose house this is going to be.
Kendall rushes over to Zach's office and tells him about the house, and needs to know exactly how much money they have.
After they get home, Babe can tell that JR has something on his mind. When she asks him, he tells her what Josh said.
Josh tries to kiss Babe in JR's office. JR almost walks in, but is then interrupted by an associate and they overhear him. Josh goes on about how they love each other, but Babe says she has to protect her marriage. Babe is angry and tells him to never try anything like that kiss again.
Josh insists that JR will revert to type, and hurt Babe. She says he's her past—JR is her future. Josh begs her to leave JR; JR overhears her saying that JR is her future. Babe embraces him and tells him he "didn't miss anything."
After Josh leaves, JR presents her with a diamond necklace and they again talk about their new house and new future. Is there anything else she wants, asks JR? Yes—Babe wants Josh out of Chandler.
When Josh comes in to give his report to JR, JR tauntingly tells him that Babe wants him out of Chandler. And if Josh touches his wife, he'll go after him. Josh looks JR straight in the eye and says that David was telling the truth—he did make love to his wife!
It's Josh's first day at Chandler Industries. JR wants to talk personnel matters, but Josh is more interested in personal conversations--especially the subject of Babe. JR says that there's nothing to discuss. As they're talking, Bianca shows up to talk about the New Beginnings party and the Chandler Industries donation to the Miranda Center.
Bianca can't understand why Josh is working at Chandler, and he explains it's a way to keep Babe safe.
Josh is ready to tell JR about him and Babe—and Bianca warns him to be ready for the consequences if he does that. She'll be on his side, no matter what he does.
Adam confronts Babe with the truth, but she tells him it's none of his business. Adam demands to know if it's over. She says her presence is proof that she's committed to JR. Adam says he will keep his promise to Krystal, as long as she stays away from Josh.
Krystal comes in after Adam leaves, and an angry Babe asks how she could have told Adam. Krystal apologizes, but says she couldn't lie to Adam about this. Babe admits that she's guilt-stricken and can't stop thinking about Josh.
"Keep your mouth shut" is Krystal's advice. Put Josh in the past, and let her mistakes stay buried.
When Adam arrives at work, he's surprised to see Josh, and flabbergasted when JR announces that he's hired Josh. "He came after your wife," says Adam. JR says he'll keep his "friends close and enemies closer."
Babe and Josh are having a very personal conversation in Josh's new office--and JR overhears.
