What Are You Hiding?

Jesse tells Annie they need to talk; Kendall asks if she can handle it. Annie says she can so Kendall leaves. Annie is very defensive which makes Jesse wonder about her. She digs through her purse to find her movie ticket stub and an early pregnancy test falls out! She is even more nervous but finally finds the ticket stub. She even tells Jesse the plot of the movie. Annie tells him that the night at the Pine Cone, she never really talked to Richie. When he keeps pressing her, she says Richie did tell her that Zach beat him up in the jail. She doesn’t want to say more but Jesse keeps pushing her. “Zach threatened to kill him,” Annie says as Kendall walks back in the room! She says Zach didn’t do anything wrong and that Annie is confused and that Richie was a liar. Jesse isn’t so sure.

Zach arrives and Jesse says he has no choice but to arrest him. Kendall tries to stop him but Zach insists he’ll be fine. Jesse leads him away. Kendall turns back to Annie and demands to know why she pointed the finger at Zach! Annie says she didn’t implicate Zach, she only said what Richie told her. Kendall doesn’t see the difference. Annie says she had no choice because Jesse wouldn’t leave her alone. Kendall says she should have kept quiet. “Zach protected you!” Kendall exclaims, wondering if Annie is protecting herself!

Forgiveness or Not?

Babe comes to Fusion but Annie is the only one at work. They commiserate over Richie and both agree that neither of them is to blame. Annie is still shaky but Babe believes she is just upset over Richie's death; she asks about Walter and Annie says he is crushed. Annie sits down and Babe tells her about moving back to the mansion. Then, she says Annie can talk to her any time.

At home, Frankie rages a little about Fletcher being released from jail. He says the man should be locked up for good and won't listen when Jesse and Angie tell him to let things play out. Angie finishes up breakfast preparations at the apartment as she and Jesse talk about the Novak case. Jesse questions her about the cause of death and wonders what caused the blunt force trauma. After breakfast, Jesse works in his home office. He has Richie's cell phone records and calls the last number Richie called - it's Annie! She asks what he wants and he explains. He asks about the last time Richie called her and realizes that he called Annie before and after the movie she supposedly saw - and also just after Richie hit her in the head at the motel! He says they need to talk.

After speaking with Jesse, Annie convinces Babe to go have lunch with JR and little A. Kendall arrives and tells Annie she should be home. Annie says she has to work to keep her mind off things. Jesse arrives.

There Are Secrets To Tell!

In the morgue, Angie tells Annie and Ryan that the autopsy will take a while and they should leave. Annie goes to get water and Ryan tells Angie that Annie is having real trouble with Richie's death. Angie offers to talk to Annie later. She leaves. Ryan suggests again that they leave but Annie won't go. She insists that she has to be there for Richie. Angie returns a short time later because the autopsy is over. She says Richie was hit by a car but that it didn't kill him. She says Richie was killed by blunt force trauma to the head. Annie is more unnerved than ever. Angie leaves. Annie remembers the last time she saw Richie, when her tire went flat on the highway. Richie was fixing the tire and said he would tell Ryan everything! Annie hit him with a tire iron! When he wouldn't wake up, she drove off in her car. Ryan brings Annie back to the present and asks how she is. She insists she is fine. She says she'll understand if Ryan wants to leave her. He says he won't leave. He has a memory flash of the accident when Greenlee lost their child. He kisses her and takes her home.

Guilty Parties!

In the penthouse, Ryan calls the airport to set up pick up times for Richie’s body; it will be sent back to Chicago where Walter lives. Annie listens sadly and then says he didn’t deserve that kind of death. Kendall and Zach arrive to offer their support. Annie plays the victim a little bit and Kendall hugs her. Ryan asks Zach about finding Richie. Zach says he didn’t kill the man. They return inside and Zach begins to wonder why Annie is acting so strangely. Kendall tells him about Annie’s missing ring and he says it isn’t a big deal. The more Kendall talks and the more he listens to Annie, though, the more questions Zach has. When Kendall and Ryan leave, Zach tells Annie she can tell him anything. She says there is nothing to tell. Kendall and Ryan return and Annie says she has to go to the hospital. They all go together.

Who Killed Richie?

Annie arrives home and runs straight in to Ryan's arms. He says Babe is okay but Richie is missing again. Ryan tells her about Jesse's visit and questions. When he won't give in, Annie says she doesn't know who she is any more. She worries about Emma and anything else that will distract Ryan. The police call and tell Ryan about the body found on the road. "I killed him," Annie says. She says if she hadn't gone to see him he wouldn't be dead now. He says she isn't to blame. Annie says she doesn't know how to feel about her brother being dead. She picks up her father's pocket watch and hears "Ring Around the Rosie" in her head. She remembers times that Richie was nice to her as a child and cries. Ryan says Jesse needs her to come to the morgue to identify Richie's body. They leave the penthouse.

Annie and Ryan arrive at the police station. Jesse shows them in to the morgue. "Richie!" she cries.

Desperately Seeking Annie!

In the cabin, Annie cuts Richie loose. They make it to her car and Richie tells her that Zach was the one who beat him up in prison. Annie tells Richie to shut up and is very worried about being found out. She asks why he didn't just leave town. Richie says he was forced into Plan B - kidnapping Babe. They argue about who is more wrong. Annie tells him he is crazy to think Babe would want him again. Richie says she is just jealous of him! Annie drives off. Richie tells her to stop worrying about Ryan because he doesn't really love her anyway. He says he is the only person who ever loved her! They argue about who is to blame for their dysfunctional family. Frustrated, Annie orders Richie to get out of her car. Annie calls Ryan, who is about to leave the penthouse. She says she is fine and doesn't know where Richie is when he asks. She says she'll be home soon. When she hangs up, she looks at the empty seat beside her.
