Annie admits to Kendall that she's falling in love with Ryan. Is that ok with her? Of course, says Kendall. Don't we all "fall for our heroes"? Annie insists this is much more than a crush, and thinks Ryan might be falling for her as well. Annie sees a picture of Greenlee…and learns about Ryan's life before they met.
Kendall says she thought Ryan would never get over Greenlee, but suggests that he's not using her—at least consciously.
When Zach arrives home with the horrible news about Erin, Kendall refuses to believe it. She becomes agitated and begins throwing things, and begs Zach to tell her it's not true. When she finally accepts the news, she sobs with grief.
Someone is killing the women of Fusion
"No way this is an accident," says Josh to the police. The white ribbon, the flower...it's identical to how Simone was found.
Zach responds to Josh's call, and doesn't tell Kendall where he's headed. To Kendall's displeasure, he grabs Annie off the porch, where she's waiting for Ryan, and insists she wait with Kendall. He also makes a quick call, doubling the security on his family.
Annie offers her condolences over Simone's death. Suddenly, Kendall asks if she's considered looking for Emma's biological father. She says she doesn't think it's a good idea, and then asks Kendall a question of her own: What made her choose Zach over Ryan?
When Zach shows up at the Fusion roof, Derek can't understand how he got there so quickly—how did he know? The police are all over the Fusion roof; Jonathan wanders up and sees his sister, lying dead. He gets hysterical, and begs them to get a doctor…but them tell him it's too late. He embraces Erin and promises to take care of her.
Ryan arrives, and Jonathan begs him to "tell them that our sister didn't die." Ryan tries to get Jonathan to come home with him. Jon doesn't want to leave Erin, and Ryan gently tells him that Erin is dead. Jon breaks away from him, rushes into the clubs and starts grabbing people, hollering "who did it…was it you?"
Aftershock
Annie and Ryan run into ConFusion behind Erin and excitedly tell of their trip before Erin can speak. Jonathon takes her aside and asks what's wrong - nothing you can do anything about she replies. She decides to stay silent for the moment.
Jon, Ryan and Annie toast Simone at the bar, while Josh enters and sits by himself fondling a white ribbon on a glass. Meanwhile, Danielle enters Fusion and Erin follows her in - they embrace. As JR lies in his bed thinking of Babe, she too is arriving at the office and is quickly drawn into the arms of Dani and Erin. The elevator doors open and Kendall and Bianca stand looking at the other three. Soon they are all holding each other and crying. Back at the morgue, Zach settles in on a chair outside the door where Simone's body is laying.
Babe tells Josh goodbye
Ryan and Annie are at conFusion, her "first date in ages." He has concert tickets and a helicopter waiting to whisk them there.
Zach and Kendall come to the Fusion office and invite the staff to join them downstairs to celebrate their new house. Kendall finds Zarf and Bianca together and invites him to celebrate with them, but he declines, claiming his "aura needs cleansing." Simone stays in the office while the rest of them go down to the club to celebrate. She's working at her desk when she's startled by Zarf, who tells her she's "spectacularly beautiful," and asks her out. No thanks, says Simone, and asks him to leave.
At the conFusion bar, while ordering, Zach keeps having visions of a beautiful, long-haired woman—the same visions he had at the new house.
Annie and Ryan are sitting with Kendall, who is bummed when Ryan shows her the photo of him, Spike and Annie with Santa that they had taken at the mall—she wanted to take Spike to see Santa herself.
Zarf is in the house!
Ryan and Annie and Emma are strolling through the Pine Valley Mall, Christmas shopping. She encounters a young boy who claims he's lost his wallet and gives him $20. But Ryan takes his wallet, and the young man comes back later, chagrined.
Secrets and lies
Ryan and Annie leave the Inn and go home. She thanks him for all he's done for her and Emma—then tells him "he's off the hook."
What hook is that, he asks? The McDermott hook, she says, and says she's sure he's eager to get back to his old life. He says he has plenty of time—and he wants to spend it with her. He invites her on a date, and she happily agrees.
Thanksgiving "celebrations" continues
At the Kane Thanksgiving, Erica asks Jack if it's ok she invited Jeff and Josh, since his invitation of Brooke means "anybody" can come.
There's a disagreement at dinner about who should say grace—when Erica suggests Jeff do it rather than the host, Jack. Myrtle interrupts and says the grace. Erica continues to spread harmony by asking for Jeff to carve the turkey.
Annie tells Kendall that the DNA results prove she is Emma's mother, and that she owes it all to Ryan and Jeff. Later, Kendall suggests to Ryan that he not let Annie and Emma remain in the penthouse. Ryan wants to know why she cares about it.
She tells him it's Spike—and Ryan says that Spike is his life, and no one can take his place.
Jeff tells Erica that it's clear she invited him to get back at Jack, and the more she does that, the closer he gets to her. When Erica asks who Annie "is", she gets back as good as she gives, when Annie asks her "how many of your husbands are invited?"
The conversation gets nastier when Jack questions Josh about his "attempts to destroy Babe's marriage" and Jeff makes comments about Erica's unhappy marriage.
Sean leaves in a huff, and Erica stomps off to the powder room, followed by Bianca, who confronts her with a question: Why is she so unwilling to come home? Erica agrees to stay for dinner. As she walks into the dining room, she hears Lily say "you're right Dad…you and Erica don't belong together."
"Maybe you're right, Jack," says Erica. "Maybe we should get divorced!"
A Pine Valley Thanksgiving
Jeff reviews the DNA results with Ryan and Annie. No match. But there are still four more test results coming in soon. Annie is very upset and wonders if this means permanent foster care for Emma.
The last four test results arrive: No match. No match. No match. But the fourth test is a match! The social worker brings Emma in and they are reunited for Thanksgiving.
David swears to a disbelieving Kendall that Ryan is Emma's father, and he has the DNA tests to prove it. He claims that Spike will always be second in Ryan priorities after Emma, and is leaving when Zach walks up, and says"Stay away from my wife."David tells them not to worry; he's leaving.
David records another farewell video. He tells Tad not to try and find him.
Back at the Valley Inn, Ryan arrives with Annie and Emma, followed by Erica walking arm-in-arm with Jeff and Josh. A few moments later, Kendall, Zach and Spike arrive to see Ryan jubilantly holding Emma in his arms.
