Babe returns to the waiting room. JR immediately asks about Richie. Annie listens to them as Babe talks about Richie’s supposed “secret weapon”. Annie asks Babe for more details. Greenlee sees them talking and starts questioning Annie. Ryan jumps to Annie’s defense and tells Greens to back off. She makes a smart remark to Annie and walks away. Annie thanks Ryan for standing up for her and asks him to hold her for a bit. She runs to Zach in the hall and brings up the break-in. Zach listens and Greens admits she was jealous because Ryan defended Annie! Kendall sits with Aidan, telling him that Greenlee calling him is a huge step forward. He says running to Zach with her worries first is a step back. Richie’s lawyer walks in and asks to see Annie – alone! Aidan finally goes to Greenlee and asks how she is. She says knowing Richie is the bad guy won’t fix what happened.
Annie goes to Richie’s room. He tries convincing her that he is innocent. When she doesn’t buy it, Richie blackmails her, saying if she doesn’t pay his bail, Ryan will find out about her little fertility plan! The lawyer comes in and leads Richie away. On the way out, Aidan slugs him! Richie smiles and says he’ll be a free man soon.
Zach Plays On Richie's Fears!
Greenlee can't believe Annie is sitting on her sofa. Annie slowly walks toward Greenlee and then tells her to leave Ryan alone! "Get a grip," Greenlee says, insisting that she and Ryan are just friends. Annie doesn't believe her and asks where she took Ryan. Greens insists going on a motorcycle ride was Ryan's idea but Annie doesn't believe that either. Annie tells her she can't have Ryan even though she has gotten rid of her Ryan-substitute, Aidan! Ryan calls and Annie blows off his worries, saying the mess was not a big deal. She hangs up on him. Turning back to Greenlee, Annie reminds her that she walked out on Ryan - and now she better live with that fact! Annie leaves. Later, Kendall arrives but Greenlee won't let her in. Kendall just talks through the door, reminding Greens of all the struggles they have been through. She asks Greenlee for a chance to make things right. Greens opens the door. She tells Kendall about Annie's visit and the threats but gets angry when Kendall doesn't take her side and tries to stay neutral. Greenlee says she isn't ready to be best friends just yet and Kendall says she can wait. She grabs some makeup and fixes up Greenlee's face.
Annie arrives home and tells Ryan she made the mess because she was angry that he stood her up. She asks where he was and he is honest with her. She steps closer and asks if he wants her - or Greenlee! He can't believe it and says he isn't leaving her but he can't say he really wants to be with her. She cries that he will never connect with her the way he connects with Greenlee and that scares her. Ryan holds her as she cries. She asks about the surgery and he tells her the risks; she still doesn't want him to go through with it. Ryan wonders why. "What if you remember that you never really loved me at all?" she asks. She walks away but Ryan grabs her and kisses her! He carries her upstairs and they make love.
Forgiving and Forgetting Isn't Easy!
At the penthouse, Annie brings in flowers and begins picking at the petals. "Baby girl, baby boy," she says. She sets the table for a romantic evening and settles in to wait for Ryan. Annie waits and waits but Ryan doesn't show. Annie blames Greenlee for Ryan not showing up. "Conniving little witch," she says and destroys the dinner table.
Greenlee steps inside her penthouse and sees Annie on the sofa!
Together, Forever...
At Fusion, Annie takes a test and learns she is ovulating. Ryan arrives and she tells him she has a sitter for Emma and they have a night alone! Before she can say more, Greenlee arrives and shows them her blackeye. Annie goes after more ice as Greens blames Kendall. Ryan prods her a little and Greenlee admits she pushed Kendall’s buttons; she also tells him about her one night stand. Annie returns. Ryan says he loves the idea of a night alone but can’t do it. He tells her about Jake’s doctor friend and his appointment. Annie says he can’t do this to her! Greenlee supports Ryan, making Annie all the more upset. “When are you going to butt out of our marriage?” Annie asks angrily when Greenlee tells Ryan for the umpteenth time that he should go to the doctor rather than spend time with Annie. Greenlee backs off as Ryan asks what is really going on. Annie says she is stressed out and doesn’t feel well. He asks about the vitamin shots and she says the doctor says the shots aren't enough. That doesn't change his mind, though and Annie leaves. When they are alone, Ryan asks Greens to come for a motorcycle ride with him!
You Can Call Me Daddy!
At the penthouse, Richie pushes Annie's buttons about her pregnancy plans. She says he'll never prove it. Holding her doctor's note, he says this is all the proof he needs. She threatens to call the cops about another break-in but he calls her bluff and says he is moving in - with her! Opal kicked him out for looking through her jewelry. Annie says there is no way she'll let him move in and there is no way she is giving him any money. Richie says she'll give him the cash and a roof over his head or he'll go to Ryan. Annie takes out her checkbook. Richie leaves.
No Risk, No Reward!
At the penthouse, Annie opens a letter from Ryan's doctor about the vasectomy. The letter tells Ryan about a possible lawsuit. Richie barges in and grabs the letter from her! He realizes Annie has kept the vasectomy news a secret.
Adam's Softer Side...
At home, Annie looks at the syringe from the doctor's and imagines how Ryan will react when he learns they are pregnant. She believes it is all she needs to have him with her forever. Just then Ryan arrives, startling her. She hides the syringe. They chat for a bit and Annie says he can stay; Ryan says he needs a little time. Annie gives him a back rub; Ryan removes his shirt and when he sits back down, nearly sits on the syringe! Annie covers, saying it is just a doctor prescribed B-12 shot. Ryan buys the story and offers to help her inject herself!
