Burning Down the House!

Julia and Kathy arrive at Annie's for a play-date. As the girls play Julia notices Ryan's things and Annie fills her in. She admits that she prays for Ryan to remember her but he doesn't. Julia asks what she is doing to make him remember. Annie realizes that they only talk about Emma or his memory loss, not their relationship. Annie says life at Wildwind was so much simpler than living with amnesiac Ryan. Julia teases her because she was stressed out about Ryan as much when she was at Wildwind as she is now. Julia and Kathy leave a while later. She is cleaning up when memories about Ryan come to the surface. She remembers how he saved her life in the plane and tells him he needs saving. She turns to go upstairs, trips over one of Emma's toys and makes a mess in the living room. Her forehead is cut and she is shaking. Ryan knocks on the door and calls to her! Annie opens the door and Ryan freaks out with worry. Annie says she must have left the door open after Julia left and someone broken in! Ryan hugs her and swears no one will hurt her as long as he is around.

More Lies and A Blessing!

Annie goes into the living room to find Ryan sleeping on the sofa. She wants to reach out and touch him but decides not to. Ryan wakes up and she asks if he'd like to take Emma to school. He tries to connect with her but Annie tells him, again, to stop trying so hard because whether he remembers her or not, she will be okay. She says they need to protect Emma at all costs and then asks him to move back in - for Emma's sake! She offers to let him stay in the guest room. Emma hears them talking and jumps to conclusions. Annie sends her back upstairs and apologizes to Ryan. He says he would love to move back in and says he'll swing by the Yacht Club after dropping Emma at school. They agree to tell one another if things become awkward. After Ryan and Emma leave, Annie pages through her wedding album, thinking about Ryan. She wonders if they can be friends when what she really wants is her husband!

A Job Offer!

Annie turns to Ryan on the beach and tells him to stop trying so hard and the memories might come to him. He doesn't feel like he can wait. Emma returns to them with a seashell; Ryan sends her off to find more. Annie takes a handful of sand and drops it bit by bit in his hands. She says if he relaxes and feels safe, his memories may return. Emma returns with another shell. He asks her to find another shell. When they are alone Annie says she'll wait for him. He kisses her hand. Ryan has another memory flash but before he can react Emma screams in pain. They rush to her side. They get Emma to the hospital where Frankie treats her for an allergic reaction to a bug bite. Julie gives her a shot and then takes Emma for a lollipop. Emotionally, Ryan says even though he doesn't remember being Emma's dad before he loves her now. A few minutes later, Annie watches as Ryan tells Emma how much he loves her.

Let's Talk Prenups!

Annie finds Ryan working on his motorcycle and offers to help. He says he likes getting to know her this way but when he brings up Greenlee's first motorcycle driving lesson, Annie gets quiet. Ryan apologizes and Annie says there is no need because it doesn't bother her any longer. "Any memory you get I consider a godsend," she says and asks him to tell her more about biking. As they are chatting Corrinna brings Emma to the garage. Ryan suggests that all three of them take the bike to the beach for the day. She agrees to the plan. They arrive at the beach a while later with a picnic lunch. Emma goes to play in the sand while Ryan starts a fire. After toasting marshmallows, Emma leaves to finish her sandcastle. Annie is stiff after riding the motorcycle so Ryan gives her a neck massage. "You're trying really hard to love me," she says softly.

A Walk In The Woods!

Annie spots Ryan at the elevator and announces that his fan base is dwindling because Greens and Aidan are now engaged. Ryan gushes over the ring and then kisses her hand. He asks about the wedding plans and is curious when Greenlee says the sooner the better. Annie says fast is a good thing. She and Greenlee spar a little over the for-better-or-worse part of the wedding vows, confusing Ryan. He cuts in and suggests that he buy matching motorcycle helmets. Annie realizes that Ryan has recovered more memories - but not of her. Greens tries to cover for him, but Annie doesn't believe them. Greenlee leaves to meet Aidan. At the door she drops some papers and Ryan rushes to help her pick them up. He thanks her for the helmet lie. She hurries away as Annie approaches. She asks Ryan what he wants. He tells her about the therapist and asks how they fell in love. Annie tells him about their beginning and how he never gave up on her. Annie tells him about some romantic moments and sadly says that they were really in love. She says his loyalty is what made her believe he was really in love with her. Ryan has another memory flash - this time of Kendall! Then he flashes back to a lunch with Greenlee. Annie believes he is trying to remember a moment with her and reaches out to hold his hand. Ryan thinks about what the doctor said to him. Annie says she believes they still have a chance and goes back to her desk.

Secrets and Lies, Secrets and Lies!

Livia stops by Fusion to check on Annie. She happily says the divorce is off - at least for now! Livia leaves. Annie is studying a picture of her and Ryan when Greenlee happily marches in. Annie more or less ignores her, only giving her the barest of details about the other women. Seeing that she only has Annie to celebrate with, Greenlee pulls out a bottle of champagne and tells her about Aidan. As she twitters on about her wedding plans, Annie warns her to watch out because someone might crash it. Still upset over Ryan, Annie asks what happens when she becomes bored with Aidan - will she decide to mess with Ryan again? Greenlee fires back that she has no doubts about Aidan. Annie tells her about Aidan's drunken visit and asks what is really going on. She wonders if Greenlee accepted Aidan's proposal because Ryan sent her away - again! Just then Ryan arrives.

Here's Your Cake - Now Get Out!

Aidan shows up to Jenny's birthday party but Tad sends him away, saying there is a new case he needs to focus on. As he is leaving, Zach arrives. The two men eye one another but don't speak. Annie shows up just as Aidan is about to leave. He apologizes for showing up drunk and for blabbering on about things. He tells her to just forget everything. "Whatever," Annie says. She goes inside and Zach asks what is going on with Aidan. She shrugs off his interest. Krystal calls all the kiddos into the kitchen for ice cream. Opal and Babe are playing with little A. She tells Babe that Richie hasn't been the best houseguest but he isn't the worst either. She warns Babe to be very careful around Richie. Frankie arrives and Colby makes a beeline for him. She flirts and Frankie ignores her. JR and Adam arrive, surprising Babe. She corners JR and asks why he brought Adam; JR says he promised to play nicely. Across the room, Adam gives Krystal a gift: a blanket similar to one he bought for Charlotte! Krystal is touched but feels uncomfortable around him and hurries away. Annie sits down with Zach and tells him about the divorce papers. As they talk, Annie becomes emotional and wonders if tearing it up was the right thing to do. She brings up Greenlee, which leads to Aidan and she chatters on about his being drunk and mumbling about guilty feelings! Zach is intrigued. Annie tells him not to pay attention to Aidan's drunken ramblings because Kendall explained everything and it was very innocent. Just then Julia arrives with Kathy. She makes a beeline for Tad and they go off to find the cupcakes. Joe and Ruth watch them, wondering if he'll ever find Kate. Colby tracks down Frankie and asks why he keeps avoiding her. Calling her a kid, Frankie says he didn't kiss her back. Annoyed, Colby informs Frankie that she is no kid and that she helped deliver Jenny. Near the front door, Jesse is ready to skip out on the party but Angie tells him they can't leave early again. Just then Rob arrives. Tad wants him to leave but Ruth tells him not to overreact. She says Rob shouldn't be blamed for Ray's past sins. Tad agrees to let him stay but warns Rob that once the cake has been eaten he has to go. Rob goes over to Jesse and asks if they can talk about his time in hiding so that he can pass the information along to the movie producers. The cake is served. Tad grabs one piece, hands it to Rob and says he can go now. Rob graciously pretends that Tad isn't being rude. Tad turns to Jesse and wonders why Rob keeps hanging around.

Birthday Memories...

In another area of ConFusion, Ryan is stunned that Annie has had divorce papers drawn up. He says he'll go along with whatever Annie wants. The nicer he is the more upset Annie becomes until she can't take it any longer. She says she can't bear to think about her life without him but she also can't stand to be with him when he doesn't remember her. She asks what he really wants and Ryan says he just wants to move on with his life, memories or not. Finally, he asks Annie not to file the divorce papers and begs for a little more time. "I want something to hope for," he says. Annie gives in and rips up the divorce papers. She grabs her bag and runs out. He gets up to leave and sees Greenlee hugging Zach across the room. Ryan has another memory flash. He catches Greenlee's eye and she becomes nervous. She pulls away from Zach as Ryan leaves.

Aidan's Done!

At ConFusion, Annie thinks about what Livia said - that Ryan may be hurt by the divorce papers. She thinks about how patient Ryan was with her and how wonderful he has been to her and to Emma. As she is thinking, Ryan walks in the door! He sits down with her as she puts the papers away and starts by apologizing - again - for lying to her. She says they need to move on. He tells her about visiting the old apartment but doesn't say anything about Greenlee, his recovered memory or the kiss. He says even though he can't remember the past four years he is ready to start living in the present again. He goes on talking and Annie becomes very emotional; she tells Ryan that it hurts to be like this with him because this is how they talked before the amnesia. Ryan says he wants to get back to that relationship but Annie isn’t sure she can handle it. After taking a quick call, Ryan returns to Annie and tries to recapture the moment they were having. She tearily says she needs time. She gets up to leave but he bumps into her and knocks the folder with the divorce papers from her bag!

A Little Comic Relief!

Aidan keeps mumbling about his guilty feelings. Annie asks Kendall what is going on. Kendall says they both just feel guilty for not getting to Zach and Greens sooner. She tries to wake Aidan but he is out for the count. Annie doesn't buy her answer. Frustrated and afraid Annie might figure things out, Kendall changes the subject to Erica. Annie backs off and apologizes. She asks Kendall to leave and take Aidan with her because she can't take any more drama in her life. "I'm just done," she says sadly. After they are gone, Annie calls Livia and asks to meet. At Livia's office, she hands divorce papers to Annie but says this may be premature. Annie says she can't keep holding on when it seems like Ryan isn't even trying to recapture his memories of her. She turns to go but stops when Livia asks what happens if Ryan does regain his memory.
